Good morning good morning! Hope you’re having a great weekend! I actually ventured out of the house to do a little mowing yesterday – not a lot, just some of the spots where Addy was routinely getting her belly tickled on our walks. She’s not a fan of belly tickling – especially when she’s trying to do…the things one does on one’s walks! 😉 She’ll be a lot happier now!
Today’s card is a thumb-my-nose at the heat! I know it’s hard to even think of it – but…Christmas IS coming and it’ll be here before we know it! AND – we have some new Hot Foil goodies – like the gorgeous Twinkling Tidings Hot Foil Bundle and Starry Night Hot Foil Die – that I used on a Christmas card that I hope you’ll put on your list for this year. Happy weekend, y’all! I hope it’s going to be a good one for you! It’s still just stupid hot here. The other day we were at Costco and there was a lady trying on a sweater. Yes – the sweaters and down jackets are out. And, of course, the Halloween stuff. Soon they’ll have the Christmas trees. And it’ll still be a 1000 degrees outside! I need the things on the shelves to at least sort of jive with the outside temps. By the time I’m ready for a sweater – they’ll have the swimsuits on the racks! 🤦♀️

It’s been a minute since I made a gate fold card so…I decided to go with that this week. I decorated my DOUBLE gate fold Christmas card with pretty much ALL the new goodies in the Neutral Noel Suite – coming on 1 Sept in the new Sept-Dec 2026 Catalog! There are two wonderful bundles – the Noel Tidings and Welcome Noel bundles, gorgeous Neutral Noel Specialty DSP and the awesome Softly Woven 3D Embossing Folder. And a few others goodies, too! Today’s card is the result of a question on my Monday Zoom the Craftroom. One of my friends wondered how a Hot Foiled image would do if it was dry embossed. Naturally, I figured the best answer was to…do one! So – I hot foiled a piece of Calypso Coral cardstock with the Garden Silhouette Hot Foil Die and then embossed it in the Rustic Check 3D Embossing Folder (a new goody available to customers on 1 Sept!). It worked – perfectly! I hated to waste the panel, though – so…I pulled out the All Aflutter bundle and the Spotlight on Nature dies and made a card! Take a look-see:

Good half-weekend, y’all! Hope it’s going well so far. We’ve been sticking pretty close to home but…likely need to do some errands today so…. going to try to avoid our newest “diverging diamond” traffic pattern in town. Based on the videos I’ve seen it’s…maybe a spot to steer clear of ANY day but for sure on a weekend!
For today’s card, I pulled out another new product from the Sep-Dec 2026 Catalog – the wonderful Painted Pumpkin bundle – it has masks, just like Frosted Pinecones does! – and the coordinating Painted Patch DSP and Rustic Check 3D Embossing Folder. I think this Suite is going to be a fave, y’all! Take a look-see:
Happy AUGUST, y’all! I can’t believe it’s the last month of summer! The garden is slowing down – the kids are headed back to school. And on Friday morning there was a little bit of a chill in the air! Okay – it was at 5am and was not so chilly by 8, but…still! Soon, baby, soon! 🙂
