Good half-weekend, y’all! Hope it’s going well so far. We’ve been sticking pretty close to home but…likely need to do some errands today so…. going to try to avoid our newest “diverging diamond” traffic pattern in town. Based on the videos I’ve seen it’s…maybe a spot to steer clear of ANY day but for sure on a weekend!
For today’s card, I pulled out another new product from the Sep-Dec 2026 Catalog – the wonderful Painted Pumpkin bundle – it has masks, just like Frosted Pinecones does! – and the coordinating Painted Patch DSP and Rustic Check 3D Embossing Folder. I think this Suite is going to be a fave, y’all! Take a look-see:
Yes – the gate OPENS!! 🙂
I started by using the leafy background mask from the new Painted Pumpkins bundle – coming on 1 Sept 2026 – to add Petal Pink leaves and such to the dark side of a 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of Petal Pink cardstock.
Then I ran the panel thru the Rustic Check 3D Embossing Folder (also available on 1 Sept).
I double matted the panel – first on Cajun Craze and then on Very Vanilla cardstock.
I tore one edge of a 3/4″ x 3 3/4″ piece of Pecan Pie Two-tone Cardstock (with the dark side up) and then stamped the Painted Pumpkins “ground” image all over it in Pecan Pie ink. Then I adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.
Using the dies in the Painted Pumpkins set, I cut out the two gate pieces from the light side of a piece of Cajun Craze Two-tone Cardstock. Using one of our new Sanding Blocks (available 1 Sept) – I lightly sanded it to give it a rustic look.
I cut some gate hardware from Early Espresso cardstock and adhered them to the gate with Liquid Glue. I carefully “opened” the gate and lightly creased the “hinge” side.
Using more Liquid Glue, I adhered the two pieces together at the “post” – then I used Stampin’ Dimensionals only under the left side (that would be “fence”) to adhere it to the card front.
I used the dies in the set to cut some tendrils, leaves and pumpkin stems from Golden Glow 2026-2028 In Color Pearlized Paper. I also cut some pumpkins from Very Vanilla, Crisp Cantaloupe and Cajun Craze cardstock.
Using Liquid Glue, I adhered the stems to the back of the pumpkins. I also added a couple of tendrils here and there. Using Liquid Glue, I adhered five pumpkins and some extra tendrils and leaves “inside” the gate.
On a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock, I stamped a Painted Pumpkins sentiment in Early Espresso ink and cut it out with my Detail Scissors. I crafted a “hangar” from a piece of Linen Thread using Glue Dots on the back of the sentiment.
I “hung” the sentiment over a picket of the gate – adhering it with a Dimensional to the gate. Then I added a tiny bow with a Glue Dot.
I adhered the final two pumpkins to the fence side – being careful to keep them away from the hinge – with Liquid Glue and a Stampin’ Dimensional.
I added some extra tendrils and leaves to the front of the gate with Liquid Glue and the card front was done!
On the inside, I stamped a second Painted Pumpkins sentiment in Early Espresso on a Very Vanilla panel. Then I used the leaf mask to add Petal Pink leaves around the edges of the panel.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of my Crisp Cantaloupe card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got a little of the Painted Pumpkins masked leaves in Petal Pink on the front…
…and a little of the coordinating Painted Patch DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! Right?! A moving gate, perfectly die cut pumpkins and tendrils and all the foliage – PLUS fun sentiments?? And the Painted Pumpkins masks – there are five of them – the other four color the stamped pumpkins in the set. And the dies will cut out pumpkins from the Painted Patch DSP! Boom chaca-laca!!
I hope you like and I KNOW you’re busily writing this on your gotta-get-it-ASAP list for 1 Sept!! 😎

2026 BACK TO SCHOOL SALES TAX HOLIDAYS!
Thirteen states – plus Puerto Rico! – will have Sales Tax Holidays for school supplies in July and August and some Stampin’ Up! items qualify for the tax break in those states! According to state statutes, “items normally used by students in a standard classroom for educational purposes” are eligible. And – this includes select Stampin’ Up! products! BOOM!
The states with upcoming tax holidays are: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Illinois, Massachusetts**, Missouri, New Mexico, Ohio**, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia and Puerto Rico. So, if you live in one of those states or Puerto Rico, take a second to download the sheet below and mark your calendar! NOTE: The table on the left shows the states, their dates, and the limit. The right-hand table shows the SU! Items that qualify! And yes – ALL the Stampin’ Dimensionals qualify!! 😎
**MA & OH Special Note: Unlike the other participating states, Massachusetts and Ohio are not limited to the products listed in this document. Additional current Stampin’ Up! products may qualify based on each state’s exemption rules and price limits. (MA limit: $2,500 per item; OH limit: $20 per item.)
How Exemption Limits Work: Sales tax will not be applied to qualifying items priced at or below the exemption limit specified for each state. There is no limit to the quantity of qualifying items that may be purchased, provided each individual item does not exceed the applicable state limit.
Please note: You have to place your order with Stampin’ Up! DURING the tax holiday period in your state in order to receive these items tax-free (so – that’s from MIDNIGHT local time on the first day to MIDNIGHT local time on the last day of the tax holiday). Also, keep in mind that this is a STATE SALES TAX holiday and the state statute may not apply to county, city, and special jurisdiction taxes.
For those wondering about Georgia, Louisiana, New Jersey and Wisconsin, those states will NOT have the sales tax holiday this year. Whaawaaaaa…. 🙁
If you’re in one of the thirteen states or Puerto Rico – happy tax-saving!
