Good morning from…HOME! Yep – our 2026 Retreat is in the books – I’ll be sharing photos early next week – and everyone is getting back in the swing of things at home! As always, it was awesome and…we’re already looking forward to the next one!
Before I left for the retreat, I made a cool Z-Fold fun fold card that is ALSO a pretty Gift Card Holder. Birthday? Graduation? Just Because Day!? Yes to all of the above! It features the gorgeous Sunflower Fields DSP and the coordinating Radiant Sunflowers bundle. Take a look-see:
I started with a 5 1/4″ x 12″ piece of Sunflower Fields DSP. Using a Paper Trimmer, I scored it at 3″, 6 1/2″ and 10 1/2″. I folded the 3″ as a “mountain” and the remaining folds as “valleys”.
Then I decided to swap it up – and reversed all the folds. But – forgot to take a picture. When you fold your folds – be thinking about which side you’ll see where – and how you want that to be!
Using Tear & Tape Adhesive on the ends of the 1 1/2″ section on the end…
…I created the Gift Card Holder end of the card.
On a 3 1/4″ x 5″ piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped a Radiant Sunflowers sentiment in Early Espresso ink. In each corner, I stamped a Radiant Sunflowers flower in Early Espresso.
I colored the flowers with the Light Pecan Pie Stampin’ Blend (centers) and the Golden Glow (petals) and Crisp Cantaloupe (petal accents) Shimmer Brushes.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Golden Glow mat and then onto the middle panel of the DSP fun fold.
Using Liquid Glue, I adhered the z-fold to a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ piece of Golden Glow cardstock.
On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the large Radiant Sunflowers image twice in Early Espresso ink. I colored the flower centers with the Light Pecan Pie Stampin’ Blend. For a couple of the flowers – I first colored them with the Light Cajun Craze Stampin’ Blend – then went over them again with the Golden Glow Shimmer Brush.
The remainder of the flowers I colored with the Golden Glow (petals) and Crisp Cantaloupe (petal accents) Shimmer Brushes.
I colored the leaves with the Light Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Blend and then cut out both images with the matching die in the set.
Using Liquid Glue, I adhered the two images to the front panel of the Z-fold.
On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the Radiant Sunflowers sentiment in Early Espresso ink and cut it out with the label die in the set.
I adhered the sentiment to the card front with Liquid Glue.
I tied a bow from two lengths of Linen Thread and adhered it with a Mini Glue Dot.
Using the dies in the set, I cut out a larger sunflower from Golden Glow 2026-2028 In Color Pearlized Paper, a smaller flower in Golden Glow cardstock and a large flower center in Early Espresso Autumn Woodland Glimmer Specialty Paper.
I stacked the flowers and flower center – adhering them together with Liquid Glue.
Then I adhered them over the bow with double-stacked Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I added some Cajun Craze Painted Patch Adhesive-backed Dots and the card was done!
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Radiant Sunflowers flower on the front…
…and more of the Sunflower Fields DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! Well – just when I thought the Sunflower Fields DSP couldn’t get any better – it turns itself into a gorgeous fun fold – that is ALSO a pretty way to give someone special a gift card! I just added some flowers and sentiments from the Radiant Sunflowers bundle and…I was all set! And so will you be!!
