Good morning, y’all! It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!! We’ve got a sketch challenge to work with today and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table! I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!
I had a hankering to play with the soon-to-be-available Butterfly Bouquet bundle and gorgeous Butterfly Bijou 6″ x 6″ DSP (coming to you on 2 March!), so that’s what I reached for. I added a couple sentiments from Tranquil Thoughts and some leaves using its bundled Tranquil Dies (all available now). Take a look-see:
Hey y’all – welcome to the LAST SUNDAY of 2020!! Can you believe it? Besides some return to whatever “normal” is – what are your hopes and wishes for 2021?
Do not say World Peace. It’s too easy. 😉
If you were able to join me yesterday for my Facebook Live video, I appreciate you spending some of your weekend with me! If you weren’t able to watch the live version, but you’d like to see the replay on YouTube…here ’tis!
Happy Happy Hawwwmp Day and…Merry Christmas Eve Eve! Ready or not….it’s upon us, y’all!
We’re headed today to get my Christmas present. I’m excited! I mean – it’s a work thing, but…still! Only downside is we have to do the trek to Atlanta to get it. Bleh. But – I’m still excited!
My card today is a play on the Triple Time Technique – made quick and easy with the oh-so-handy-and-awesome Stamparatus! I used two new stamp sets – that you’ll be able to get on 5 Jan. One is a lovely background stamp called Wild Roses and the other is the wonderful Happy Thoughts sentiment set. Take a look-see:
Good morning and happy Friday! So – last night was pretty fun! We had a concert from Pat Benatar and yes…she DID hit us with her best shot. I mean, we belong AND we are young-adjacent, so… you know! 😉
If you were able to join me yesterday for my YouTube live, I appreciate you spending some time with me – if not, but you’d like to see the replay, here ’tis! 🙂
Good morning and Happy Happy HAWWWWMP Day!! Are you hitting that 24-hour Flash Sale hard? I hope so – I know there are sets on the sale that I don’t have – but…that will be different by the end of the day, for sure! I know – you’re shocked that there are sets I don’t have. It’s true, though! 😉
My card today is one that makes me think of Colorado in the Spring. Or the Fall. Or…heck…mid-Summer! 😉 Flowers, meadows, pines and…snow. I put the In the Pines Bundle together with the Field of Flowers Bundle to create a high-mountain meadow in bloom….with a light early snow flying about. Take a look-see:
Happy Friday!! I hope you’ve had an awesome week. Headed into a long weekend! So…put on your 3-day weekend pajamas! 🙂
If you were able to join me for my YouTube video yesterday – I appreciate you spending some of your day with me! If not, but you’d like to see the replay…here ’tis!
This card is a sneak peek of the new Comfort & Hope set from the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog. And it’s a sweet one – especially when paired with some wonderful textural paper from the In Good Taste DSP (also coming on 3 Jun in the new catalog). Take a look-see:
The color palette for this one is from the Global Design Project color challenge this week.
I started with a piece of stucco-looking paper from the new In Good Taste DSP (I can’t wait for you to get a good look at this paper in person – it’s amazing!) and began to build my “ink collage”.
In Blushing Bride, I stamped the wreath image from the Comfort & Hope set. Then I started adding leaves in stamped-off-once Pretty Peacock and faceted gems (not real – stamped!) in full strength Pretty Peacock.
The grid pattern stamped image is done in Soft Sea Foam – as are the little dots. These are all images from Comfort & Hope! I also added a couple of leaves in Soft Sea Foam.
Once all the stamping was done, I cut a Stitched Rectangle die from the middle of the panel and matted that die cut on Pretty Peacock. I used Liquid Glue to adhere the remaining “frame” to a Pretty Peacock mat. Then I popped the cut out back onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I tied a medium-sized simple bow with the gold trim from the new Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack (available 3 Jun) and adhered it with a Glue Dot.
On a piece of Whisper White, I stamped the sentiment from Comfort & Hope in Pretty Peacock. I added a grid image and some dots in Soft Sea Foam, and a few “faceted gems” in Pretty Peacock. Then I cut it out with the Timeless Label Punch.
I popped the sentiment onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals, added a few Gold Metallic Pearls – and the card front was done!
On the inside, I added a second sentiment in Pretty Peacock to a Whisper White panel. Then I inked and stamped more collage images in Blushing Bride, Pretty Peacock and Soft Sea Foam.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Pretty Peacock mat and into my Gray Granite card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.
My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more collage elements on the front…
…and some of the In Good Taste DSP – stamped with Comfort & Hope images – on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! I love that this pretty Comfort & Hope set is so conducive to creating stamped collages! The sentiments are also pretty perfect – especially for the times we’re in, huh?
And how cool does it look stamped on the In Good Taste DSP!?? I hope you like!

Anywho – I pulled out the Field Of Flowers stamp set and combined it with some paper from the Flowers For Every Season DSP and the coordinating Memories & More Card Pack. Take a look-see:
I started with a Just Jade card from the new Flowers For Every Season Memories & More Cards & Envelopes pack.
For the card front, I matted a piece of Flowers For Every Season DSP on a piece of Bumble Bee card stock. Then I cut a coordinating piece with a Stitched Rectangle Die and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.
I matted a strip of yet another design from the Flowers For Every Season DSP on Bumble Bee and adhered it with Liquid Glue. Then I wrapped a piece of the open weave ribbon from the new Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack around it – adhering it in the back with a couple of Glue Dots.
I cut down one of the small cards in the Flowers For Every Season Memories & More Card Pack. Then I stamped the pretty sentiment from Field of Flowers in Shaded Spruce and matted it on Bumble Bee.
I popped it onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals, added a Bumble Bee 2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dot and the card front was done!
On the inside, on a Very Vanilla panel, I stamped a second sentiment from Field of Flowers in Shaded Spruce. In the corner, I added the stems in Shaded Spruce and the sweet wild-flowers image in Crushed Curry. And…I thought I was done. But then…I spied with my little eye…the dragonflies in the set! Love dragonfly images, so…on they went in Tuxedo Black!
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Bumble Bee mat and into the Flowers For Every Season Memories & More Card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!
The pre-printed envelope from the Flowers For Every Season Memories & More Cards & Envelopes got more of the Field of Flowers flowers on the front…
…and the flap is already decorated on the inside, so…done!
Et Voila! You guys – I LOVE this Field of Flowers stamp set! The big focal sentiment “always”, in the gorgeous font, is designed to work in combination with the other words and phrases in the set. And…the flowers are wonderful!
And there is no denying the beauty of the Flowers for Every Season DSP, is there??
I hope you like!

Hey y’all – it’s Sunday (Happy Mother’s Day!!), which means I’ve got another fun challenge for you from the Paper Players – it’s a color challenge from our crafty Claire this week and it’ll for sure jump-start your creative mojo! I hope you’ll come and play along. 🙂
If you were able to join me yesterday for my Facebook Live video, I appreciate you spending some of your weekend with me! If you weren’t able to watch the live version, but you’d like to see the replay on YouTube…here ’tis!
Every Stampin’ Up! catalog includes a few stamp sets that are available only as Host rewards (or for individual orders that qualify!) and this new 2020-2021 Annual Catalog is no exception! As a little perk of being a Demonstrator (one of many!), I was able to buy two of the new sets during our Pre-Order. One of those, the Touched My Heart set, is the focal point for my perfect-for-Mother’s-Day card today! Take a look-see:
And here’s this week’s Paper Players color challenge! Hope you’ll join the fun and show us your projects! I can’t wait to see what you create! 🙂
I started with a piece of Pool Party cardstock and, using the two leaves images from the Touched My Heart set, stamped all over the panel in Pool Party ink. Then I added the little butterfly here and there amongst the leaves.
I used one of the embossing folders in the new Greenery Embossing Folder Pack (coming on 3 Jun in the new catalog), to emboss just the side of the panel. Then I adhered it to a Granny Apple Green mat with Liquid Glue.
On a piece of Whisper White, I stamped the pretty heart image from Touched My Heart in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. Then I colored it with the Melon Mambo and Granny Apple Green Watercolor Pencils.
I cut the image with the largest circle Stitched Shapes Die – then cut the next largest circle out of the middle.
I adhered the “frame” to the card front with Liquid Glue.
Then I wrapped a length of Whisper White 1/4″ Crinkled Seam Binding around the card front – adhering it in the back with Glue Dots. Finally, I popped the remainder of the image onto the card front – making sure to line the image up! – with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I stamped the sentiment in Granny Apple Green on a strip of Whisper White and snipped banner ends, edged it with my Pool Party Stampin’ Write Marker, then adhered it with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The Touched My Heart butterfly, stamped in Pool Party on Whisper White and fussy cut, then colored with the Melon Mambo Watercolor Pencil, is popped on with another Stampin’ Dimensional.
A single Melon Mambo gem from the Glitter Enamel Dots (these are retiring so get ’em fast!!) finished off the card front!
On the inside, I stamped a leaf and a butterfly in Pool Party on a Whisper White panel and colored them with the Watercolor Pencils…
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Granny Apple Green mat and into my Pool Party card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!
My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more Touched My Heart leaves and butterfly on the front…
…and on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! This is such a sweet and simple stamp set – with line-drawn images and lovely sentiments in pretty fonts – I know you’re going to want it in your tool chest!
I hope you like!
And I can help you get this stamp set – either now as a new demonstrator (yes, you can select pre-order goodies for your Starter Kit!!) or after 3 June (consider my Online Host Club!!). Give me a shout!

Finn Fan Fix
What about my sweet Finny made me think – even for a second – that he might…outgrow? this habit…??
That cutting board was used to chop up smoked chicken…..
Any southern dog worth his collards likes a good smoked chicken! 😉
Happy Friday!! Hope it’s been a good week for you. We’re just doing the self-isolation/quarantine thing…how about you? Besides card making – what fun things are you doing to keep yourself busy (and sane!) as we head into the 765th weekend of The COVID-19 Crisis??
If you were able to join me for my YouTube video – I appreciate you spending some of your day with me! If not, but you’d like to see the replay…here ’tis!
As you can see from the photo above – this card is based on the wonderful Magnolia Lane Suite – the Good Morning Magnolia bundle (with the Magnolia Memories Die set) and gorgeous Magnolia Lane DSP! I created a fun-fold that looks a lot like an envelope so…that’s what I’m calling it! Take a look-see:
The layout – that I turned into a fun-fold! – was inspired by this week’s Tuesday Morning Sketches challenge.
I started with a 5 1/2″ x 11″ piece of Mossy Meadow cardstock that I scored and folded at 2 5/8″ and again at 6 7/8″ for the card base.
On the smaller panel, I measured and marked the half-way point (2 3/4″) and used my Paper Trimmer to cut the point.
.
I used the same technique (measure half-way down the long side and cut to the point) to create the Petal Pink mat (2 1/2″ x 5 1/4″) and the Magnolia Lane DSP (2 3/8″ x 4 7/8″) panel. Note – this part of the card is at about the 7:35 mark in the video! 🙂
Then I adhered the pieces together and to the card front with Liquid Glue.
I adhered a different design of the DSP to a larger Petal Pink mat and then to the larger panel on the front.
For the sentiment, I inked the Good Morning Magnolia sentiment in Versamark Ink and stamped it on a piece of Basic Black card stock. I sprinkled it with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat set it with my Heat Tool. When it was cool, I cut it out with a Stitched So Sweetly label die.
Using the small flower die in the Magnolia Memories Die set – I cut a magnolia blossom from one of the designs in the Magnolia Lane DSP. I used the leaves dies to cut three Mossy Meadow leaves.
Using Liquid Glue – I adhered the flower to the sentiment label and the leaves to the underside of the label.
I used Black Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment to the point of the envelope fold – being sure to leave room for my ribbon to slide through to create my closure.
I added some Pearl Basic Jewels to the label – and the card front was done!
For the inside, I stamped the small flower from Good Morning Magnolia in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on a Whisper White panel. I colored the bloom with my Petal Pink and Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Blends Combo. Then I added a sentiment in Mossy Meadow.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Petal Pink mat and into my card base – and the card was done!
I slid a length of ribbon (either Petal Pink 5/16″ Organdy Striped Ribbon or the linen ribbon from the Magnolia Lane Ribbon Combo Pack – which is retiring and on sale!!) under the label and tied a bow to create the closure for the card.
My Whisper White Medium Envelope got another Good Morning Magnolia blossom on the front…
…and some more Magnolia Lane DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! This is a super easy fold – once you know the dimensions for the pointy flap, right? I love how it lets you showcase some gorgeous DSP like the Retiring-soon Magnolia Lane paper (and – it’s got a GREAT price right now)! I hope you like!
And I’m SO happy that the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set and coordinating Magnolia Memories Dies are carrying over!
Do remember, though – that the BUNDLE pricing (with its 10% Savings) WILL go away when this catalog ends. You’ll have to purchase the stamp set and dies separately in the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog!
Just sayin’….

Some days? The quarantining is just…too much for a guy. The humans need too much attention. Too much love. Too much…everything.
And you have to go sit out in a clearing by yourself and watch the birds and bugs. And maybe a deer. A little Me time.
Happy Friday!! Hope you’ve had a good week – and are looking forward to the weekend! Have you been perusing the Retired List in the online store? If you haven’t….stop right here and go double check! Here’s the link.
I’ll wait.
Good? Okay. 🙂
If you were able to join me for my YouTube video – I appreciate you spending some of your day with me! If not, but you’d like to see the replay…here ’tis!
The card I made was heavily inspired by a card I saw on one of the SU! Demonstrator FB pages, created by June Dunn. She thought way outside the box and saw…a hephalump’s badonkadonk in….the (Retiring) Honey Bee stamp set with the matching Detailed Bee Dies. And it was adorable. So…I made one of my own. Take a look-see:
I turned mine into a gate card fun fold and played along with the TGIF Challenge this week!
So…gate cards are seriously easy. But they LOOK like they might be tricky – making your awesomeness-quotient very high when you give one of these to someone! 😉 Hang tight – here we go!
I started with a Smoky Slate card base at 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ and used my Simply Scored tool to score along the long side at 2 1/8″ and 6 3/8″. Then I folded inwards at both score lines. Boom. Gate card. Made.
I matted two pieces of Blushing Bride paper from the Subtles 6″ x 6″ DSP on Blushing Bride card stock and adhered them to the outside of each gate with Liquid Glue.
For the bellyband, I used a 1″ wide piece of Blushing Bride card stock – about 10″ long. I wrapped it around the card, securing it in the front with Liquid Glue.
I cut the second-to-largest Stitched So Sweetly rectangle die in Whisper White and stamped a sentiment from the Honey Bee set in Blushing Bride. Then I adhered it to the belly band with Liquid Glue.
I used my Stamparatus to stamp the Honey Bee hive (or skep…) in Basic Gray three times. One of them, I cut with the die in the Detailed Bee set – that’s the badonkadonk.
The other two, I punched with the smooth-sided heart die from the (carrying over!) Heart Punch Pack. From the third one, I fussy cut a “trunk”.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the trunk and ears (that were hearts just a hot second ago!) to the Stitched So Sweetly panel. I popped the bee hive – which is now a hiney! – on with Stampin’ Dimensionals. 🙂
I cut a tiny flower from a scrap of Peaceful Poppies DSP using the little die from the Garden Gateway Dies (also carrying over – yeah!) and adhered it to the end of the trunk with Liquid Glue.
I made a little tassel from some Silver Metallic Thread and adhered it to…uh,hmmm…with a Glue Dot. I tied a teensy bow from Whisper White Solid Baker’s Twine and added it with another Glue Dot.
Two Champagne Rhinestone Jewels – one on the bow and one on the flower – finished off the belly band (which is, really, the card front!).
On the inside, I stamped a second Honey Bee sentiment in Blushing Bride on a Whisper White panel. I added the two flower images in Basic Gray – and colored the flowers with my Dark Petal Pink Stampin’ Blend.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Blushing Bride mat and into the card base – and the card was done!
My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more Honey Bee flowers on the front…
…and a little more Subtles 6″ x 6″ DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! How to make an elephant out of a bee hive. Cool, huh? The Honey Bee stamp set and matching Detailed Bee Dies are so sweet – and this will be your last opportunity to snap them up!
I hope you like!

Finn has decided he wants to be a brand spokesmodel.
For…Thirty One!
I took a bunch of my totes to the grocery store with me the other day and used them to load and get my groceries home.
And once I got home and unloaded them, I found…
That’s the dog version of a Vanna White vowel-turning hand wave!
