Good morning and happy Weekend! Hope it’s looking like a good one for you – and for my friends on the east coast – I hope you’re safe AND have power back! And…air conditioning! 🙁
I have no reason to think WE won’t have power today – so far hot, sticky and humid does NOT mean no power – so…I’m planning to go live this evening at 7pm Eastern over on my Stamps-N-Lingers FB page! I’ve got a colorful card to share with you – here’s a sneaky-peek!
It’s not my usual style – but…I like it anyway! And I think you will, too! So – I hope you’ll join me.
And – on a slightly different note…I’ve gotten dead serious about clearing the last few items off my retired shelf. So – I’ve cut the prices AGAIN by half! Yep – half of half, so…about a quarter of their original price. Come check it out – I’m pretty sure nothing will last for long at these prices! 😉
Good morning, my peeps! Hope you had a great weekend! With – hopefully! – good weather. And maybe a little socially-distanced fun thrown in along the way!
Jsut a quick note – this is the 3rd of August…so…this is your last day to GATHER up Bonus Days coupons! And – tomorrow will be the day you can start SPENDING them! Whooo-hoo!
And – something else is happening tomorrow…
What was that again…
Hmmm…
Oh – yeah. The Aug – Dec 2020 Mini Catalog goes LIVE to customers! YEAH!!
If you remember – the new Online Store is ALSO going active tomorrow at 7am Mountain Time! I gave you some tips and info on that the other day – check it out right here if you need a refresher. I’ll also send a reminder later on today, JIC! 🙂
Now. My card! I used a little stamp set that I’ve been enamored of since I first saw it in the new catalog – it’s called the Festive Corners set. It covers Halloween, Christmas and Valentine’s Day! I made it for Halloween, with the addition of some Magic In This Night DSP. Take a look-see:
Yikes! I am having a hard time wrapping my head around that, I gotta say.
So – I sent a post last night about the Online Store updating on Tuesday – that’s the 4th. If you didn’t read it – or if you did and it didn’t sink in – please take a hot second to re-read it now. It’s right here. Oh – and while you’re gone be sure to get your user name and password in your head – it’ll make the transition go much more smoothly! 😉
Okay – now that you’re back – I hope that you can join me tonight – I’ve got a pretty card with a wildly gorgeous new bundle in the Aug – Dec 2020 Mini Catalog to share with you! I’ll be live at 7pm Eastern on my Stamps-N-Lingers FB page. Take a sneaky peek!
I think you’re going to like it – so I hope you can join me!
Stampin’ Up! is updating the look and function of the online store! Whoo-hoo! The store will be updated beginning on 4 August with a new look and feel to help you better navigate it while you shop! Here is what you need to know so that you’re all set to shop on the 4th!
The new online store will go live at 7:00 AM (MT) on 4 August. So be aware that the online store will be offline temporarily early on 4 August as they transition to the new store. It should be back up and running no later than 7:00 AM MT for ordering from the new August-December 2020 Mini Catalog!
A few things to know:
Your account information and passwords will still work with the new site.
Be sure that you know your current login information so that you can log in right away on Tuesday! You won’t be able to count on Auto-Fill, okay?!?
If you don’t know your login information by heart (or if you do like I do and have it saved to your browser so that you don’t have to remember it every time):
Log into your SU! account today (go ahead – go do it!!) and then click on “my account” and then “email/passwords” and either record the information that is shown or, if it’s not shown, update your password and then write it down.
While old bookmarks and links will forward you to the new store, your browser will see it as a “new” site. If you rely on your browser to remember your login information, the first time that you log in, it will not associate the new site with that saved information.
Be sure that you see my name at the top on the right when you are shopping with me to earn my rewards and benefits for ordering! 😉
If you have trouble logging in on Tuesday:
Once the new store is up and running on Tuesday, if you have trouble logging in, you can click the “Forgot Password” link on the new online store’s sign-in page and follow the steps to reset your password. The password reset email will come from noreply@info.stampinup.com. Adding this email address to the contacts list in your email program and/or searching for your email program’s spam settings can help you ensure that you receive the email.
If you don’t see an e-mail pretty quickly – be sure to check your Junk or Spam folder – it MIGHT have gone in there!
Should you run into any problems, there is a link in the password reset window to a page with additional information.
If you have trouble accessing your account, Stampin’ Up! can also help you reset your password. Just call them at 1-800-STAMPUP and they’ll be happy to help! Unfortunately, I’m not able to assist with password changes as it’s a security issue for you. But Stampin’ Up! can definitely help you!
Hopefully this will be a seamless transition for you on 4 August! I’m looking forward to seeing the new site design too!
Happy Shopping!

Hey y’all – it’s Sunday, which means I’ve got another fun challenge for you from the Paper Players – it’s a clean-and-simple theme challenge from Jaydee. Our theme is CELEBRATION! – which is appropriate since this is The Paper Player’s 500th Challenge!! Whoo-hoo!! I hope you’ll come and play along to help us celebrate! 🙂
If you were able to join me yesterday for my Facebook Live video, I appreciate you spending some of your weekend with me! If you weren’t able to watch the live version, but you’d like to see the replay on YouTube…here ’tis!
I picked birthday celebration for my theme – and pulled from the Happiest of Birthdays stamp set for my big bold focal sentiment. I added it atop some relatively subtle plaid from the new Plaid Tidings DSP – coming on 4 Aug in the Aug – Dec 2020 Mini Catalog!! Take a look-see:
I also pulled a little help for the layout of the smaller “card” on the front of my fun-fold from this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge.
This is a SUPER easy fun fold, y’all! It probably looks familiar – cuz I did a similar fold not too long ago, using the Forever Fern Bundle!
For this one, I started with a piece of gorgeous plaid paper from the Plaid Tidings DSP pack that I matted on Misty Moonlight and then adhered to my Bumble Bee card base with Liquid Glue.
I cut a smaller piece of the same plaid and matted it on Misty Moonlight – to make the card front for the small card.
I placed a piece of Whisper White into my Stamparatus and, using the Marker-to-Rubber technique, stamped the Happiest of Birthdays sentiment. I colored the large letters with my Shaded Spruce Stampin’ Write Marker and used the Pretty Peacock Marker for the small letters.
I used a Stitched Rectangle Die that was the right width – but too long – to cut the sentiment. I made it smaller by running the cut thru my die cutting machine a second time. The video shows how to do that – way easier than words would do! You can scroll thru to about the 14 minute mark! 🙂
I used Liquid Glue to adhere a small strip of Bumble Bee plaid from Plaid Tidings to the bottom of the sentiment, then popped the whole thing onto the small card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added a single Bumble Bee 2020-2021 In Color Enamel Dot – and the small card front was done.
For the inside, I matted another strip of the Bumble Bee Plaid Tidings DSP on Misty Moonlight and then adhered it to a Whisper White panel.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Misty Moonlight mat and into the small Bumble Bee card base – then I adhered that whole little card to the larger card base – offset to the left – with Liquid Glue – and the fun-fold card was done!
My Whisper White Medium Envelope got another fun sentiment from Happiest of Birthdays on the front – in Pretty Peacock ink…
…and more of the blue-toned Plaid Tidings DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! The Happiest of Birthdays stamp set is perfect for clean-and-simple cards – the big bold sentiments really do all the work! It’s also handy to have a cute sentiment for those SO FEW times you MIGHT be a little-bit-late with a card! 😉
And – Stampin’ Up! heard us when we asked for MORE PLAID!! The new Plaid Tidings DSP is gorgeous!!
I hope you like!
If you want to recreate this card – all the Stampin’ Up! products you need are listed down below along with the card cuts! And – of course, you can get a taste of the Plaid Tidings DSP in one of my Aug – Dec 2020 Mini Catalog Shares!
Now – before you reach for your ink and papers, check out what our amazing team has created to inspire you this week:
Use this host code when you order $50 or greater and receive a free gift (AND the Monthly Card Tutorial!) from me! If your order is over $150, please do not use this code, but you’ll still get the free gift. The free gift is your choice of any item valued up to $10.00 in any active Catalog! Finn Fan Fix
Stickers?
No…I mean…I do remember some weeds that I MIGHT have run thru in my search for the perfect spot for…err….you know…
Happy Friday, y’all! It’s been a busy time here for us – Wayne’s been working outside, sawing lumber and repairing fences. Mowing the never-ending grass. We’ve worked in the garden – you can see a little of the “fruits” of our labors in Finn’s spot below. And, of course, it’s been hot and muggy and generally….the South-in-Summer!
Which is why, with all my Aug – Dec 2020 Mini Catalog pre-order goodies looking me in the face, I’ve been making some winter-ish cards. As I predicted when I was griping about being cold a few months ago…now? Yep. Griping about being hot. My 4 degree comfort-zone-window is being breached at every turn! LOL!
If you were able to join me yesterday for my YouTube live, I appreciate you spending some time with me – if not, but you’d like to see the replay, here ’tis! 🙂
This is a really cool fun-fold, it’s called a Dutch-Door Gate Fold and I think you’ll see why in a sec. I used the beautiful new Sweetest Time stamp set with the amazing and bundled Sweetest Borders Dies. Take a look-see:
Yes – if you’re looking closely – you’ll see that this card looks different from the card in the video thumbnail. There’s a reason for that – and you’ll need to watch the video to find out what it is! 🙂
For this one, I started by scoring, cutting and folding a 7 1/2″ x 11″ piece of Real Red card stock as shown in the video – and according to this template…
Once I had it all cut and folded, I decorated the gates with some pretty, new Plush Poinsettia Specialty DSP matted on Mossy Meadow. I used Glue Dots – hidden behind the flocked images on the DSP – to adhere it to the mats and then used Liquid Glue to adhere the panels to the fronts of the gates.
Pretty, huh? 🙂
I stamped the three-candle image from Sweetest Time in Real Red on Whisper White and fussy cut it, then popped it onto a Whisper White panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added a Daffodil Delight “flame” above each candle with the little stamp in the set.
Using the dies in the Sweetest Borders Dies, I cut a bunch of holly leaves and pine boughs in Pear Pizzazz and Mossy Meadow. I also stamped berries in Real Red and cut them out as well.
I added the leaves and boughs around the candles with Liquid Glue. I tied a bow with the Gold Trim from the Wonder of the Season Ribbon Combo pack and adhered it with a Glue Dot. Finally, I adhered the berries with Liquid Glue and Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
On a strip of Whisper White, I stamped the Sweetest Time sentiment in Mossy Meadow, snipped banner ends and adhered it with Liquid Glue – and a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional on each end. I used more Liquid Glue to mat the panel on Mossy Meadow and adhere it to the top panel of the card base – and the front of the gate card was done!
On the inside, I added a second Sweetest Time sentiment in Mossy Meadow to a Whisper White panel. Under it, I stamped Real Red candles and Daffodil Delight flames, as well as a couple of Pear Pizzazz holly leaves.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Mossy Meadow mat and into the card base – and the card was done!
My Whisper White Medium Envelope got another candle and holly leaves on the front…
…and added the candles to the envelope flap, as well!
Et Voila! This Sweetest Time stamp set – and its bundled (and AWESOME!) Sweetest Borders Dies – is a great bundle to have in your kit bag as we get ready to head into the holiday season.
And don’t miss the gorgeous Plush Poinsettia Specialty DSP (you can get a taste of it in my Aug – Dec 2020 Mini Catalog Shares!)…
Hint: you can actually cut those flocked poinsettia flowers with one of the dies in the new Poinsettia Dies set! Cool, huh?
I hope you like and are adding these goodies to your gotta-have-it-right-away list! The catalog goes live on 4 Aug for customers or… you could join Stampin’ Up! with me right now and select any or all of these new goodies to fill your Starter Kit and then get at least 20% off EVERYTHING you buy for as long as you stay active! 😉
If you want to recreate this card – all the Stampin’ Up! products you need are listed down below along with the card cuts!

P.S. This is the card in the video thumbnail! It’s a CASE of the sample card on page 21 in the Aug – Dec 2020 Mini Catalog and it uses the fun edgelit die with the holly leaves and pine boughs. I explain in the video how to make it if you prefer this version! Yup – it’s a two-fer. Sort of! 😉

Finn Fan Fix
Finn asked me to share a little garden bounty with you.
So here it is – our first Mater Sandwich tomato of the season (which – fun fact – is on a plant that I’d pretty much given up for dead 5 weeks ago!!)
These pictures are about 2 days apart!
Big and starting to get a little blush…
A little more…
…and almost Wonder-Bread-and-mayonnaise ready!
I’m trying to decide…mater sandwich on white bread/mayo/salt/pepper? Or…big slab of mater on half of an Everything Bagel – salt/pepper/slice of cheese on top – under the broiler for a little toast!?!
Hey, y’all – happy (?) Monday! I added the question mark just in case you’re not thrilled for the week to get back underway!
My Monday is likely going to be pretty average – with the exception of having to go to the dentist this afternoon for a crown prep. Bleh.
Thank goodness for nitrous, am I right?!? Sooo much nicer than the suck-it-up-buttercup of military dentistry! Novocaine? We got that. Gas that makes you not care when we GIVE you the shot?
uhm…nope. 😉
So this is much better all the way around!
My card today is a sneak peek of a wunnermus new bundle in the 2020 Aug – Dec Mini Catalog (formerly known as the Holiday Catalog) – I took inspiration from one of the pretty samples in the catalog! You’re going to be able to get these on 4 August! It’s the Love of Leaves stamp set which will be bundled with the amaze-balls Stitched Leaves Dies that I set atop the gorgeous new Gilded Autumn Specialty DSP. Take a look-see:
