Stampin’ Up! Forever Fern Sneak Peek with Video Tutorial

Happy Friday!!  Hope it’s been a good week for you.  I’ve been busy with the pre-order and doing a lot of ooohing and aaahing over all the new pretties!  And putting shares together for you – look for those to be announced tomorrow.  And pulling retired product off the shelves to “make room”.  And deciding to open up a new Host Club in June to help y’all get all the fun new things I know you want – check that out down below.  Ordering catalogs and checking my mailing list. Yes – busy busy!!

If you were able to join me for my YouTube video yesterday (one of the highlights of my week!) – I appreciate you spending some of your day with me!  If not, but you’d like to see the replay…here ’tis!

This is a set you maybe (probably?!) haven’t seen before? Yep – it’s brand spanking new and it’s part of the Forever Greenery Suite in the new 2020-2021 Annual Catalog, which you can get your hands on on 3 Jun!  The stamp set, called Forever Fern, is bundled with one of the coolest die sets ever – the Forever Flourishing Die set.  And the Forever Greenery DSP is…stunning!  I also grabbed a cool stitched circle die from the new Tasteful Labels die set. Take a look-see (the card on the right is the one we made in the video!):

I’m playing along with this week’s Watercooler Wednesday Challenge.

This is a fun-fold that I saw on a SplitCoast Stampers tutorial, from the talented Kelly Atcheson.  I thought it was cool, so I made one myself!

I started with a piece of new Just Jade, cut to 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ for the card base.  Then I embossed a Whisper White panel in one of the new Greenery Embossing Folders (this is a 2-folder pack, available in the Forever Greenery Suite on 3 Jun).  These are small folders – so I ran the panel thru the die cutting and embossing machine twice to get the whole thing embossed.

I adhered the panel to the card front with Liquid Glue. Note: on the video, I cut this panel at 4″ x 5 1/4″ and matted in on Shaded Spruce before adhering it to the card front).

The small flap is really just a small tent card – I cut a Just Jade piece at 3 1/4″ x 8 1/2″, scored and folded it at 4 1/4″ and then adhered the back of the note card to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I matted a beautiful piece of the new Forever Greenery DSP on a Shaded Spruce panel and adhered it to the front of the flap with Liquid Glue.

Using two of the spectacular dies in the Forever Flourishing Dies, I cut a large leaf in Shaded Spruce and a slightly smaller one in Pear Pizzazz. Before I cut the leaves, I spritzed the card stock lightly with water using my Stampin’ Spritzer.  I adhered the leaves to the front of the flap-card with Liquid Glue.

There’s another cool new product in this Suite, called the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack.  One of the two trims in the pack is a gold twine/thread.  I tied a large-ish bow with that gold trim and adhered it to the flap front with a Glue Dot.

I stamped the Forever Fern sentiment in Shaded Spruce on a piece of Whisper White and cut it out with the larger circle die in the Tasteful Labels die set.  This cool set – coming on 3 Jun – is bundled with the Tasteful Touches stamp set.

I popped the sentiment over the gold bow with Stampin’ Dimensionals – added a Just Jade 2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dot (coming on 3 Jun) – and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped a large leaf in Shaded Spruce and smaller leaf image in Pear Pizzazz – both in the Forever Fern set.  On the video card – I also added a sentiment in Shaded Spruce!

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Shaded Spruce mat and into the small card base – and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more Forever Ferns leaves on the front…

…and more of the Forever Greenery DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila! Okay – just get ready, cuz you’re going to hear this a lot in the next few weeks.  Ready?  I think this Forever Fern bundle and the whole Forever Greenery Suite is absolutely going to be my favorite in the new catalog.  It is simply stunning!!  And you KNOW how much I love die cut leaves – and this Forever Flourishing Die set is chock-a-block full of beautiful leaf dies!!

I hope you like. No!  I hope you LOVEEEEEE it as much as I do.  And cannot WAIT to get it for yourself! Psst – I can make that happen for you – just join my team right now and pick this for your Starter Kit.  And then get the rest of the pre-order goodies – right away, no waiting until 3 June! – with a 20% discount.

Just throwing it out there for you!

New Online Host Club Beginning in June!

What is an Online Host Club?

Well – besides helping you to build your crafting tool chest a little at a time, a club also lets you get host benefits – without actually HOSTING a workshop!

A club consists of three folks doing two consecutive three-month terms.   Each person commits to buying $50 before shipping and tax each month.

Here’s how it shakes out…this is just an example!  As you can see, each member gets to host TWICE during the six months!!

At the end of the club, I let each member select a stamp set up to $25 that I send to them for free.

What are the other bennies of a Host Club?

  • At least a $150.00 Workshop order during EACH of your host months!
  • Which means you’ll have at least $15.00 of Stampin’ Rewards dollars to spend on the exclusive Host Stamp Sets, or any other current Stampin’ Up! product during your host months.  Stampin’ Rewards are Stampin’ Up!-speak for “free money”!
  • You’ll earn DOUBLE PEPPERMINTS on your Host Club Orders.  Each $50 order earns 4 reward points, a $75 order earns you 6 reward points, etc. You’ll earn at least 24 reward points during your membership, meaning you’ll automatically earn at least ONE $40 Peppermint rewards gift!  (Remember – when you gather up 16 Peppermints, you get to select a free reward gift valued up to $40!).  You can get more info about my Punkin’ Heads Customer Rewards Program right here.
  • You’ll receive a FREE monthly tutorial with 4-5 projects and access to all previous tutorials for the duration of the club. Right now, there are over FORTY tutorials available only to Online Host Club members.  That’s around TWO HUNDRED not-seen-on-our-blogs projects for you to use as inspiration (and they ALL have all the card cuts and instructions!)
  • FREE catalogs during your membership term
  • FREE shipping in your Host Months
  • A FREE STAMP SET of your choice valued up to $25 at the end of each “term”, any current set (excluding host sets)!
  • At the end of the full 6 months, you’ll get first dibs at signing up for the next 6 month term!

When you join the club – you’ll commit to the full six months – in two consecutive three-month increments.   Not only will that help you gather up 2020-2021 Annual Catalog goodies – it’ll put you in a perfect position for the 2020 Jul – Dec Mini Catalog (previously known as the Holiday Mini!!).

Don’t delay – there are limited spaces available!

If you want to join us or if you have ANY questions about how it would work…please give me a holler!

Finn Fan Fix

Today is about flowers.  A particular flower.

Finn likes flowers.  Roses in particular.

Well – he might, you don’t know!! 😉

I planted a rose in a pot a while back – in March.  We bought it at Sam’s.  Along with some lilacs and the raspberries and blueberries.

Sam’s – it’s not just for toilet paper anymore.  Or…at all, actually! 😉

So – when I planted it on 22 Mar, I took a picture of the package so that when it started to die (my expectations of my ability to actually grow a rose….low) I’d at least know what to Google.

I picked it cuz it said “very fragrant”.  Scientific, I know.

Well.  I didn’t kill it!  In fact…..this is what I found on 14 April!  A baby rose!!

So I kept watching – peering at the leaves each morning and evening waiting for signs of the impending demise of my Pink Peace Hybrid Tea Rose with its Magnificent, Very Fragrant blooms of deep, dusky pink on long stems.  And…leathery foliage.

But no….five days ago….

And then – three days ago….

And then, yesterday, it happened!

I GREW A ROSE!!! A Pink Peace one!!

And…guess what!??

It really IS magnificent and VERY FRAGRANT! And – I’m pretty sure it has leathery foliage, too! 😉

Boom!

  1. Such a pretty card! Love the colors and design. And yay for growing a rose! We had some in GA and I never did a thing to them and they bloomed like crazy! So many neglecting them is what makes them grow. 😉

Well – this one is in luck, then. Beyond watering it and smelling it – I have no clue what to do for it! 🙂 Thanks, Amy!

  2. Elisha Smith

  5. There is no doubt in my mind that Finn’s fave rose is any type of Peace rose. I’ve got to get this one. I have the one that is yellow with peach on it. I love the fragrance. I am still wiping the drool off my face from yesterday. I can’t wait to get home and have my pre-order arrive. I decided not to order it for here because we barely had any room for my feet in the truck!

    • stampsnlingers

That is SUCH a wonderful Suite! Thanks so much, Karen – I’m excited to see what you make with it! 🙂

  6. Kathy Fennell

Stunning card Mary and love the fun fold! Your Pink Tea Rose is beautiful and you will get a lot more from this gorgeous plant. My Mom had these in her front yard. She got starts from Rose Hills Cemetery and every year they would grow as high as her roof and put out so many long stem pink roses she didn’t know what to do with them all. During the bloom season and we would have family gatherings she would have vases full of these beauties all over the house. The fragrance from them is unforgettable. Enjoy them my friend 🙂

    • stampsnlingers

I’m told that my grandparents had Peace roses, too – love the fragrance! I might have to get another one!! Thanks so much, Kathy! 🙂
