I was honored to be selected as the Featured Artist for a fun As You See It challenge this week and I decided to go back to the 2022-2023 Annual Catalog for my card – showcasing the gorgeous Hues of Happiness suite! The Happiness Abounds stamp set and bundled Blossoming Happiness die set worked hand-in-hand with the Hues of Happiness DSP. Take a look-see:
Good morning, y’all! It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! We’ve got a sweet Theme challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table – I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!
So…when I saw the theme, I decided to use the Apple Harveststamp set. Hint – the theme is…HARVEST. And – we get a lot of apples here and…Harvest is in the name!! So…duh! AND – as I sat at my table – a wonderful new goody was calling my name. It’s called the….drum roll….Apple Blossoms die set! And you’ll be able to get it on 1 Sept (or…join the team and get it right NOW like I did!). Take a look-see at what I did with it!

And I played along with the Tic-Tac-Toe challenge board, too. I went across the top and down the right column!
I started by using the grid mask in the Artistic Mix Decorative Masks to color a Basic White panel with Petal Pink ink. Then I adhered the panel to a Petal Pink mat with Liquid Glue.
I used the new (or the WILL-BE-NEW!) Apple Blossoms dies to cut two Soft Suede branches. Y’all – check out this die set! It’s so cool – I love the flowers and leaves and branch dies! You’ll be able to get it by itself (if you already have the Apple Harvest stamp set) OR you’ll be able to buy it bundled with Apple Harvest – and save 10%! I’ll be sharing more info about the “Perfect Partners” promotion as we get closer! 🙂
I adhered the two branches to the card front with Liquid Glue.
Using the dies in the Apple Blossom set, I cut out three Basic White flowers, three Petal Pink flower centers, three Garden Green large leaves, two Granny Apple Green small leaves and a partridge in a pear tree…… 😉
That last one isn’t real!
On a piece of Basic White, I stamped the two apple images from the Apple Harvest stamp set in Soft Suede ink. I colored them with my Granny Apple Green and Garden Green Watercolor Pencils – and the stems with a Soft Suede Stampin’ Write Marker.
Here’s how I did the frame. I set all the pieces and parts in place – then set the 4th from smallest Stitched Rectangle Die over the top. Using a Basic Gray Stampin’ Write Marker, I traced around the edges – leaving a gap in the frame around the die cut elements. I removed the die and free-handed the rest of the frame.
I adhered the top apple with Stampin’ Dimensionals – then added all the other elements with Liquid Glue. The flowers are a two-piece element – Petal Pink small piece on the Basic White flowers that I’d lightly colored with Petal Pink using a Sponge Dauber.
On a piece of Petal Pink cardstock, I stamped the Apple Harvestsentiment in Soft Suede and cut it out with the label die in the Apple Blossoms die set.
Using two lengths of Parakeet Party twine from the 2022-2024 In Color Baker’s Twine Combo, I tied a simple bow and adhered it with a Glue Dot.
I used some Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment onto the card front – right over the tails of the bow!
I added Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the middles of the flowers and to the card front and the card was done!
On the inside, I stamped a second sentiment from Apple Harvest in Soft Suede ink on a Basic White panel. I added the crosshatch image from the set in Petal Pink – and then stamped it in two corners in stamped-off-once Petal Pink.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Petal Pink mat and into my Soft Suede card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Apple Harvest cross-hatch image in Petal Pink on the front…
…and the apple (colored with the Watercolor Pencilsand Soft Suede Stampin’ Write Marker) on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! Okay – I already loved the Apple Harvest stamp set – it’s just stinkin’ gorgeous! BUT – add in the ability to cut out all the stamped images AND extra flowers and leaves and branches – oh my! – with the coming-soon Apple Blossoms dies and…that’ll knock it outta the park! I also love the background created with the Artistic Mix Decorative Mask and a Blending Brush, don’t you?!

We can interpret that any way we want – so…be sure to check and see everyone’s projects – we’ve got a bunch of talented ladies hopping with us this month!
I am a big fan of leaves for Autumn/Fall cards and some bare trees – like…Aspens! – just adds to my fan-hood! So…I pulled out the Perched in a Tree bundle with its Aspen Tree die set. Then I colored some Rustic Harvest DSP with my Blending Brushes, and cut a few gold glimmer wheat tops with the Wheat Dies. Take a look-see:

Good morning good morning good morning! I hope you’re having a great weekend! We got all our second-round tomatoes planted, the kale harvested (needed the space for the tomatoes!), harvested a YELLOW SQUASH!!, and more beans. It was a good day. Hotter than hades but…a very good day in the garden!
I managed to stop sweating in time for my video last night where I shared a simple card layout – that I did three ways – using the Decorated with Happiness stamp set, with the bundled & gorgeous Decorated Pine dies, and some Timber 3D Embossing. Take a look-see:

My card today is one that I made a little bit ago for my friend’s birthday – and held it back so that she wouldn’t see it. But – she’s been eating the chocolate chocolate chip banana bread I sent, so…the cat is out of the bag! This one uses the Rings of Love DSP and the coordinating Ringed with Nature stamp set, the Charming Sentiment Bundle and two a la carte goodies – the Rugged Icons Dies and Twigs & Sprigs 3D Embossing Folder and Die. Good morning, y’all! It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! We’ve got a sweet sketch challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table – I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!
I had a request for a card to send a young lady off to the 5th grade – and decided that this sketch was a great time to make that happen! I picked the totes-adorbs Hippest Hippo stamp set and coordinating Hippo Dies (BOTH available for FREE during Sale-A-Bration!) and some Celebrate Everything DSP (a free Host-Exclusive paper pack). Take a look-see:

I started by adhering two designs from the Celebrate Everything DSP on Granny Apple Green using Liquid Glue – then I adhered the smaller panel to the card front with more Liquid Glue. Celebrate Everything is a Host pack from the Annual Catalog – and you can get it for free with an individual order or workshop with a retail value of $180. And it’s REALLY cool – it has 48 sheets of wonderful designs!!
I cut out a circle from Basic White cardstock using the next-to-largest die in the Stylish Shapes Dies and adhered it with Liquid Glue.
On another piece of Basic White, I stamped the en-pointe Hippest Hippo ballerina in Tuxedo Black – and cut it with the matching die in the Hippo Dies!
Remember that the Hippest Hippo stamp set and Hippo Dies are both available for FREE with $50 orders while Sale-A-Bration continues (thru the end of this month!).
I colored the hippo with my Light Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blend (her body) and the Basic Gray Watercolor Pencil (her schnoozle and belly). She’s sporting Light Flirty Flamingo Blends on her nails and…for her toe-shoes. 😎
For her skirt, I stamped the image again in Tuxedo Black on another piece of the Polished Pink Celebrate Everything DSP (same pattern as the card front). Then I used my Paper Snips to cut out her tutu – which I adhered to her with Liquid Glue. HINT: that’s called Paper Piecing! 🙂
I used Liquid Glue to adhere her to the Basic White circle.
I cut out three “grass” die cuts – two from Granny Apple Green cardstock and one from a Granny Apple Green design in Celebrate Everything – and adhered them with a Stampin’ Dimensional.
The sentiment – from A Grand Kid – is stamped in Granny Apple Green and cut out with my Paper Snips – then adhered with a couple of Dimensionals and a dab of Liquid Glue.
I added some Polished Pink and Basic White flowers cut with the Hippo Dies – using Liquid Glue and Dimensionals. Each flower has a Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewel in the center.
I pondered how to make it more 5th-grade centric and settled on a quick Polished Pink number 5 from the Alphabeststamp set (I hand wrote the “th” with a Stampin’ Write Marker) that I punched with the bundled Best Label punch!
I tucked the number under her gracefully pointed…hoof?…with a little Liquid Glue.
Then I added some Polished Pink 2022-2024 In Color Opal Rounds in the centers of the fireworks on the DSP and the card front was done!
For the inside, I stamped a second sentiment from A Grand Kidin Granny Apple Green on a Basic White panel. In the corner, I stamped a second Hippest Hippo in Tuxedo Black and colored her with my Blends and Watercolor Pencil!
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Granny Apple Green mat and into my Polished Pink card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the little flower-holder on the front…
…and more Celebrate Everything DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! I hope the little recipient will like this Hippest Hippo ballerina – I sure had fun making her. And it’s so cool to be able to just cut them out with the Hippo Dies. Add in the fact that they’re…FREE?!? Yes, please! Do NOT miss the Host-Excusive Celebrate Everything DSP– where else can you get a HUGE pack of amazing paper for free!? And – you’re going to WANT the Alphabest bundle on your shelf – perfectly sized and SOOO handy!!

Happy happy Hawwmp Day, y’all! This is errands and get-things-done day for us – we’ve discovered that Wednesday mornings (-ish) are about as good a time as we can find to get grocery shopping done. ESPECIALLY if we have need of Walmart. Which…we’ve been using more and more recently. And of course – Sams. Costco. Yeah – it’s the whole deal!
