Stampin’ Up! Color & Contour Sneak Peek

Happy Happy HAWWWMP DAY!!  Wheeeeee…..cresting the middle of the week and sliding down the backside to the weekend!  This Saturday I get to do my virtual OnTour Event with Stampin’ Up!  This is a Zoom event – in lieu of in person, cuz…you know!  I’ve heard good things from the folks who’ve already had their event – so….I’m looking forward to it! 🙂 Hope you’ve got something that you’re looking forward to, too! 🙂

I’ve got a Sneak Peek for you today of a cool new bundle from the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog – that you’ll be able to pick up on 4 May!  The stamp set, called Color & Contour, will be bundled with a cool set called Scalloped Contours.  I used both of them and added some Flowers For Every Season DSP  (available right now in the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog – but retiring SOON!).  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one is from the sketch at the Inspired By challenge.

…and by the inspiration photo from the As You See It Challenge.  This one was also a speed challenge – and this card took me 9:40 to complete (you know – once I’d figured out what I was going to do)! 🙂

I cut a Just Jade piece of paper from the Flowers For Every Season DSP  using the largest Scalloped Contour Die and then I adhered it with Liquid Glue to the front of a Misty Moonlight card base.

On a piece of Basic White, I stamped the flower image from Color & Contour in Just Jade – then I cut it with the largest Stitched Shapes circle die and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I stamped the Color & Contour detailed outline flower three times on Basic White – twice in Bumble Bee and once in Magenta Madness.  I used the fill stamp (this is a two-step set) with the same colors.  I cut the three flowers with the die in the Scalloped Contours set.

I adhered the Magenta Madness and one of the Bumble Bee flowers with Liquid Glue and popped the third flower on with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The sentiment, from Color & Contour, is stamped in Misty Moonlight on Basic White, and cut it with the smallest rectangle in the Scalloped Contour die set.  I popped it onto the card front with Dimensionals.

I added Cinnamon Cider or Bumble Bee dots from the 2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dots to the middle of the flowers – added a Just Jade dot to the sentiment and the card front was done!

Serious?!  How fun is this set?? I LOVE those scalloped rectangles – and they’re perfectly sized for A2 cards!

On the inside, I stamped the Bumble Bee Color & Contour flowers in the corner of a Basic White panel.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Just Jade mat and into the card base and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Color & Contour flowers on the front…

..and more of the Flowers For Every Season DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  This quick card was easy to make with this new Color & Contour bundle  – and I KNOW you’re going to want it for yourself, just as soon as you can get it – which is 4 May.  Unless, of course, you decided to join the SU! team right now – THEN you could get it – and any of our other pre-order goodies! – right now in your Starter Kit (a huge value in and of itself) and with your cool new 20% discount! 😉

I hope you like!

If you’d like to recreate this card, all the products and card cuts are listed below!

Finn Fan Fix

Wayne and I worked outside on Sunday and much of Monday – planting and tidying up the patio off the barn.

At the end of the day on Monday, after we fed, it was so nice outside that we sat out on the patio for a bit.

With Finn, of course – he LOVES that time of night outside!

Wayne – kicking back.

Oh wait – had to adjust the ball cap – sorry!

NOW he looks cool!

Finn don’t need no stinkin’ ball cap to look cool….

Pretty darned nice way to end the day, I have to say! 🙂

Stampin’ Up! Floral Fun Fold Video Sneak Peek

Good morning!  We’re headed out this morning to pick up my picket fence panels and hopefully get them painted and dry (before it rains!) so that they can go up tomorrow.  Fingers crossed!

Speaking of flowers – I’ll be live tonight at 7pm Eastern over on my Stamps-N-Lingers FB page with a cool fun fold (that I’ve done exactly ONCE – so…hopefully I can do it a SECOND time! 😂).  And – it’s a bit of a….flowery…sneak peek of a new and amazingly gorgeous bundle coming in the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog.  Here’s a sneaky peek!

Stampin’ Up! Rooted in Nature Peaceful Moment Sympathy Card

Good morning and HAPPY FRIDAY!!  Do you have something fun planned?  I think our plans revolve around the garden  – I know…shocker! – time to get it all in the ground!  And..I’m HOPING the plan includes putting up my picket fence around the garden!  Send fence-putting-up thoughts to Wayne, will you?!? 😉

So – the card I made today is one that I very carefully made for our friend whose wife died on Sunday – that was the funeral we went to yesterday.  So it’s a masculine one – and one that I really like.  Of course, in our mad rush to get out of the house – we don’t do that very well in the mornings – I left the card sitting smack in the middle of the kitchen table. 🙁  We’ll have to get it to him a different way, I guess.

I used a couple of favorite goodies that are, sadly, retiring soon!  The beautiful Rooted in Nature stamp set and coordinating Nature’s Roots die set.  Then I threw in a couple of sentiments from Peaceful Moments.  I added some In Good Taste DSP  (NOT retiring – phew!!).  Take a look-see:

I decided to pull out a couple more sets that are leaving us soon – like…in less than a month!  The Swirly Frames and Posted for You sets ended up working really well together to make a pretty birthday card.  Take a look-see:
