Stampin’ Up! To A Wild Rose for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all!  It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!!  We’ve got a sketch challenge to work with today and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table!  I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

I pulled out a retiring stamp set called To a Wild Rose and the matching Wild Rose Dies – which are on an AMAZING sale right now (like…75% off!).  And I combined them with some goodies from the retiring Flowers for Every Season Memories & More Card Pack and Note Cards & Envelopes.  Take a look-see:

And here’s our sketch (I might have gotten a little jiggy with it! – just squint your eyes)!

I also played along with the Sunday Stamps color challenge.

I started with a Bumble Bee Flowers for Every Season Memories & More Cards and Envelopes.  So easy – AND on sale for 20% off!

I cut a panel of Cinnamon Cider cardstock and adhered it to the front of my card base with Liquid Glue at an angle.

Next, I took a card from the Flowers For Every Season Memories & More Card Pack, and cut it down a little bit.

I stamped the larger To A WIld Rose sentiment in Just Jade and the smaller portion in Cinnamon Cider.  I cheated it to the right of the “label” area to accommodate my planned florals.  Then I popped the panel onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On a piece of Basic White, I stamped the To A Wild Rose flower.  First I started with the more detailed fill image in the stamp set, stamping it in Bumble Bee ink.  Then I used the least detailed fill image in stamped-off-once Bumble Bee.  Finally – I added the detailed outline image (yes – this is a THREE STEP image!!) – in Cinnamon Cider.  Hint:  it’s easiest to line up the images when you stamp them in this order!!

Then I cut it with the die in the Wild Rose Dies.

I stamped the outline leaf image in Just Jade on Basic White, then used the fill image in stamped-off-once Just Jade.  I did that twice and cut them with the leaf die in the Wild Rose set.

Finally – I cut a couple of Just Jade leaves and a Bumble Bee “pod”.

I started by adhering leaves to the card front with Liquid Glue.  Then I used Seal Adhesive to add a length of Bumble Bee 2020-2022 In Color Ribbon in a loose “z”.  I added the final leaf with Liquid Glue.

The flower was popped on with Dimensionals and I added the dimensionals to the card front (versus to the back of the die cut!).

I added the flower, then adhered some 2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dots to the middle of the flower and near the sentiment – and the card was done!

For the inside, I added a second To A WIld Rose sentiment in Just Jade onto a Basic White panel.  I stamped the pretty flower in the corner – and added a few of the Cinnamon Cider 2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dots to the center.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel inside my card base and the card was done!

…and – even though the Flowers for Every Season Memories & More Note Cards & Envelopes has a decorated flap…

…I went ahead and added some Flowers for Every Season DSP to the outside of the flap.

Et Voila!  I’ve been so focused on the Mini catalog that I’ve neglected the pretty sets and papers in the Annual Catalog! 🙁  Flowers For Every Season is one of my favorites – showcasing the wonderful 2020-2022 In Colors!  The associated Memories & More Card Pack and the Note Cards & Envelopes are super easy starting points for all your projects!

And the To a Wild Rose stamp set (on sale for $23.40) is stunning, with its three-step florals and pretty sentiment combinations.  Guys – the matching Wild Rose Dies is on sale at 75% off – that’s just $8.50!  Which means (WARNING:  MATH ahead!) – you could buy the stamp set ($23.40) and the Dies ($8.50) for just $31.90.  That’s WAY less than the $54 BUNDLE price would have been.  Whoo-hoo!!

I hope you like!
