Good morning, y’all! This is coming to you on the last Tuesday that I’ll be in Savannah! In theory. Keep your fingers crossed – cuz I’m going to pack all my stuff this week and I only have cards made thru Sunday. If I end up extended for some unknown reason….well. Let’s just hope it doesn’t come to that, okay?? 🙂
Guess what tomorrow is?! Yep – the 2016-2017 Annual Catalog will be live and you’ll be able to start ordering all those things you’ve been adding to your Wish Lists for the past few weeks! I think that merits a big WHOOO-HOOO!! 🙂
And it’s also the beginning of two awesome deals from Stampin’ Up! for June!
- Host a workshop in June – or have an individual order over $350 – and you’ll get that additional $35 in Stampin’ Rewards to spend on Free goodies! Or – use your Stampin’ Rewards towards your Starter Kit, cuz….
- Join us in June and you’re going to be able to choose an EXTRA two stamp sets for your Starter Kit – in addition to the $125 worth of goodies that you’ll get to choose for $99.
That’s two great promotions in June! I’d love to help you host an online workshop or have you join my team! 🙂
So, today’s card is quick and easy and features a couple of items that you can – finally!! – order very very soon (tomorrow!). I’m talking about Pop of Pink Designer Series Paper, Pop of Pink Designer Washi Tape and the new Thoughtful Banners stamp set. Take a look-see:
It starts with a Whisper White Notecard and Envelope. I cut two panels of Whisper White – one for the card front and one for the inner liner. And two pieces of Basic Black – for the mats.
I’d seen a similar card on Pinterest and I wanted to change it up a little. So, on the card front panel, I ran diagonal strips of each of the 5 tape designs in the Pop Of Pink Designer Washi Tape package. I varied their lengths – in my head I was seeing an old Air Force slogan I used to see on tv….with..you know…butterflies instead of airplanes! 🙂 I just wrapped the ends around to the back of the panel.
I punched a Bitty Butterfly from 5 different paper designs in the Pop of Pink DSP, rolled the wings a tad, and adhered them with Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue. Each one got a little Rhinestone Basic Jewel strip for a body.
The sentiment is from Thoughtful Banners – stamped in Melon Mambo and Basic Black Archival Ink – and fussy cut. I can tell you that the coordinating Duet Banner Punch is for sure on my first big order tomorrow! I mean – I like to fussy cut – but it’s hard to convince you how easy a card is when part of the directions include fussy cutting! Right? And if there’s a punch to do the job…. 😉
I popped the sentiment on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and SNAILd the panel to it’s Basic Black Mat.
On the inside, I wrapped one length of the Pop of Pink Washi across the bottom and stamped a second Thoughtful Banner sentiment in the middle of the panel.
I SNAILd it to its Basic Black mat, and into my Notecard, popped the front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!
The matching envelope got two pieces of Washi across the front…
…and a custom flap – okay, yes…a little more fussy cutting, but it’s fast! 🙂
Et Voila! Quick and ever-so-easy-peasy.
Scroll on down for the card cuts and all the goodies you need to make this for yourself! 🙂

Very cute Mary! Love the little Washi Tape lines with the butterfly in the opposite design. 🙂
Thanks, Amy! 🙂
Inspired! Great execution too.
Thanks! 🙂
Can you tell me about the circle card thinlits? It’s retiring tonight. Is it worth getting or not? Also the squares collection framelits – is it worth it? Since I haven’t used anything like this before, looking for an honest thought. Don’t know how to compare the squares retiring with those offered in new catalogue. Thanks!!!

Hey Terry – if it was me – I’d hold off and get the new Layering Squares and Circles. I have the squares now and I love them! More sizes – scallop and staring edges. Hang on until the new catalog! I’d also recommend the new Big Shot platform (142802 $26) – it’s slightly convex in the middle – to help the dies cut better! 🙂
