Happy Monday! Back to the work week we go! I hope you had a good weekend.
My card today is a simple one – even though it uses a few more products than I normally use. It stars the pretty Layering Leaves stamp set – and the beautiful Delightful Doily Hybrid Embossing Folder. And – there’s a fun little play on words thanks to the Inked & Tiled Punch Pack. Take a look-see:

The layout for this one is from the Freshly Made Sketches challenge this week.
And the color palette is from the Color Throwdown Challenge.
I started by stamping one of the leaf images from the Layering Leaves set in Soft Sea Foam all over a Soft Sea Foam panel – then I matted it on Smoky Slate for the card front.
Next, I cut a large doily from Basic White cardstock using the Delightful Doily Hybrid Embossing Folder and adhered it with Liquid Glue.
I matted a strip of Flirty Flamingo paper from the Brights 6″ x 6″ DSP on Smoky Slate cardstock.
From Smoky Slate, I punched out three “x’s” with one of the two punches in the Inked & Tiled Punch Pack – then I adhered them in a row on the matted DSP strip. I adhered the whole thing to the card front with Liquid Glue.
On a piece of Basic White, I stamped that Layering Leaves image twice in Soft Sea Foam and cut them out with the Bough Punch. I also cut out a smaller flower – with the Bough Punch – from Flirty Flamingo cardstock.
I adhered the leaves and flower to the card front with Liquid Glue.
I stamped the Layering Leaves sentiment in Flirty Flamingo ink on a piece of Basic White cardstock. Then I matted it on Smoky Slate and adhered it with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I added some gray Classic Matte Dots and the card front was done!
On the inside, I stamped the Layering Leaves image in Soft Sea Foam on a Basic White panel.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Smoky Slate mat and into my Flirty Flamingo card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Layering Leaves leaf on the front…
…and a little more of the Flirty Flamingo Brights 6″ x 6″ DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! Layering Leaves is one of my fave stamp sets – it’s the $1M set created by Rachel Tessman – and she did a great job with it – it’s cool that it works with the Bough Punch, too! Delightful Doily makes any color doily you need – making it a really handy tool to have in your tool box. And…did you figure out the play on words? The Inked & Tiled Punch Pack gave me my “X” shapes. XOXO!

I wanted to send a little card, and since I had TWO of these after making the video, I added a sentiment from the Happy Labels stamp set in Flirty Flamingo on the inside of one of the cards!!

Finn Fan Fix 
When I close the dishwasher in the evening – Finn knows that’s the “signal”. From wherever he is he gets up and heads to bed.
Sometimes, though, the door to his room is…more closed than open.
He won’t push it further open so….this is what I see when I come down the hall.

So pretty Mary! Love the colors and the layering is perfect. Ha! Ginny is much more impatient about bedtime. When she feels it’s time to go to bed and no one had put her to bed, she’ll stand at the bottom of the stairs and stare at anyone nearby. If that doesn’t work, she’ll stomp her feet and sigh loudly and it that doesn’t work she’ll finally just put herself to bed…even if it’s only 8:30. 🙂
Yes – his “bedtime” starts right after the final “play” when we come in from feeding in the eveing. A few minutes of tug with Mr. Bear and then… he disappears. He’s pre-sleeping somewhere cool! And – if we don’t get on the stick in time – we find him in the kennel (assuming the gate was open!). Thanks, Amy! 🙂
Card is awesome, word play and all! And I just found out best friends are having first grandkid-tiny-human…and I have no stamp sets related to tiny humans 🙀 hmmmm what to do? 😉
