Stampin’ Up! Seasonal Branches Countryside Birthday with Video Tutorial

Good morning and happy Sunday! Hope your weekend is going well!  We had some sun – we had some rain – we got some humidity for a taste of summer.  And then a little chilly again.  So…you know.  Spring in Georgia! 🤷‍♀️

Speaking of Spring – I think my card today looks like spring-blooming cherry blossoms!  It’s from the Seasonal Branches set – with some geometric help from the Countryside Corners Die set.  Take a look-see:

This one was inspired by the CASE the Designer challenge over at the Global Design Project this week.

I started by cutting the third-from-largest Countryside Corners die from the center of a 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″ piece of cardstock (any color will work!) to make a mask.

Using sticky notes – I secured my Basic White cardstock to my work surface and then adhered the mask in place right over the top.

Using Blending Brushes – the smalls work well, here – I sponged the top with Boho Blue, the bottom with Granny Apple Green and the middle with Daffodil Delight.  Pretty!

I picked up the mask and matted the panel on a piece of Sweet Sorbet cardstock for the card front.

Then I stamped the larger tree branch from Seasonal Branches twice in Pecan Pie ink – letting the end of the branch extend past the sponged shape.

I added the berries image in Sweet Sorbet ink.

Then I used the bullet end of the Pecan Pie Stampin’ Write Marker to add faux stitches around the edge of the sponged shape.

On a piece of Sweet Sorbet cardstock, I stamped the Seasonal Branches sentiment in Versamark Ink and then sprinkled it with white Embossing Powder.  I heated it with the Heat Tool to set the powder.

When it was cool – I cut it out with the smallest Countryside Corners die.  I popped the sentiment on with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Using the Seasonal Branches dies, I cut out five little Basic White flowers and adhered them with Liquid Glue.

I colored five white Classic Matte Dots with my Dark Sweet Sorbet Stampin’ Blend and added one to the center of each flower.  Then I added some Brushed Brass Butterflies – and a simple bow tied with two lengths of white Baker’s Twine – and the card was done!

On the inside, I stamped the branch in Pecan Pie and the berries in Sweet Sorbet on a Basic White panel.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Sweet Sorbet mat and into the Thick Basic White card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Seasonal Branches branch and berries on the front…

Finn Fan Fix

On Friday – we had the vet out to give Cady her rabies shot and a routine check up.  The young vet that came out was new to us – so she’d never been here or met the girls.  When Wayne pulled Cady out of the pasture – she said…”oh!  You didn’t tell me you had the cutest pony in the world!”  I mean – she’s right, of course!

Good thing I’d left Finn in the house – or she’d have seen that we ALSO have the cutest DOG in the world.  Which might have made her think we’re greedy or something! 😉
