Good morning and happy Sunday! I hope your day of celebrating was fun and safe! We pretty much hung around the house – and then held dog paws when the booms started! And watched the America 250 celebration in DC! There was a long weather delay and they evacuated everyone to trailers. We got to see some amazing veterans – several over 100 years old – going strong and proud. It was very cool!
Today’s card is a Christmas card using the gorgeous new Pretty Poinsettia bundle and Shimmering Stripes Specialty Paper – both new in the July 2026 Online Exclusives that went live last week! Take a look-see:
The layout for this one was inspired by this week’s Sunday Stamps sketch!
I started by adhering a piece of sparkly Shimmering Stripes Specialty Paper to a Crisp Cantaloupe mat for the card front.
Using the four petal dies in the new Pretty Poinsettia set, I cut one of each from Barely Blush 2026-2028 In Color Pearlized Paper. I used the large leaf die to cut out two from Peaceful Pine 2026-2028 In Color Pearlized Paper and four flower centers from Golden Glow 2026-2028 In Color Pearlized Paper!
Using a Small Blending Brush, I added Crisp Cantaloupe ink to the centers of the four petal die cuts.
I assembled the flowers using Liquid Glue – adding a large and small flower center to the middles.
I snipped the leaves down (just didn’t need them to be so long!) and adhered them to the backs of my flowers.
I stamped a Pretty Poinsettia sentiment in Crisp Cantaloupe in the bottom corner of a 2 3/4″ x 4″ piece of Basic White cardstock. Using the Dark Barely Blush Stampin’ Blend, I colored the open font letters on the sentiment.
I put my flower/leaves in place and used them as guides to stamp the little pine bough image several times in Peaceful Pine ink.
I adhered the panel to a Crisp Cantaloupe mat and then to the card front with Liquid Glue.
Then I added the flower/leaf elements with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I added three white Adhesive-backed Blooms – and the card front was done!
On the inside, I stamped a second Pretty Poinsettia sentiment in Crisp Cantaloupe on a Basic White panel. Next to it (and sort of on top), I stamped the Pretty Poinsettia flower in Barely Blush ink. I made a sticky note mask (stamped the flower on the sticky note and fussy cut it), which I placed over the flower. Then I stamped the pine bough several times in stamped-off-once Peaceful Pine. When I removed the mask, I stamped the little flower center in stamped-off-once Golden Glow ink.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of my Thick Basic White card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the flower and boughs on the front…
..and more of the boughs (in full strength Peaceful Pine) on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! Oh my goodness – I am totally in love with this bundle! I LOVE that the Pretty Poinsettia dies cut SOLID petals and leaves – with gorgeous embossing! It makes it so easy to make beautiful florals! And the stamped images and sentiments are wonderful – how cool are those fonts!? Shimmering Stripes Specialty Paper will had quiet bling to your projects – it is SOOO pretty!
