Stampin’ Up! Carols of Merry Little Christmas Labels

‘Sup, y’all?!?  Don’t want to scare you, but…there are only 23 days until Christmas.

Serious.

Twenty.  Three.  Days.

Yikes!

Last week, in the spirit of Christmas, I made a few gift tags for y’all to make for yourself.  This was one of them….

I may or may not have mentioned that I was thinking on a card to follow along in this same vein.

So…I used the Carols of Christmas bundle (with the Card Front Builder Thinlits) and the Merry Little Labels stamp set.  Not for nothing – these are retiring sets – so…if you love them, get them now.  They’ll only be around until they’re gone.  Anywho – take a look-see:

I started with more of the Old Olive and Basic Black plaid paper from the going-away-soon Merry Little Christmas DSP and matted it on Basic Black.

To make the large label – I used the largest die in the Lots of Labels Framelits.  I wanted the label to be longer than the die would allow on its own, so I ran the Crumb Cake card stock about halfway thru the Big Shot – so that I only cut one end of the label.  Then I turned it around and finished the label by running the other end thru.

I added some faux stitches with my Old Olive Stampin’ Write Marker and punched a hole in the top with my 1/8″ Handheld Circle Punch.

I inked up the Merry Little Labels sentiment with Versamark and then covered all but the words and stamped it on the top of the label.  Then I sprinkled it with White Stampin Emboss Powder and heated it with my Heat Tool.

I also heat embossed the stars and deer image from the Carols of Christmas stamp set in White.  With the stars and moon die in the Card Front Builder Thinlits, I cut out some stars and sparkles and adhered them to the top with little dabs of Liquid Glue.

Thank I ran a length of Jute Twine thru the hole at the top of the label and secured it with a couple of Glue Dots.  Then I popped the label onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I cut several of the pretty trees with the dies in the Card Front Builder Thinlits (boy, I will miss these beautiful trees!!) in Whisper White and used Liquid Glue to adhere two of them directly to the label.  The two single trees are adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals (the tree on the left) and Liquid Glue/Dimensionals.

I used my thankfully-not-retiring favorite Pretty Pines Thinlits to cut some pine boughs from the Merry Little Christmas DSP and adhered them at the top with Liquid Glue.

To finish off the card front, I tied a bow from Jute Twine and attached it at the top with another Glue Dot.

On the inside, I used a Crumb Cake panel for the inner liner and added faux stitches with my Old Olive Stampin’ Write Marker.  Then I heat embossed – in White – more of the stars and the deer from the Carols of Christmas stamp set.

I Fast Fuse’d the panel to a Basic Black mat and into my Crumb Cake card base.  Then I added another Whisper White Card Front Builder Thinlits tree with Liquid Glue, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got a couple of the trees cut from the plaid Merry Little Christmas DSP on the front…

…and more of the plaid on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Merry Little Labels and the Carols of Christmas bundle are going away, y’all!  Like I said at the top – if you love them…get them soon, before they’re gone for good!  Hope you like!

CHANGE IN STAMPARATUS RESERVATION WINDOWS!!

YOU NEED TO READ THIS MESSAGE FROM STAMPIN’ UP!

The results are in! The first Stamparatus reservation window reached its maximum number of reservations in just 15 minutes, which provided us with some very important information: You LOVE this new stamping tool! We couldn’t be more thrilled; in fact, your response was so amazing that we’ve decided to make some important adjustments to the reservation process.
As was previously announced, the second reservation window will remain open from December 5–30; however, during this reservation period we will take as many orders as we receive (yay!) and not close the window until December 30. So whether the total number of reservations is 100 or 100,000, the window will stay open!
Please note the following changes:
  • Beginning March 19, we will ship Stamparatuses in the order the reservations were received (first in, first out) and continue through the next few months and beyond as product arrives in our warehouse. Because shipment dates are based on manufacturing lead times, not all of the reservations made during the December 5–30 window will ship on March 19 (as was previously announced).
  • In order to accommodate demand, limits have changed as follows:
    • One reservation per customer and one per demonstrator.
    • Because we are not limiting the maximum number of reservations for the second window, we will not offer a third window. This is the last chance for you and your customers to reserve a Stamparatus before it becomes available in the 2018-2019 annual catalog.

Please note what has not changed:

  • If you reserved more than one stamping tool during the first reservation period, that number will not change; you will still receive the same number you reserved. If you reserved one or more stamping tool(s) during the first reservation period, you may still order during the second window.
  • The reservation window will open at 2:00 PM (MT) on December 5.

We can’t wait for you to get your hands on your very own Stamparatus and look forward to seeing the projects you’ll make with this incredible stamping tool.

I’ve got all the information over on my Promotions page – including a super little video with lots of information on this wonderful new stamp placement tool.  Be sure to check it out – peruse the how-to-reserve-your-Stamparatus tutorial you’ll find there, and then mark your calendar for the next reservation window on 5 Dec!!

Finn Fan Fix

So – y’all remember that Sunday is “card making day” for Finn.

Or – card making watching!

Based on the clues wafting to my nostrils whenever I hug the little Man – which is a lot – I think we might need to make a trip to the Puppy Tubs today.

I asked him his thoughts on the matter.

He didn’t need any words.

Anyone doubt his opinion??

Stampin’ Up! Three Merry Little Labels Gift Tags for the Stamp Ink Paper Challenge #127

Hey, y’all!  Welcome to Tuesday and another fun challenge from Stamp Ink Paper!

Our Stamp Ink Paper Challenge #127 this week is a theme challenge – All Wrapped Up!

I decided it would be fun to make three identical – and yet…not! – gift tags using the Merry Little Labels and the bundled Everyday Label punch.  Take a look-see:

There’s a style for any kind of Christmas.  Woodsy, Traditional, and Glam!  And they’re all made exactly the same way.  Let’s go!

We’ll start with my favorite – the Woodsy tag.  Did you doubt that would be my fave?

I used the Lots of Labels Framelits to cut the large “tag” from a piece of Crumb Cake card stock.  With my Old Olive Stampin’ Write Marker, I added some “stitches” around the edge.  With a smaller die in the same framelits, I cut a piece of Merry Little Christmas DSP and adhered it with Liquid Glue.  I punched a hole in the top of the tag with my 1/8″ Handheld Circle Punch.

The sentiment – from Merry Little Labels – is heat embossed in White Stampin’ Emboss Powder on Crumb Cake and then cut with the Everyday Label Punch.  Before popping it on the front of the tag with Stampin’ Dimensionals, I added a little something to the back of the tag.

That sentiment – also from Merry Little Labels – is heat embossed in White.  Then I used my Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler Dark Stampin’ Blends to lightly add a little color to the holly.

For the embellishment on the front, I cut a couple of short boughs with the Pretty Pines Thinlits, from the same Old Olive/Black plaid Merry Little Christmas DSP that I’d used on the front and adhered them with Liquid Glue.  I looped some Jute Twine thru the hole I’d punched at the top and tied it in a simple knot.  Then I tied a bow and added it with a Glue Dot!  Done!

The other two tags were made the same way – just using slightly different ingredients!

For the traditional tag:

  • Tag base – Real Red card stock with Basic Black “stitches”
  • Middle layer – Old Olive design from Merry Little Christmas DSP.
  • Sentiment – White Stampin’ Emboss Powder on Real Red
  • Ribbon – Old Olive 1/8″ Sheer Ribbon
  • Embellishment – a tiny white bow from the Season of Glitz Mini Gift Bows

And finally, the glam tag!

  • Tag Base – Whisper White card stock with Basic Black “stitches”
  • Middle Layer – Black and White design from Merry Little Christmas DSP
  • Sentiment – Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder on Whisper White
  • Ribbon – Silver Mini Tinsel Trim
  • Embellishment – two “berries” from the Pretty Pines Thinlits cut from Silver Foil

So – whether you’re a woodsy/homespun Christmas person, more traditional green and red or someone who loves the glitter and shine…Merry Little Labels and the Everyday Punch are your ticket to quick and gorgeous gift tags!  Hope you like!

Finn Fan Fix

This morning, we had some errands to run so, after our morning ablutions, we put the Man in his kennel.

To be clear, I mean Finn! 🙂

Upon our return, he did his usual meet-and-greet, got a quick drink and headed out to the golf cart.

It’s what he does!

Later, though, he decided he’d come and see what we were up to.

And take a nap.

It’s what he does!

Would that we were all that cute when we slept! 🙂

Stampin’ Up! Cheery Merry Little Labels for the Stamp Ink Paper #124

So – good mornin’, y’all!  It’s Tuesday – almost the last Tuesday I’ll be in Utah.  I’ll actually admit that I’ll miss it here a little – the scenery is ridiculously gorgeous – especially when there’s some weather around!  I’m betting in the middle of July it might not be so appealing to me…

I had a happy little surprise the other day – the nice folks at Stamp Ink Paper asked me to stay on as a permanent member of their Design Team!  Sending them a big Thank You!

Our Challenge #124 this week is a theme – Girl’s Night Out!

Since I don’t have a hang-around-the-house-watching-a-movie-and-making-s’mores-and-falling-asleep-at-8 stamp set, I had to channel some more adventurous friends!  So, I used the Merry Little Labels stamp set and some fun paper from the Year of Cheer Specialty DSP.  Take a look-see:

See?  It’s “girl’s” cuz of the pink.

Don’t judge – it was all I could come up with.

I’m a pretty boring person, y’all.  Sorry to have to break it to you!! 🙂

I started by Fast Fusing the Year of Cheer Specialty DSP to a Powder Pink mat for the card front.

Next, I used Glue Dots to adhere a length of Powder Pink 3/8″ Shimmer Ribbon to the card front in an oh-so-artsy manner.  Over that, with some Liquid Glue, I adhered a silver Foil Snowflake.

I inked up the Merry Little Labels sentiment in Versamark and stamped it on a piece of Powder Pink card stock.  Then I sprinkled it with Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heated it with my Heat Tool.  I cut it out with a Stitched Shapes Framelits circle die and popped it over the snowflake with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added a single Black Rhinestone Jewel and that was it for the card front.

On the inside, I matted a Whisper White panel on a Powder Pink mat and added a thin strip of the Year of Cheer Specialty DSP, also matted on Powder Pink, across the bottom.  I wrapped a length of the Powder Pink 3/8″ Shimmer Ribbon around, securing it in the back with scotch tape.  Then I made a little “faux bow” with another short length of the ribbon.

.I Fast Fuse’d the panel to a Powder Pink mat and into my Basic Black card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got a couple of strips of Washi Tape across the front – two silver strips from the Year of Cheer Specialty Washi Tape and one black-and-white strip from the Pick A Pattern Washi.  I colored the little tiny white lines with my Powder Pink Stampin’ Write Marker…

..and I added more of the Year of Cheer Specialty DSP to the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I’m not a big drinker, but I’m certainly a big eater!!  And if staying in with the girls and watching a movie isn’t on the agenda – then going out for a good meal surely would be!  I think the Merry Little Labels captured it pretty well – and the Year of Cheer Specialty DSP certainly looks like a good time is being had.  Hope you like!
