Stampin’ Up! Three Merry Little Labels Gift Tags for the Stamp Ink Paper Challenge #127

Hey, y’all!  Welcome to Tuesday and another fun challenge from Stamp Ink Paper!

Our Stamp Ink Paper Challenge #127 this week is a theme challenge – All Wrapped Up!

I decided it would be fun to make three identical – and yet…not! – gift tags using the Merry Little Labels and the bundled Everyday Label punch.  Take a look-see:

There’s a style for any kind of Christmas.  Woodsy, Traditional, and Glam!  And they’re all made exactly the same way.  Let’s go!

We’ll start with my favorite – the Woodsy tag.  Did you doubt that would be my fave?

I used the Lots of Labels Framelits to cut the large “tag” from a piece of Crumb Cake card stock.  With my Old Olive Stampin’ Write Marker, I added some “stitches” around the edge.  With a smaller die in the same framelits, I cut a piece of Merry Little Christmas DSP and adhered it with Liquid Glue.  I punched a hole in the top of the tag with my 1/8″ Handheld Circle Punch.

The sentiment – from Merry Little Labels – is heat embossed in White Stampin’ Emboss Powder on Crumb Cake and then cut with the Everyday Label Punch.  Before popping it on the front of the tag with Stampin’ Dimensionals, I added a little something to the back of the tag.

That sentiment – also from Merry Little Labels – is heat embossed in White.  Then I used my Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler Dark Stampin’ Blends to lightly add a little color to the holly.

For the embellishment on the front, I cut a couple of short boughs with the Pretty Pines Thinlits, from the same Old Olive/Black plaid Merry Little Christmas DSP that I’d used on the front and adhered them with Liquid Glue.  I looped some Jute Twine thru the hole I’d punched at the top and tied it in a simple knot.  Then I tied a bow and added it with a Glue Dot!  Done!

The other two tags were made the same way – just using slightly different ingredients!

For the traditional tag:

  • Tag base – Real Red card stock with Basic Black “stitches”
  • Middle layer – Old Olive design from Merry Little Christmas DSP.
  • Sentiment – White Stampin’ Emboss Powder on Real Red
  • Ribbon – Old Olive 1/8″ Sheer Ribbon
  • Embellishment – a tiny white bow from the Season of Glitz Mini Gift Bows

And finally, the glam tag!

  • Tag Base – Whisper White card stock with Basic Black “stitches”
  • Middle Layer – Black and White design from Merry Little Christmas DSP
  • Sentiment – Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder on Whisper White
  • Ribbon – Silver Mini Tinsel Trim
  • Embellishment – two “berries” from the Pretty Pines Thinlits cut from Silver Foil

So – whether you’re a woodsy/homespun Christmas person, more traditional green and red or someone who loves the glitter and shine…Merry Little Labels and the Everyday Punch are your ticket to quick and gorgeous gift tags!  Hope you like!

Finn Fan Fix

This morning, we had some errands to run so, after our morning ablutions, we put the Man in his kennel.

To be clear, I mean Finn! 🙂

Upon our return, he did his usual meet-and-greet, got a quick drink and headed out to the golf cart.

It’s what he does!

Later, though, he decided he’d come and see what we were up to.

And take a nap.

It’s what he does!

Would that we were all that cute when we slept! 🙂

Stampin’ Up! Bunches of Bundles SALE and Merry Little Labels Gift Box

Happy Saturday, y’all!  I hope this finds you well.  If you’re awaiting Irma – I hope this finds you safe.  Interestingly, it appears she’s headed for Atlanta.  Likely will be down to tropical storm level when she arrives, but…I suspect we’re in for a day or two of a mess.  Nothing like folks in FL, though! 🙁

I’ve got a really cool offering of some special Holiday bundles that I’ve put together.  Think of them as …Curated Collections!  Like I’m your….Personal Buyer!  Yea!  That’s it!!  Those follow a quick look at…

I made this pretty little Christmas gift box with a Mini Pizza Box and a few goodies from the Merry Little Labels group of products.  I also pulled in the Winter Wonder TIEF – and embossed the top of the Mini Pizza Box before I put it together.

I used my Fine Tip Glue Pen to lightly trace the embossed image and then sprinkled it with Dazzling Diamonds Stampin’ Glitter.  Once it was good and dry, I assembled the box.

The ribbon is 7/8″ Striped Ribbon – I wrapped a piece around the box and secured the ends with Glue Dots.  Then I adhered all the decorations to that band of ribbon, so that the recipient can just slide it off to get to the gift or goody on the inside!

I used some Glue Dots to wind a couple of loops of Silver Mini Tinsel Trim around.  Over that is a large bow of the 7/8″ Striped Ribbon, a couple of Green Sprigs and a Mini Ornament.

The tag is from the Merry Little Labels stamp set, heat embossed in Silver on Whisper White and then punched with the new Everyday Label Punch.  I added a hole with my 1/8″ Handheld Punch and then tied a piece of Silver Metallic Thread thru the hole and tied it to the bow.  Done! 🙂

So…let’s talk bundles!

Finn-Fan Fix

Finn helped the housekeeper today.  She comes once a week (oh, what a wonderful indulgence!) and he loooooooooves her.

It doesn’t hurt that she carries a bag of doggie treats in her tote.

He keeps a close eye on her as she goes about her business.  You know.  Just in case….a treat were to fall out….

But that kind of intensity is exhausting.

Even an Aussie has to shut down and re-charge every once in a while.

You’re on your own for a minute, Sonya….

Stampin’ Up! Labels and Pumpkins to Love

Well – we made it to Friday!  And – it’s the Friday before a 3-day weekend!

And – it’s THE Friday!!  The one where the new 2017 Holiday Catalog is Live, Baby, Live!!

If I did my job right, I’ve been up for a bit by the time you read this – and will have ordered all the Painted Harvest Bundles and got them headed out!  And – ordered a bunch of ribbon and paper and embellishments for the Holiday Catalog shares!!  Whoo-hooo! 🙂

One of the goodies in those shares is in the card I have to share with you today!  I pulled some Spooky Night DSP and added a little Labels to Love and a few pumpkins from the Patterned Pumpkins Thinlit dies.  I even threw in a couple of goodies from Spooky Cat.  Take a look-see:

Labels and Pumpkins to Love - Stamps-N-Lingers 4

The layout for this one is from the Sunday Stamps sketch challenge.

Screen Shot 2017-08-31 at 17.57.35

I started with two rectangular panels of Spooky Night DSP and matted them both on Basic Black card stock.

I cut a Whisper White circle using the largest Stitched Shapes Framelit dies and then ran it thru the Big Shot in my Woodlands TIEF.

Labels and Pumpkins to Love - Stamps-N-Lingers 1

I used some Liquid Glue to adhere the embossed circle to the card front and then added the smaller matted DSP panel over the top.

Next up, I cut the large pumpkin from the Patterned Pumpkins Thinlits in Pumpkin Pie card stock, then I adhered it to a piece of Crushed Curry.  I snipped the excess Crushed Curry.  I also cut the small, star-strewn pumpkin in Whisper White.

Labels and Pumpkins to Love - Stamps-N-Lingers 3

I used a few Glue Dots to wind some Black and Gold Metallic Threads in several large loops and then adhered the pumpkins over top.  I fussy cut a witch’s hat from a piece of Spooky Night DSP and plopped it on the large pumpkin with some Liquid Glue.

The sentiment, from Labels to Love, is stamped in Basic Black and Pumpkin Pie on Whisper White.  I used my Stampin’ Write Markers to color the stamp directly.  Then I punched it out with the new Everyday Label punch.  I punched a second label in Basic Black and adhered it – slightly offset – onto the sentiment label.

Labels and Pumpkins to Love - Stamps-N-Lingers 2

I popped the sentiment over the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

To finish off the card front, I wrapped a length of Basic Black Solid Baker’s Twine twice around the card front, securing it in the back with scotch tape.  Then I added a little double-bow with a Glue Dot and a single Rhinestone Basic Jewel!

For the inside, I ran just the side of a Whisper White panel thru the Woodland TIEF.  Then I fussy cut a few more Spooky Night DSP witches’ hats and adhered them over the embossed trees with Liquid Glue.

Labels and Pumpkins to Love - Stamps-N-Lingers 5

I Fast Fuse’d the panel to a Basic Black mat and into my Crushed Curry card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

On the front of my Very Vanilla Medium Envelope, I stamped a witch’s hat from the Spooky Cat stamp set in Basic Black Tuxedo Ink and colored in the buckle with my Pumpkin Pie Marker…

Labels and Pumpkins to Love - Stamps-N-Lingers 6

…and I added a little more Spooky Night DSP to the envelope flap.

Labels and Pumpkins to Love - Stamps-N-Lingers 7

Et Voila!  I think all the different pieces and parts came together to make a fun and kind of whimsical Halloween card!  Hope you like…and are busily getting your Holiday Catalog orders in!!  Take a look-see at the new Host Promotion – and the Merry Patterns stamp set that you could earn for free!!  Read on!

Finn-Fan Fix

Okay – here’s an ugly truth about dogs.  Who live with indoor cats.

Dog love cat….uhm…tootsie rolls.  Poopa Roca.  Get the drift?

Yes – even Finn.  He’s an awful good boy, but…dog!

Usually we can head him off but…the other day….yea.

So – due to the incredible stinckosity of his breath, and a general urge to throw up a little when he came and panted in our faces – we decided to let him spend a little time outside.  Maybe he’d chew a pinecone.  Or put some pond scum between the cheek and the gum.  Even eat some marinated horse poops.

Anything.  Anything would have been better than what was panting out of his cute little mouth.

IMG_9639

Mom?  I swished my mouth out real good with pond water, mom….

Pitiful, isn’t he?
