Stampin’ Up! Radiant Light Merriest Trees Sneak Peek Card

Hello hello!  Its T-3 days until I’m leavin’ on a jet-plane – to (hopefully) – not-underwater-Las-Vegas!! I don’t tell you that cuz YOU particularly need to keep track of that – I tell you that so that I’LL remember that it’s coming SOON.  I’m about a day behind – Sonya didn’t come on Friday and that tends to skew my days up!  🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

My card today is one that I sort of fell in love with when I got it done – it uses a stamp set from the new Sep – Dec 2023 Mini that you might have overlooked.  No Big Suite.  Not a bundle.  No dies.  Just a sweet and beautiful set. It’s called Radiant Light – and…well, take a look-see:

The simple layout is from the Freshly Made Sketches challenge this week.

And the color palette is from the Color Throwdown challenge.

I started by adhering a piece of Pecan Pie Glorious Gingham DSP to a Calypso Coral mat for the card front.

Then, on a square of Pecan Pie cardstock – I stamped the gingham bow (look close – it’s plaid ribbon!) from the Radiant Light set – all over the panel in Pecan Pie ink.  Then I matted it on Calypso Coral and adhered it to the card front – all with Liquid Glue.

I stamped the Radiant Light image on a piece of Basic White cardstock in Smoky Slate ink.  Using Watercolor Pencils from the Watercolor Pencils Assortment 1 – I colored the image.  I used the Old Olive, Calypso Coral, Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight pencils.

I cut out the art work using the tag die in the Merriest Trees die set (I TOLD you you’d see this set again – and I TOLD you how handy it is!!) and I ALSO cut out a Calypso Coral tag.

I used a Glue Dot to adhere the two tags together (that made it easier to keep the angles like I wanted them).

I ran a short piece of Pecan Pie 1/2″ Bordered Ribbon thru the hole in both tags.  Then I used a piece of new Calypso Coral 3/16″ Braided Trim (this pretty ribbon is coming soon in the new Mini Catal0g!) to tie a bow around the ribbon.

I adhere the completed tags to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I stamped the Radiant Lights sentiment in Mossy Meadow on a strip of Basic White and edged the strip with my Calypso Coral Stampin’ Write Marker.

I popped the sentiment onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals, added some Neutrals Adhesive-backed Sequins and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped the Radiant Light bow in Pecan Pie ink on a panel of Basic White cardstock. I colored the center of the bow with the Calypso Coral Watercolor Pencil.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Calypso Coral mat and into my Mossy Meadow card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Radiant Light bow on the front…

…and more Glorious Gingham DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Not really a traditional color palette for the holidays but…I toallty love it!  And the Radiant Light set – candle centerpieces are so elegant and this one is particularly pretty!  The added bonus of the fun bow and sweet sentiments is just icing on the cake!  Or…wax on the candle! 🤷‍♀️. And Merriest Trees.  Yup.  You’re going to NEED the whole bundle – I promise it’s going to be a go-to for the entire season and beyond!

  1. Love your card! The tag die is perfect with the candle image, love the colors too! Yes Finn does look like he’s supervising every step…I’m sure that there was a lot of wagging and “hurry uping” too! 🙂

Yep – the hurry upping was pretty rampant! Thanks, Amy! 🙂
