Hello and happy half-way-thru-the-weekend! I’m getting myself prepped and psyched to be gone at the end of the week – it’s amazing how fast you get out of practice. Used to be that on Wed night I’d be like…huh, guess I should throw some stuff in a suitcase, huh? These days – I actually have to THINK about it! 😳😳🤷♀️.
My card today just makes me happy – it’s Merry. It’s Bold. It’s Bright! That’s thanks in no small part to the aptly named Merry, Bold & Bright DSP! And some Christmas Tidings embossing and a trio of Merriest Trees are perfect toppers for this sneak peek Christmas card. Take a look-see:
The layout for this one is from the MFT Weekly Sketch challenge!
I started by adhering some Merry, Bold & Bright DSP (available 6 Sept) on a piece of Poppy Parade cardstock for the card front. Don’t you love Poppy Parade for Christmas!? I sure do!
Next up – I cut out a rectangle of Basic White cardstock using the second-from-largest Deckled Rectangles Die and I embossed it in the new Christmas Tidings Embossing Folder (also coming in the new catalog on 6 Sept).
I popped the embossed panel onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the big tree from Merriest Trees three times – one each in Lemon Lime Twist, Shaded Spruce and Granny Apple Green! Using a medium tree die – there are SEVERAL, so you can make your trees as tall or short as you like and you can even layer them up! – I cut out each of the trees. You can see that my trees each have three sections. 🙂
Using Liquid Glue – I adhered the trees to the card front.
I cut out some stars – three solid and three outline – using the Merriest Trees dies – from Gold Foil and used Liquid Glue to adhere the outlines to the solid stars. Then I adhered them to the top of the trees with more Liquid Glue.
I cut a bunch of garland from Poppy Parade cardstock and used Liquid Glue to adhere them to the trees. I snipped them down to size as I needed them!
On a strip of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the sentiment from Merriest Trees in Poppy Parade ink. I snipped a banner end and adhered it with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Finally, I added a Blueberry Bushel gem from the Tinsel Gems 4-pack to each star and the card front was done!
On the inside, I stamped the tree in Granny Apple Green on a Basic White panel. Then I stamped the little Merriest Trees bow in Poppy Parade ink!
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Poppy Parade mat and into my Lemon Lime Twist card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Merriest Trees tree and bows on the front…
…and more of the wunnermus Merry, Bold & Bright DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! I hope this one makes you smile like it did for me! I didn’t think I’d love the Merry, Bold & Bright DSP (it’s quite Bold and Bright, after all!) as much as I do – but I was wrong. It’s so fun and pretty and smile-making! And the Merriest Trees bundle – I’ve already used it for TWO more projects that you’re going to see in the next couple of days – which means it’s super cool and SUPER versatile. I predict you’ll reach for it again and again!
I hope you like!

Finn Fan Fix
Finny has a new doctor – who ALSO happens to be an old friend!
Being at the end of our Well Pet term, it seemed like a good time to make a switch I’d been thinking of for a minute!
So…our new vet!
As happens at ALL places he goes – he’s a STAR! And a huge hit. He smiled and smiled – they even went to the back and told all the techs to come up and see him smile! 🙂
And – then – the BIG SURPRISE!
Chris? 😳😳😳
Finn was a bit taken aback by the fact that Chris smelled like DOCTOR Chris – but…since he LIKES doctors anyway and loves Chris…it was all good in his book!
You’ll be happy to know he got a clean bill of health – AND he’s down to a TRIM 73 pounds! Whoo-hooo for the Pumpkin Diet!
But – being a star is EXHAUSTING work.
He had to flake out all the way home!
A celebrity has to rest when he can, right??!
