Stampin’ Up! Snailed It Fun Fold Card with Video Tutorial

Good morning! And happy Sunday! As expected we spent yesterday getting a final – HUGE – load of mulch and then we got the rest of the soil into the new beds. I also – not so expectedly – kicked my own buttinski doing it. Turns out that treadmill-fit is not the same as rake-heavy-dirt fit. Who knew?? 😉

Stampin’ Up Snailed It Happy Mail

Happy President’s Day, y’all! Hope you’ve got the day off and have something enjoyable planned! Like – maybe you’ll decide to make a card to send to a friend. Well – tomorrow. No mail today! 🙂

You might want to send a little happy mail and the card I’ve got for you today would be a great one to make! It uses the sweet Snailed It bundle with the Snail Dies and the Snail Mail DSP! Take a look-see:

The layout for this one was inspired by the Freshly Made Sketches challenge this week.

And the envelopes elements are from this week’s CASology Cue Card.

I started with a Real Red panel that I embossed in the Dainty Diamonds 3D Embossing Folder and then adhered to the front of my Real Red card base with Liquid Glue.

Next, I matted to pieces of Snail Mail DSP to Bermuda Bay panels and adhered them at jaunty angles with Liquid Glue.

Using the envelope die in the Snail Dies set, I cut two Basic White and one Bermuda Bay pieces. I folded up the white envelopes, “sealing” them with a Glue Dot. With the Bermuda Bay piece, I left the top flap up.

On a piece of Basic White, I stamped the Snailed It sentiment in Bermuda Bay and cut it with the little stitched rectangle in the Snail Dies.

I slid the little “note” into the Bermuda Bay envelope and stuck it in place with a little Liquid Glue. Then I adhered the two white envelopes to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I used the little heart dies in the Snail Dies to cut Real Red hearts – and adhered one to each of the envelopes with Liquid Glue.

I used some Stampin’ Dimensionals to stick the Bermuda Bay envelope over top of the white ones.

I added a few red Resin Hearts to the card front and it was done

On the inside, I added a word bubble from Snailed It in Bermuda Bay to a Basic White panel. I adhered a Real Red die cut heart to the inside.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Bermuda Bay mat and into my Real Red card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got another image from Snailed It on the front. I used my Stamparatus and inked the image with my Bermuda Bay and Real Red Stampin’ Write Markers.

…and a little more of the Snail Mail DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila! I love the Snailed It stamp set and the fun little envelope die in the bundled Snail Dies is way too cute!! It all comes together with the Snail Mail DSP to create all manner of adorable cards!

Stampin’ Up! Snailed It Pop Up Fun Fold with Video Tutorial

Good morning and happy Friday! Hoping that your week went well – and that you’re ready for a weekend.

I’ve got a fun fun-fold for you today and, if you were able to join me for my YouTube live yesterday, I appreciate you spending part of your day with me! If not, here’s the replay!

Note – my internet did me wrong yesterday (thank you, XFinity) and this ended up being a two-parter. So – when you hit the end of Part 1 – here’s the link to Part 2! 🙂

I am loving the Snailed It Suite – with the bundled Snail Dies and fun Snail Mail DSP – WAAAAY more than I thought I would when I first saw it in the catalog – it’s just so stinkin’ cute! And I love a good fun-fold, so…I saw Lisa Curcio’s pop-up card and used her mechanism to create my own using this fun suite. Take a look-see:

The layout for the front of this card was inspired by this week’s Sunday Stamps challenge.

I started by adhering a piece of Snail Mail DSP to a Bermuda Bay mat for the card front. Then I used the largest rectangle in the Stitched So Sweetly dies to cut a second design, which I adhered to the card front with Liquid Glue.

On a piece of Basic White, using my Stamparatus, I stamped the cool mushroom (or…are they toadstools?!?) image from Snailed It in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. Then I cut it with the die from the bundled Snail Die set.

I colored the image with my Light Bermuda Bay and Real Red Stampin’ Write Markers, and both of the Daffodil Delight Markers. Then I popped it onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

For the sentiment, I stamped the word bubble image from Snailed It in Real Red on Basic White – then added the sentiment in Bermuda Bay. I cut it with the matching die in the Snail Dies and popped it onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On the inside, I used Tear-and-Tape Adhesive to create the 3/4″ x 3/4″ box mechanism that makes the Pop-up part of the pop-up card work! It started with a 3 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ piece of Real Red, scored at 3/4″, 1 1/2″, 2 1/4″ and 3″ along the shorter side. Then it’s adhered into the box with the Tear-and-Tape.

I also used Tear-and-Tape to secure it inside the card (this is all in Part 1 of the video!). Then I used Liquid Glue to adhere a strip of the Snail Mail DSP to the front of the box.

I adhered a Bermuda Bay-matted piece of Snail Mail DSP to the top of the card inside, then added a fussy cut snail from the DSP.

I used a die in the Snail Dies to cut the little pink snail – and fussy cut some shrooms – then adhered them all to the front of the box-mechanism. I created – if you will – a snail-o-rama…. 😉

I repeated the mushroom image from the front of the card on a Basic White panel, matted it on Bermuda Bay and then into the card. The card front is also adhered with Liquid Glue. Some white and red Resin Hearts finished it all off!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Snailed It mushrooms on the front…

…and more of the Snail Mail DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila! It’s pretty hard to NOT be loving this Snailed It bundle – with the Snail Dies letting you cut the images straight from the Snail Mail DSP!! And they’re all just so danged cute!

Stampin’ Up! Snailed It Happy Thoughts Slim-Line Card

Good morning and welcome to another work week. I hope it will be a good one for all of you!

My card today is a Slim-Line one and I don’t usually do them. The lack of envelopes is a sticky point for me – but…I saw the sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches this week and I wanted to play along. And it occured to me that….regular business envelopes are slim-line-card-friendly. And – mine are the security-kind so…no one will be able to “peek” at my card! 😉

With that problem solved…I pulled out my Snailed It bundle – yes, FINALLY got it!!, the coordinating Snail Mail DSP and the Happy Thoughts stamp set to make a sort of thank-you-y sort of congratulations-y card. Take a look-see:

And here’s the challenge from Freshly Made Sketches.

I started with a long piece of Snail Mail DSP that I matted on Real Red for the card front. Then I looped some Blushing Bride twine from the Snail Mail Twine Combo twice around the panel – securing it on the card front under the decorations.

I used the square die in the Snail Die Set to cut two pieces of Snail Mail DSP – and adhered them both to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I stamped the Snailed It sentiment in Real Red on a piece of Whisper White (Basic White will work, too), cut it with the next-to-smallest Stitched So Sweetly rectangle die and popped it onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

There are two dies in Snail Die Set that cut adorable snails from a couple of the designs in the Snail Mail DSP – so I cut them out!

Using a combination of Liquid Glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals, I adhered the two sweet snails to the card front.

Then I cut three hearts from Real Red – using the Snail Dies again – and adhered them with Liquid Glue.

I tied two pieces of Blushing Bride Snail Mail Twine in a bow and adhered it with a Glue Dot – and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped a Happy Thoughts sentiment in Real Red on a Whisper White panel. In the corner, in Tuxedo Black, I stamped the cute Snailed It mushroom image. I also stamped that image again on the two DSPs I’d used in the front. Then I fussy cut some mushrooms and adhered them to the stamped image with Liquid Glue (gotta love a little Paper Piecing!). I added a couple three Resin Heart Embellishments, too!

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Real Red mat and into my Thick Whisper White card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My white business envelope got a Real Red image from Snailed It on the front…

…and I added some of the Bermuda Bay Snail Mail DSP to the envelope flap.

Et Voila! Sometimes you just gotta think outside the box, huh? A business envelope – decorated, of course, cuz…#nonekkidenvelopes!…is a perfectly acceptable mailing vessel! Which is good – because this Snailed It-strewn card is too cute to hide at home!

The Snail Mail DSP is so much fun – and how perfectly perfect for piecing the mushrooms on the inside!

Happy Thoughts is the perfect set to have in your tool box – with sentiments that are ready for any occasion!
