Happy Thursday, y’all – and welcome to another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!! Today’s a color challenge (and it’s very Fall-y!). With the arrival yesterday of the 2018 Holiday Catalog, I can’t wait for you to see everyone’s projects today!
When I saw our colors for this week, I right away pulled out the new Country Home stamp set and paired it up with the coordinating Country Lane DSP. Take a look-see:

Uhm…can you guess the colors? 😉

And – since I’ll always take a little extra help…I also pulled some inspiration from this week’s CAS(E) This Sketch challenge.

I started with some wood-grain paper from the Country Lane DSP and embossed it in the new Subtle Dynamic TIEF. Then I cut a second strip of cotton-y paper in Crushed Curry. I matted both pieces on Mint Macaron using Liquid Glue, then used more Liquid Glue to adhere the matted strip to the card front.
I wrapped some new 3/16″ Braided Linen Trim around the diagonal strip, securing it in the back with a couple of Glue Dots.

For the art work, I used Early Espresso to stamp the floral arrangement and the milk can from the Coutnry Home set on a piece of Whisper White. I colored the floral art with my Mint Macaron, Crushed Curry and (yes, I cheated a smidge!) my Cajun Craze Stampin’ Write Marker.
For the milk can, I used a Blender Pen and my Early Espresso Watercolor Pencil – I scribbled some of the Watercolor Pencil on a piece of scrap paper and then used the Blender Pen to pick up the color.

Once I had all the shading that I wanted, I added the sentiment in Early Espresso. Finally, I used a little tiny paint brush to add some Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint to the can.
I matted the panel on Mint Macaron and popped it over the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Once it was on the card front, it looked a little plain to me, so I added some faux stitches with my Early Espresso Stampin’ Write Marker.
I adhered a Galvanized Button next to the panel with a Glue Dot, then added a double-length bow of 3/16″ Braided Linen Trim with another Glue Dot and the card front was done!
On the inside, I added a second sentiment from Country Home in Early Espresso to a Whisper White panel. Across the bottom, I stamped the floral image a few times in Early Espresso and colored them like I’d done on the front. The faux stitches finished it off!

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Mint Macaron mat and into my Crushed Curry card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!
My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more Country Home florals and faux stitches across the front…

…and then I added a little more cotton-y Country Lane DSP to the envelope flap.

Et Voila! How sweet is this Coutnry Home stamp set and the gorgeous Country Lane DSP?! It’s flat-out perfect for all sorts of wonderful, Fall-y, projects! I hope you like!
