Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Bouquet Bunch for the Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Good mornin’, y’all – welcome to another edition of Amy’s Inkin’ Krew team blog hop!  Each month we make projects centered around a theme – and this month we’re doing projects with a Feminine bent!  We can interpret that any way we want – so…be sure to check and see everyone’s projects – we’ve got a bunch of talented ladies hopping with us this month!

I pulled out a wonderful bundle from the 2017-2018 Annual Catalog – the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set and Bouquet Bunch Framelits!  My peeps – this stamp set and framelits is carrying over to the new Annual Catalog – but…it won’t be bundled!  So – if you love it – get it now and save yourself 10%!  Just sayin’…  I layered the bouquet over some Tutti-Frutti DSP.  Take a look-see:

Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Bouquet Anniversary Card!

Happy Monday, y’all!  Hope you had a great weekend!  I really actually did!  Got cards made, signed up a new demonstrator into the Critters-N-Creatin’ Knew (Hi, Lynda!!), did a video last night – and still got a few naps, a little extra sleep, a few movies watched and the grocery shopping done!  Boom! 🙂

So yesterday, I gave you a tease of my card for my Facebook Live video.  Here’s a reminder.

Well, the more I looked at that card – the less I liked it.  So…I started over on Sunday morning.  And I did about 4 different embossed card fronts before I found the one that made me happy.  Still used the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set and matching Bouquet Bunch Framelits.  Take a look-see:

If you joined me last night, you got to see how I made this one.  If not – you can check it out right here on YouTube! Continue reading

Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Bouquet Anniversary Sneak Peek

Good mornin’!  Hope your weekend is going well!  I’ve been pretty darned lazy so far – so this day I need to hit it a little.  But it was really nice to sort of laze around yesterday – watched some movies.  Took a couple of naps.  Did a little grocery shopping!  🙂

As is becoming my habit – I’m going to tease you a little with this post!  Tonight, I’ll be playing with the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set and matching Bouquet Bunch Framelits!  I’ll go live on my Stamps-N-Lingers Facebook page at 8pm Eastern, so I hope you’ll join me.  Here’s a peek at what I’ll be making!

Hmmm – is that a brick wall behind the flowers?  Made with…Embossing Paste?!? Continue reading

Stampin’ Up! Pieces & Patterns for the Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop!

Mornin’, y’all!  Welcome to another edition of the Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop!  This month, our theme is “Use Something from the New Catalog”.  Easy Peasy!!  I’m looking forward to seeing what all our talented ladies come up with – and hope you’ll spend some time exploring the hop when you’re done here!

Today’s card is kind of fun.  Why?  Cuz I’ve used some of our new Embossing Paste and Pattern Party Decorative Masks!  I added a sentiment from the Pieces & Patterns stamp set – and another couple three flowers from the Beautiful Bouquet bundle.  Take a look-see:

My layout is from this week’s challenge over at CAS(E) This Sketch.

And my colors and several design elements were inspired by this photo from The Card Concept.

I made this as a notecard sized card – partly because my original design plan was going to go better with that size.  But when I changed horses in the middle of the stream – I just stuck with it.

I started with a Very Vanilla panel and, using a Pattern Party Decorative Mask, added some Embossing Paste texture to part of the panel.  I’ll do another card with the Embossing Paste – maybe for my video next Sunday – but you should know it’s really easy to work with.  It also dries pretty quickly!

Once it had dried, I matted the panel on a piece of Soft Suede (a nod to the wall paint in the inspiration photo!).  Then I wrapped a piece of new Whisper White 1/8″ Sheer Ribbon around the card front, securing it in the back with scotch tape.

For my sentiment, I inked up the sentiment from the Pieces & Patterns stamp set with Versamark and heat embossed it in Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder on a piece of Very Vanilla card stock.  Then I cut it out with a Stitched Shapes Framelits square die.  I matted it on two scalloped squares that I cut with a die from the Squares Layering Framelits.  One is in Very Vanilla and the other in Berry Burst.  I used Liquid Glue to mat the sentiment onto the Very Vanilla square.

I used a little more Liquid Glue to adhere the Berry Burst square to the card front, then popped the Very Vanilla Square and sentiment on with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

To make the flowers I pulled out the pretty flower from Beautiful Bouquet and stamped it three times in Berry Burst on Very Vanilla.  Then I cut them all out with the matching die from the Bouquet Bunch Framelits.  They’re adhered with Liquid Glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals to the sentiment square.

I finished the front off with a few Silver Sequins that I pulled off a strand of new Mini Sequin Trim, adhering them with tiny eensy dabs of Liquid Glue!

My inside Very Vanilla panel got some graphics – to tie in with the chairs in the photo.  Using the large die from the Eclectic Layers Thinlits, I cut out a Basic Black shape.  I used the shape as a template and then adhered the cut-out pieces in the negative spaces with Liquid Glue.  When I picked up the template, here’s what was left!

I adhered the panel to a Soft Suede mat and into my Basic Black note card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Very Vanilla Note Card Envelope (yep – we now have Very Vanilla Note Cards and Envelopes!!) got another Beautiful Bouquet flower in Berry Burst on the front…

…and then I added some Berry Burst paper in a graphic-y design from the Fresh Florals DSP Stack to the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Loving the new Embossing Paste!!  What a fun way to add texture – and you can even color it with some drops of re-inker!  May try that soon, too.  Hope you like!

Scroll on down for the card cuts and all the products you’ll need to make this one for yourself!

Now that you’ve seen my card, I hope you’ll take a little time to jump thru all the other projects we have to share. Click any name below, or you can use the Previous Blog button to jump to Linda’s page or the Next Blog button to see what Amy’s been up to!

Stampin’ Up! Petal Garden Thank You

Well.  Here we are.  The day before I leave for Florida.

And I’m all packed – all my card making stuff, my clothes, some kitchen stuff, more card making stuff.  Paper, punches, TIEF, Thinlits, Framelits, inks, ribbons.

All ready to go – all I have to do is get my rental car, pack it up and I’ll be off.

LOLOLOLOL!!!

I so hope you didn’t believe any single teeny-tiny part of that!!

I’ve put my sandals on top of my suitcase.  That’s the extent of my packing.

Been a little busy.  Also – don’t really want to go, which puts me into slow-roll mode, for sure!

I have, though, made a couple of cards!  Like this one, that uses the pretty new Petal Garden DSP Stack paper and a little sentiment from the One Big Meaning stamp set.  Take a look-see:

The layout – and to some extent the colors and flowers – are inspired by the Sugar Pea Challenge this week.

I started with a Whisper White panel that I embossed in the new Ruffled Dynamic TIEF.  Then I SNAILd it to a Powder Pink mat.

My two middle panels are from the Petal Garden DSP Stack, and are both matted on Powder Pink.

I SNAILd the bottom panel to the card front and then stamped a sentiment from the One Big Meaning stamp set in Old Olive ink.

I popped the sentiment panel over the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals, and the card front was done!

Yes – done!  That Petal Garden DSP did all the work, didn’t it??  Easy peasy.

On the inside, I used a pretty flower image from the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set and stamped it a few times in Calypso Coral – without re-inking.  Then I added a few Old Olive leaves, also from Beautiful Bouquet – these I stamped off once before I stamped the Whisper White panel.

I SNAILd the panel to a Powder Pink mat and into my Pool Party card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got a repeat of the Calypso Coral flowers and Old Olive leaves from Beautiful Bouquet on the front…

…and then I added more of the Petals Gardens DSP Stack paper to the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  As I said in my video last week, this Petal Garden DSP is “busy” paper.  But – as was pointed out to me – in small doses – it works!!  And – those pretty flowers – already printed and ready to go (just add a sentiment) – are perfect for a quick, easy and gorgeous card! And how well did Beautiful Bouquet work into the theme!?!  Hope you like!

Finn-Fan Fix…

If you ordered catalog shares – the good news is that the Eastern Palace Paper came off the backorder list and it should be here tomorrow.

Thanks to my most-wonderful husband – who tagged in while I was working these past couple of days – the shares should all go out by Saturday.

Finn did what Finn does during the day.  Although he might have contributed a Finn-y hair here and there (no extra charge!).

It’s pretty sweet, really.  His routine is so dovetailed into ours and seems to suit him (and us!) so well.  He likes to sleep almost as much as he likes to play and he does each at pretty regular times of every day.  He’s an awful sweet boy.

He also took a little time to provide moral support to Wayne during a candy bar break.

I mean – I suppose he might have been interested in the candy bar, but….

Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Bouquet Birthday

Happy Hawwmp Day, y’all!  Hope your week is going well.  Mine is going fast.  Way faster than I – even with Wayne’s help – am able to get my list of stuff done.  Before I leave out of here on Saturday.

On a brighter noter – I’m too busy to be thinking about leaving Finn.  And Wayne has plans to go do a roofing job and take him with him – so, he’ll have something to do on that first day.  I, of course, will be driving.  Bleh.

For today, though, let me share a card I made using the wondrous new Beautiful Bouquet Bundle.  This is one that was on my list of “must haves” from the moment I first saw it.  I used it and CASEd a card in the catalog.  I used a few different items and colors, but…it’s definitely a CASE.  Take a look-see:

I played along with two challenges on this one.  The first, a theme challenge, was from The Paper Players.

And this card also fits nicely with the Just Us Girls Word Week Challenge.

One thing that I did with this card, that I don’t do a lot of, was emboss the actual card front.  I used a Crumb Cake card base and then embossed the front panel in the new Layered Leaves Dynamic TIEF.  This was another of the “oh my gosh, I MUST have that NOW” goodies!

I love love love this folder – even the de-bossed side looks good!

For my art/sentiment, I cut a square of Very Vanilla using the largest square Stitched Shapes Framelits die.  Then I stamped the sentiment from the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set in Tranquil Tide ink.  I surrounded the sentiment with the lovely little clusters of flowers image in Peekaboo Peach.

I built my bouquet using the stamped flowers in Marina Mist, Daffodil Delight, Berry Burst and Powder Pink (on Very Vanilla card stock), cutting them with their matching dies in the Bouquet Bunch Framelits.  The stem cluster is cut from a piece of Pear Pizzazz card stock, and the two…leaves?…are in Very Vanilla.

I used Liquid Glue to assemble the bouquet and then stamped a wrapper in Crumb Cake, cut it with its die, and adhered it with Liquid Glue, too.

I wrapped some Linen Thread around the bouquet, securing it in the back with a Glue Dot.

To assemble the card, I first adhered a length of 5/8″ Burlap Ribbon directly to the card front with Liquid Glue.  Then I cut a scalloped square of Tranquil Tide, using my Squares Layering Framelits, to mat my sentiment panel.  I popped the stacked panel over the Ribbon with Stampin’ Dimensionals and then popped my assembled bouquet over that with more Dimensionals.

I added a couple of finishing touches – a double-strand bow of Linen Thread and some flower centers using a Marina Mist heart Enamel Shape and some Glitter Enamel Dots in Dapper Denim and Berry Burst.  And that was it for the card front.

On the inside, I stamped some more of the flower clusters from the Beautiful Bouquet set in Peekaboo Peach on a Very Vanilla panel.

I SNAILd the panel to a Tranquil Tide mat and into my card base, and the card was done!

I used a Very Vanilla Medium Envelope and stamped more of the Beautiful Bouquet flowers across the front…

…and some Powder Pink and Berry Burst flowers on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  There’s so much to love in this Beautiful Bouquet bundle – I think you’re going to see a lot of projects using it.  And the Layered Leaves Dynamic TIEF.  Are you kidding me??  It’s spectacular!!  I hope you like – and are busily planning your next order to include these wondrous new goodies!

Finn-Fan Fix…

Finn got a little tired of being all mature and noble.

So he went swimming.

After he convinced me to throw the bumper!

Which he ran after and picked up, then made a beeline for the pond.

No – he wasn’t bringing it back to me.  Nuh-uh.  He was teasing me!!

He’d get close to the shore and then spin away and go for more swimming!

I fooled him, though.  I got back in the golf cart and drank my coffee.

So there!
