Good morning, y’all! Hope your week is going well!
Today’s card is a CASE of one I saw online from Mary Knabe. This one uses the beautiful Online Exclusive Violet Dreams DSP – it’s really the heavy-lifter on this one – with a little help from the coordinating Framed Violets stamp set. Take a look-see:
This one goes quick so…buckle up, buttercup! 😎
I started by adhering a 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ piece of Violet Dreams DSP to the front of my Barely Blush card base using Liquid Glue.
Next, I tore a 3 1/8″ wide strip of Barely Blush Two-Tone Cardstock down to a length of 4 3/8″. Note: I wanted the dark side up, so I tore TOWARDS the dark side – so that the white inner-core would be visible.
I stamped the Framed Violets sentiment in Secret Sea ink near the bottom of the panel.
Using Liquid Glue, I adhered a 3″ x 3 1/2″ piece of Violet Dreams DSP to the top of the torn strip.
Using Black Stampin’ Dimensionals, I adhered the whole thing to the card front.
Then I added a few Secret Sea gems from the Dewdrops Embellishments and the card front was done!
On the inside, I stamped the Framed Violets image in the corner in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. I colored it with the Light Peaceful Pine and Light Fresh Freesia Stampin’ Blends.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the Barely Blush card base and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Framed Violets image on the front…
…and some more Violet Dreams DSP on the envelope flap!
Et Voila! See? Quick. Easy. Beautiful! The Violet Dreams DSP was the star of this show – but…I’m betting you could use this layout with TONS of different DSPs, don’t you think?! The coordinating Framed Violets stamp set (didn’t even need the die set this time!) turned it into a thank you card – with the addition of a pretty floral on the inside! Perfect!
I hope you like! 🙂

Finn Fan Fix
Got a deer theme going this week, I guess!
I was running errands yesterday and while I was gone – THIS happened right outside our back door.
Not entirely sure what the house guard was doing while this was taking place. Finn probably asleep in the bathroom. And Addy…prolly figured…meh. Deer. Call me if a chipmunk shows up! 🙂

Such a pretty card! Love the layer with the torn edge, perfect! Chipmunks are much more ferocious than deer…so I can understand that the little one didn’t care about them. 😉
It’s true. Deer are big and not nearly as stealthy or cunning as those dastardly chippers! It’s totally reasonable that Addy would keep her powder dry and wait for a REAL Threatcon 1! Thanks, Amy – I’m glad you liked the card! 🙂
