Stampin’ UP! Framed Festive Words & Decorative Trees Christmas Card

Good morning and happy Monday!  I hope you had a good weekend – we didn’t do too awfully much.  It rained for most of it – but…it’s also cooler so…I’ll take it! AND – I DID harvest our FIRST two tomatoes of the season.  I mean – the first non-cherry-type tomatoes!  FINALLY! 🙂

I’ve got a fun card for you today – one that you’re going to want to add to your list to make for Christmas!  Why?  Cuz it’s super easy and fun! It uses a die cut frame from the A Little Bit Festive Mix & Match Specialty DSP to highlight a sentiment from a stamp set you MIGHT have overlooked in the new catalog!  It’s the fun Festive Words set – and I really like it!  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one is from the Freshly Made Sketches challenge this week!

I did a quick video on how to make this one, which is posted on Instagram.  You can see it on YouTube right here!

Okay – this is a quickie – so…buckle up! 🙂

I punched out the die cut frame from the sheet in the A Little Bit Festive Mix & Match Specialty DSP and set it on top of my 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″ piece of Basic White cardstock.

With the frame in place as a guide, I stamped the Festive Words image in Garden Green ink.

I used Copper Metallics Enamel Effects to color over the trunk.  And then I set the panel aside to dry.  It takes a minute – so…be patient!

Once it HAD dried, I used a little piece of Stampin’ Dimensional to adhere a gold star – ALSO from the A Little Bit Festive Mix & Match Specialty DSP – over the green stamped star.

Then I used Stampin’ Dimensionals – sort of a lot of them! – to adhere the frame in place!

Uhm…that was it for the card front!

On the inside, I needed a little something and I realized that the tree in the Decorative Trees stamp set was perfect. So…I stamped it in the corner of a Basic White cardstock panel in Garden Green ink.  I adhered another gold star with a little Liquid Glue.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of my Cherry Cobbler card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Decorative Trees tree on the front – I even adhered another little die cut gold star! – to the front…

…and a little bit of the A Little Bit Festive Mix & Match Specialty DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Y’all – the Festive Words set is so fun.  There are four large image/sentiments all set for the holidays!  And when you add some of the pieces, parts and papers from the A Little Bit Festive Mix & Match Specialty DSP – you’re going to be ready to roll and knock out pretty Christmas cards in no time! And – don’t forget Decorative Trees for the inside and the envelope!  It’s almost a perfect tree-match! 🙂

So – he posed.

The way he works the camera – such a pro! 😂
