Stampin’ Up! Perennial Lavender Delicate Forest Sneak Peek

Good morning and happy one-week-to-Christmas!  Yes indeed – the next time we have a Monday we’ll be celebrating the biggest Birthday ever! 🙂

Today’s card is…NOT a Christmas card. I feel like it’s getting to the point where…it’s a little too late, you know?? 🤷‍♀️  And – I really want to play with our new goodies!  So…I did!  This Sneak Peek is a riff on a sample card from the Jan-Apr 2024 Mini Catalog – the sample that made me HAVE to have the Delicate Forest bundle first thing! And – I paired it with a guaranteed-to-be-a-fave Perennial Lavender DSP!  Take a look-see:

The layout for this quick card is from the Freshly Made Sketches challenge this week!

I started with a full card-front-size piece of the gorgeous new Perennial Lavender DSP that I adhered to the front of a Lost Lagoon card base using Liquid Glue.

A foliage-strewn piece of the DSP, matted on Fresh Freesia cardstock, is next – adhered with more Liquid Glue.

On a piece of Basic White, I stamped the beautiful Delicate Forest tree image in the middle of the panel in Gorgeous Grape ink.  Without re-inking, I stamped it again to the left of the first image.

Then I stamped it on the right side in Fresh Freesia ink.

Y’all – I just love this tree image – it’s so delicate and beautiful! – and it’s just ONE of the wonderful parts of the Delicate Forest Bundle! I haven’t even BEGUN to use all the wunnermus-ness!  Look at that arbor die!!  And you get label dies that cut out all the pretty sentiments in the stamp set! 🥰

I matted the panel on Fresh Freesia and then adhered the matted panel to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On a piece of Lost Lagoon cardstock, I stamped one of the great sentiments from the set in Pretty Peacock ink.

Then I cut it out with one of those label dies in the Delicate Forest die set.

Using Stampin’ Dimensionals – I adhered the label to the card front.

I added some new Purple Fine Shimmer Gems (available in January in the new catalog!) in Gorgeous Grape and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped the Delicate Forest tree in Gorgeous Grape – twice, without re-inking – on a Basic White panel.  I added another small Purple Fine Shimmer Gem.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Fresh Freesia mat and then into the Lost Lagoon card base and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Delicate Forest tree stamped twice – without re-inking – in Gorgeous Grape on the front…

…and more of the beautiful Perennial Lavender DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Okay – I’m nearly overwhelmed by all the beautiful new things in the Jan-Apr 2024 Mini Catalog.  This one – the Delicate Forest bundle – is one that I marked smack at the top of my get-it-FIRST list (so…I did – in my demonstrator pre-order!).  And I snagged the stunning Perennial Lavender DSP in my PRE-pre-order so…it was ready and waiting to bring it’s wonderfulness to this card! 🙂
