Happy Monday, y’all! And – we’re back to a normal schedule with cards and Finn most days. Yeah! We’re headed to pick him up this morning and I’m very excited to see him. We got home yesterday after a long day of travel – to find everything in good order and Cady happy to see us!
My card today is out of this world! Well – it features the Reach for the Stars bundle and the truly amazeballs Stargazing DSP! I love this DSP so much – I’d like it as a full size mural on a wall in my office! Take a look-see!
The layout for this one is from the Sunday Stamps sketch challenge!
I started by cutting a panel of Stargazing DSP into three strips and using Liquid Glue to adhere them to a Basic Black mat for the card front.
Next up, I used the dies from the Reach for the Stars die set to cut a planet from one of the designs in the Stargazing DSP. That kind of die set coordination is one of my favorite things – how about you?!
I also used one of the dies to cut out some “rings” (it’s one die cut but it embosses as it cuts to look like several rings all together!) from a piece of Berry Burst Holographic Specialty DSP.
I slid the die cut planet into the rings and used Black Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the combination to the card front.
I stamped the Reach for the Stars sentiment in Berry Burst on a piece of Basic White cardstock and cut it out with a Stylish Shapes banner die.
I adhered the sentiment with a little Liquid Glue and a Black Stampin’ Dimensional.
Then, using the die in the Reach for the Stars set, I cut out a galaxy of stars from the silvery holographic paper in the Holographic Specialty DSP and adhered them all over with little dabs of Liquid Glue.
I added a bevy of Misty Moonlight gems from the Tinsel Gems Three Pack and…the card front was done!
For the inside, I stamped a second Reach for the Stars sentiment in Berry Burst on a Basic White panel. I added some stars in Flirty Flamingo!
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Basic Black mat and into my Flirty Flamingo card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Flirty Flamingo Reach for the Stars stars on the front…
…and more Stargazing DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! The Stargazing DSP is wonderful with its so-realistic images of galaxies and stars and the fun planets that you can cut right out with the Reach for the Stars Dies!
I hope you like!
