Stampin’ Up! Zany Zoo Something Great for the Happy Inkin Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all!  It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  We’ve got a great theme challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table – I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

So – there was a cute card in the catalog – and it included die cut DSP images (one of my fave things!) so…I decided it would be a great one for today’s theme!  It features the adorable Zany Zoo bundle and coordinating Zoo Crew DSP.  Take a look-see:

An alligator on a bike?!  Carrying balloons?  AND you just cut it right out of the Zoo Crew DSP with the dies in the bundle?  Yes, please!

And – here’s our theme!

I started by using a Blending Brush to add Pool Party ink to a piece of black-and-white Zoo Crew DSP.   I adhered it across a piece of Pool Party cardstock and trimmed the excess with my Paper Trimmer.

Then I adhered the panel to a Pool Party card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Using the dies in the Zany Zoo die set – I cut the alligator from one of the designs in the Zoo Crew DSP.  I used the balloon dies to cut out two Bubble Bath and two Lemon Lolly cardstock balloons.

I set the elements in place on another piece of Pool Party cardstock and, using the newly-redesigned-and-improved bullet end of my Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker – and a craft ruler! – I drew in balloon “strings”.

Then I popped the die cut gator in place with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added some “ground” with the Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker under the bike tires.

I adhered two balloons with Liquid Glue and the two ‘top” balloons with a Stampin’ Dimensional.

I die cut a few Basic White clouds and adhered them with Liquid Glue.

I stamped a Zany Zoo sentiment in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on a piece of Bubble Bath cardstock and used a Stylish Shapes banner die to cut it out.  I cut out another piece of the Zoo Crew DSP at the same time using the same die.

I adhered the DSP banner to the panel with Liquid Glue and adhered the sentiment over the top with Dimensionals.

Finally – I adhered the whole thing to the front of the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card front was done!

For the inside, I stamped a second Zany Zoo sentiment in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on a Basic White panel.  Then I stamped the confetti in Lemon Lolly and Bubble Bath.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Pool Party mat and into the Pool Party card base and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Zany Zoo confetti in Bubble Bath and Lemon Lolly on the front…

…and a little more sponged Zany Zoo DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Cute, right!?  I mean- I HOPE I never see an alligator on a bike but…if I DO – I hope he’s bringing balloons!!  The Zany Zoo bundle is super cute and is even MORE fun when paired with the Zoo Crew DSP!
