Stampin’ Up! Decorated With Happiness Celebrate Everything with Video Tutorial

Good morning!   How goes your weekend?  Last night on my YouTube video we got to chatting about Christmas trees – what kinds everyone has.  How we all decorate them.  Light preferences – white or colored.  It was a fun chat and I’m looking forward to seeing pics of everyone’s trees later in November!!

We got to thinking about Christmas due, I think, to the card we were putting together.  It’s a Pretty-in-Polished-Pink little number featuring the Decorated with Happiness Bundle and some gorgeous Polished Pink Celebrate Everything DSP.  And a little bit of velvety Snowflake Specialty Vellum.  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one was inspired by the CASE The Designer challenge over at the Global Design Project.

I started by adhering a piece of the Celebrate Everything DSP to the front of a Polished Pink card base with Liquid Glue.  Remember that this is a host-exclusive pack – you can get it for free with a workshop or individual order over $150!! I like free.  Do you like free?? 🙂

Next up, I used Liquid Glue on the back of a small panel of the Snowflake Specialty Vellum – just little dots of glue behind the printed portions of the vellum so that it would be hidden!  I adhered it to a same-size piece of Polished Pink cardstock and then to an Evening Evergreen mat with Liquid Glue.

On a piece of Basic White, I stamped the Decorated with Happiness sentiment in Evening Evergreen.  Then I cut it out with the most-square-ish Stitched Rectangle Die.

I popped the sentiment onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Using the dies in the Decorated Pine die set, I cut the big pine bough from Evening Evergreen Glimmer 12″ x 12″ Specialty Paper.  I also cut the three detailed ornaments from the gold Glimmer Paper.  And – while I had the cutter and the dies handy, I cut three Polished Pink bows.

I adhered the pine bough with Liquid Glue – then added the ornaments and bow with more glue.

I finished things off with a Polished Pink 2021-2023 In Color Opal Round – and a few of the Opals in Evening Evergreen (three on the card front and one on each bow) – and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped a second Decorated with Happiness sentiment in Evening Evergreen on a piece of Basic White cardstock.  In the top corner, I stamped my fave pine bough image ever! – in Evening Evergreen.  Then I stamped a Polished Pink ornament.  I added an Evening Evergreen 2021-2023 In Color Opal to the middle of the ornament and a couple in Polished Pink by the sentiment.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to an Evening Evergreen mat and into the Polished Pink card base and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Decorated with Happiness pine bough and ornament on the front…

…and more of the wunnermus Celebrate Everything DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  There’s a lot of pink here, yes??  But – I love Polished Pink SO much – and when you add in the Decorated Pine die cuts in Evening Evergreen and gold, you’ve got a gorgeous card for Christmas!  I love the pine image from Decorated with Happiness SO much!  It reminds me of the Ornamental Pine image from so long ago – my very FIRST Stampin’ Up! stamp set!!  I loved it – and I love this one was well!  And – I’ve used Celebrate Everything DSP for an all-occasion card, a Halloween card or two and now a Christmas card.  See how amazing it is?!

I hope you like!

If you’d like to recreate this card, all the products and card cuts you’ll need are down below!  And this was the card I made yesterday on my Stamps-N-Lingers YouTube live video!  If you’d like to see it – or see it again! – here ’tis on YouTube!

Finn Fan Fix

So…six years ago today – this happened!

Yep – we drove up to Tennessee “just to see” him….

Like I would have EVER been able to get back in the van and leave without this serious little man!!  I mean – look at that face!  He wasn’t sure what was happening but…I think he was displaying his roll-with-the-flow attitude that would be his “thing”!

Last night – this happened.

He’s grown up a little – knows his mom is a bit over-enamored of the camera on her phone – and is a lot less serious!  But..still the sweetest soul ever to have fur and four paws!

Happy Gotcha Day, Finny-Bo-Binny!

  1. Good things come from TN! He is so special and precious…handsome to boot. Pink…I love pink Christmas cards! Loved it last night, still love it this morning. Have a blessed day.

    • stampsnlingers

Yes they do! And soon so will you!!! Yeah!! Thank you so much, Karen! 🙂

  2. Such a pretty card! Love the sparkly ornaments and pine bough! And who’d have thought that Polished Pink would be a thing for Christmas, but it totally works! Look at how little Finny was!! Such a sweet guy. 🙂

    • stampsnlingers

I know, right?! And it never occured to me that PINK would be one of my fave colors!! And yes – he was tiny. Silly me – I thought he’d STAY small! 😳😳😳 I’m so glad he didn’t – I love my chunk-a-monk!! Thanks, Amy! 🙂

  3. Cyndie Soquet

He is such a ham. I certainly enjoy his antics and look forward to what he is up to daily.

    • stampsnlingers

He definitely plays for the camera, for sure. Of course, I’ve been aiming it at him since day 1 so he’s an old hand!! Thanks Cyndie!:)

  4. Charlotte+Hutcheson

Mary, one of the things I love about you is your ability to make up words…I mean REALLY…finny go benny…great name for a great dog. You’re the best!

    • stampsnlingers

Yes – he has MANY names!! Don’t they ALL end up with lots of different names?!? Thanks, Charlotte!! 🙂

  5. Faith Simpson

Hi Mary….it was a fun ‘live’ yesterday….this is such a pretty card!! I love pink for Christmas anyway….and those dies in that set……….love them.
As for Finn…..can’t say enough about his precious self. That baby picture just gets me. So that was his ‘gotcha’ day……what is his birthday?? He must be a bit older than Buffy, and I was thinking they were the same. She was 5 in May tho.

    • stampsnlingers

No – he turned 6 in June – so he’s a bit ahead of Buffy! His birthday is 17 Jun! Thanks so much, Faith! 🙂

  6. Susan K

Perfect in pink! I love all the glitz and glitter—so girly and pretty! TFS. Happy Gotcha Day for the Finnman and you! Doesn’t time fly? (Like this week will! 😃)

    • stampsnlingers

Yes it does!! And I know it’ll be Friday before I know it! Whoo-hoo! Can’t wait to see you! Thanks, Susan! 🙂

  7. Kate

  8. Pat C.

Pretty card with one of my favorite color combos.
Give Finn a “Gotcha Day” hug for me! ❤️

    • stampsnlingers

Hug is passed along – thanks, Pat! Glad you like the card and the colors! 🙂

  9. Gail S.

Wow, never thought of using pink that way. Totally works! I see Finn now has learned to give a little side smile for the camera, definitely a “keeper”.

    • stampsnlingers

Yes- he really knows how to “work it”! 🙂 Thanks very much, Gail – glad you like it! 🙂
