Stampin’ Up! Witty-Cisms Thoughtful Blooms with Video Tutorial for The Paper Players

Hey y’all – it’s Sunday, which means I’ve got another fun challenge for you from the Paper Players – it’s a Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge from Joanne this week and it’ll for sure jump-start your creative mojo!  I hope you’ll come and play along.  🙂

If you were able to join me last night for my Facebook Live video, I appreciate you spending some of your weekend with me!  If not, but you’d like to see the replay on YouTube…here ’tis!

I pulled out some more of the pretty Ornate Garden Specialty DSP – coming soon on 1 April (and available in a limited-time special bundle from me!) and then added a little Witty-Cisms and….Thoughtful Blooms flowers, punched with the Small Bloom Punch.  These are both free Sale-A-Bration goodies – available thru 31 Mar.  Take a look-see:

And here’s this week’s Paper Players Tic-Tac-Toe challenge!  These are my very favorite challenges!! Go across – down – diagonal….join the fun and show us your projects!  I can’t wait to see what you create!  🙂

And I used the sketch from the Freshly Made Sketches challenge for the layout – I just flipped it a bit!

I started with some flower-dy paper (oh – I went down the far right column on the challenge!) for my card front.

On a piece of Whisper White, I stamped the sweet little chinchilla from Witty-Cisms.  I used the Stamparatus and the Marker-to-Rubber technique to stamp JUST the chinchilla in Early Espresso.  I colored him with my Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends Combo Pack, then cut him out with the next-to-largest circle Stitched Shapes die.

I went back to the Stamparatus and used the Marker-To-Rubber technique again to color and stamp the sentiment in Mossy Meadow and Terracotta Tile.  Then I fussy cut each word and edged the resulting pieces with my Petal Pink Stampin’ Write Marker.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the die cut chinchilla to the Ornate Garden panel with a little hanging over the left edge – then I trimmed the excess with my Paper Trimmer.

Then I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Petal Pink mat.

I popped each fussy cut word on with a Stampin’ Dimensional.

I used Old Olive to stamp some Thoughtful Blooms branches and leaves above the chinchilla.  Using the Leaf Punch, I cut a couple of Mint Macaron leaves and one in Old Olive.  These I attached to the card front with Liquid Glue.

To make the Thoughtful Blooms flowers, I used Terracotta Tile and Petal Pink to stamp a variety on Whisper White.  The outline images are Terracotta Tile and the fills are Petal Pink!  Then I punched them all with the Small Bloom Punch.

Note: both these items are available right now as FREE Sale-A-Bration goodies – the Thoughtful Blooms stamp set with a $50 purchase and the Small Bloom Punch with a $100 purchase!

I adhered two of the flowers with Liquid Glue and then popped the middle flower up with a Dimensional.  A Champagne Rhinestone in the middle of each flower and two on the art circle finished off the card front!

On the inside, I stamped Happy Birthday (from the Witty-cisms stamp set) in Mossy Meadow on a Whisper White panel.  Around it, I stamped some dots from Thoughtful Blooms in Petal Pink.  In the corner, I added more flowers, branches and leaves from Thoughtful Blooms in Old Olive, Pear Pizzazz, Terracotta Tile and Petal Pink.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Petal Pink mat and into my Mint Macaron card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more Thoughtful Blooms florals on the front…

…and a little more Ornate Garden Specialty DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Gotta love the punny little sentiments and cute images in the Witty-cisms stamp set (and the Stamparatus makes multiple-color-coloring easy peasy!!).  And I have to say that the Thoughtful Blooms stamp set AND that awesome Small Bloom Punch – are two of my very favorite things from the Sale-A-Bration offerings!  I assume you’ve got them both already – but if not…hurry and get them before Sale-A-Bration leaves us on 31 March!!  I hope you like!

Finn Fan Fix

I’d like to say we’re done mixing dirt.

I know we’re out of Vermiculite so…we’re done for a minute! 😉

Fortunately, Finn was supervising.

Welll…for a bit.

I mean – it was HOT for a fur-dog!

He tried to get on the golf cart to rest, but his mom had left her drink right in the WAY.

Not very comfortable….

Oopsie… what bottle?!?

Ahhh – THAT’s better!!

Silly mom.
