Stampin’ Up! One Big Meaning Thanks Veteran’s Today!

Happy Veteran’s Day – to those who are currently serving – I thank you. From the bottom of my heart. Your selfless dedication and willingness to pay the ultimate price so that we may live in peace in our beautiful land is a blessing to us all. I pray for your safety and your swift return home! To the men and women who served and are now pursuing lives in the private world – I salute you! And Thank You. You gave up years of your lives with your families and friends, to protect us. We owe you everything!

To that end, today’s share is a blatantly patriotic, red white and blue thank you card. Since it features a Festive Flower, I suspect it would be more suitable to Soldiers/Airmen/Sailors/Marines of the female variety, but – there’s a lot of those folks these days. 🙂 I used the festive Flower Punch and the One Big Meaning stamp set – filled with all sorts of great Thank You sentiments. And some glitter. Okay – maybe kind of a lot!

Stampin’ Up! Happy Scenes Sparkly Seasons for Mojo Monday 419

Good morning from Arizona. Where it’s planned to be….wait for it….102 degrees today. In October. Which is the “Fall”. It’s just not okay. Can’t wait to get home tomorrow where at least GA knows a little sumpin’ sumpin’ about Autumn. We may not get it for very long – fingers crossed that this year we get more than last year! – but we get it. Trees change color and fall off and everything. And we get cold at night. All harbingers of cool, lovely FALL! Not so much here. I am pretty sure I’ll never end up being a snow-bird. Overnight lows of 83.

So, I brought a little Autumn/October/Halloween with me. Not literally! Just in the form of a card. I combined a bunch of sets – and every single one of them came as a money-saving bundle!! – Happy Scenes/Hearth & Home Thinlits, Sparkly Seasons/Seasonal Frame Thinlits, a little Among the Branches/Woodland TIEF… and I used a sort of unexpected DSP….Cherry on Top! Stampin’ Up! Happy Scenes on Vintage Leaflets!

Happy Thursday, y’all! Business is satisfactorily concluded and I’m getting back on the road to head home! In the meantime, please enjoy this card I have to share with you today.

I am really really pleased with this one (especially after the “teachable moment card” of yesterday!). But, let me warn you up front – it wasn’t particularly easy OR peasy to put together. It took a lot of adjusting and Stamp-A-Ma-Jigging and wiggling. But I finally got it and I’m proud as punch at how it turned out! And, let’s be honest here – if I can do it, so can you! Promise! 🙂

I’d seen a card with a Happy Scene on a Vintage Leaf (Miss Amy Koenders did one a few days back!) and I loved it. So, I wanted to do a similar thing, but….I didn’t want a direct CASE. So, I played in my head with an idea….and this is what I came up with. Take a look-see:

Stampin’ Up! Thoughts & Prayers and Leaflets Offer Sympathy for the Loss of a Pet

Today, sadly, I do not have a Christmas card to share. Or even a Halloween or Thanksgiving card. Today, I had to delve into my Thoughts & Prayers stamp set to make a special request card. A friend of a friend lost their 14 year old lab this past week. So, after seeing the Pink and Black card I made with the black lab stamp, she asked me to make a card for her to give.

All of us who share our lives with 4-legged fur-kids know that this is the greatest downside…they never stay with us long enough. It’s just part of the deal. The sucky part. I hear all the words….he had a great life….he knew you loved him. Yada yada yada. It still sucks and it still hurts something fierce.

But – I hope this card will bring some comfort and a smile. Take a look-see:

Stampin’ Up! Wondrous Wreath takes a Sleigh Ride Thru the Snow!

Well, it’s Friday-eve! Which is a little like Christmas Eve. Except that tonight you probably don’t have to stay up putting together a lot of “some assembly required” toys! Or is that even a thing any more? Do toys come out of the box ready to go? Maybe they just need to be plugged in. I’m out of touch in the toys-for-Christmas department!

My card today features the new Sleigh Ride Edgelits (not THAT sleigh – no reindeer here!) and Wondrous Wreath, with some Winter Wonderland Designer Vellum thrown in for good measure. Not to mention an assist from Happy Scenes! It’s a melding of the new and the not-so-new, to make a pretty 3-color Christmas Card. Take a look-see:
