Happy Monday, y’all! Hope you had a good weekend. Our Sunday was a little chilly – even late in the afternoon! So – Fall is here! Whoo-hoo! Wayne got a lot done outside – the last (probably) mowing of the year and some general tidying up! I – made bread! Cuz…bread!
And – I made a card! This is a Christmas card featuring a panel from the Yuletide Carols DSP. I juiced it up with some pine-y accents from the Frosted Pinecones bundle and…a hot foiled sentiment from the Magical Christmas Hot Foil Dies. Take a look-see:
The layout was inspired by this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

I started by adhering one of the 4″ x 5 1/4″ panels from the Yuletide Carols DSP to an Early Espresso mat for the card front.
Using the dies in the Frosted Pinecones set, I cut out a small, solid, Early Espresso pinecone and the coordinating detailed pinecone from gold Timeless Metallic Specialty Paper. I adhered them together with Liquid Glue.
Again using the dies in the set, I cut out three green and two gold Timeless Metallic Specialty Paper pine boughs.
Using Liquid Glue, I adhered the pine cone and boughs to the card front.
Then I tied a bow from two lengths of Very Vanilla Baker’s Twine and adhered it with some Liquid Glue.
Using the label die in the Frosted Pinecones set, I cut out the label from Pecan Pie cardstock and adhered it over the bow with double-stacked Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Using the Stampin’ Hot Foil System and the die in the Magical Christmas Hot Foil Dies, I hot foiled the multi-sentiment image in Gold Stampin’ Hot Foil on Cherry Cobbler cardstock. Then I cut it all out with the coordinating cutting die in the set.
I saved the Merry Christmas sentiment and the three foiled stars – and stuck the remainder in my little baggie of foiled sentiments for another day – and used Liquid Glue to adhere the foiled sentiment to the Pecan Pie label.
I adhered the three little stars and the card front was done!
On the inside, I stamped the Frosted Pinecones sentiment in Cherry Cobbler ink on a Basic White panel. In the corner, I stamped part of the big Frosted Pinecones image in Garden Green ink. I colored the pinecone with my Light Pecan Pie Stampin’ Blend.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of my Pecan Pie cardstock, adhered the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Frosted Pinecones image on the front…
…and a little more Yuletide Carols DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! Well – pinecones and music and gold metallics. Hello?! What could be better for Christmas!? The Magical Christmas Hot Foil Die yields a bunch of pretty sentiments – plus stars and candy canes! – ready to go on multiple projects! The Yuletide Carols DSP let me use music – which I love for cards – especially at Christmas! And – what’s not to love about the Frosted Pinecones bundle? Answer? Not one darned thing – it’s the best!

The buffet was….empty the other day!
Well – I mean – there was that last little bit – like…that one last piece of pizza sitting forlornly on the tray under the warmer on a cruise buffet. You know the one. Where you stand there – WANTING pizza but…hoping and hoping that a NEW, fresh pie is being walked out….
Fortunately – there is a VERY attentive staff at this establishment!
And – it meets with the pony’s four-hooves-up approval!
And – not only does it TASTE good…
…it’s a great head scratcher, too!
