Stampin’ UP! Web of Fun Happy Halloween Card

Happy Monday, y’all!  Just a little admin note – this is the final day to score Double Peppermint Points from me – so…don’t miss out!

Today’s card is another Halloween card – I can’t seem to keep from playing with the Web of Fun set – the die cuts are so much fun!  And I’m also really loving the Shimmering Stripes Specialty Paper, too – it’s as perfect for a spider web as it will be for Christmas!  Take a look-see:

The layout for this card was rather loosely inspired by the Freshly Made Sketches challenge this week.

I did a quick video on how to make this card –  which is posted on Instagram.  If you’d like to give that a watch – click here

I started by stamping the large web from Web of Fun in Highland Heather ink on a 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of Basic White cardstock.  I inked the web a second time – in Gorgeous Grape – and stamped it again – moving it a SMIDGE up and to the right, to create a shadow!

Using the brush end of my Light Basic Black Stampin’ Blend – I struck it on an acrylic block – sending splatters onto the card panel.

When I had as many splatters as I wanted I matted the panel on a 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″ piece of Timid Tiger cardstock and then on a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Highland Heather cardstock.

I put some Adhesive Sheets on the back of a piece of Shimmering Stripes Specialty Paper and then cut out a web using the big die from Web of Fun.  Then i used the Adhesive Sheet to adhere the web to the card front.

I put Adhesive Sheet on the back of a piece of Timid Tiger and a piece of Basic Black.  Using the sentiment dies in the Web of Fun set, I cut out “Halloween” and “happy” from the Timid Tiger and “happy” from the Basic Black.

I adhered “Halloween” to the card front using the Adhesive Sheets.  Then I stacked the black and Timid Tiger “happy” die cuts (just to give it a little depth” and adhered it to “Halloween”.

Using the cute spider die in the set, I cut out a Basic Black, Highland Heather and a Gorgeous Grape spider.  I adhered them all to the card front with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I colored five little white dots in the Adhesive-backed Bats, Ghosts and Dots with a Dark Timid Tiger Stampin’ Blend.

I added the five colored dots and the card front was done.

On the inside, I stamped the Web of Fun spider three times in Basic Black Memento Ink.  I colored them with the Dark Highland Heather Stampin’ Blend.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of my Basic Black card base, popped the card front on with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Web of Fun spider on the front…

…and the web in Highland Heather and Gorgeous Grape on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Is it any wonder I love the Web of Fun bundle?!  The die cut sentiments, pretty web and those cute, smiling spiders!  I really love it!  And – Shimmering Stripes Specialty Paper – such gorgeous sparkle!  Won’t it be fun for Christmas cards?!

I hope you like! 🙂

Mary, I wish we lived closer cause we’d be BFF! I really love Finn & Addy & we watched the Sheep Detectives. By the end of the show, I was sobbing and I completely fell in love with little George. And, who doesn’t love Hugh Jackman- be still my heart. 🤣🤩 I’ve been following your blog for years and plan to keep on keeping on till you don’t post anymore. ❤️
