Stampin’ Up! Snowy Peaceful Garden Open Bay Window Card with Video

Happy Sunday, y’all!  Hope you’re having a good weekend!  We got some rain yesterday – cuz of course.  Since Wayne has my truck in…pieces is harsh.  Not-quite-all-together?  Like… if I need to go anywhere I have to take the BIG truck.  Which isn’t my fave.  And once it started raining – he sorta had to shut it all down for a bit.  Hopefully it’ll be done by this evening!

So – for today’s card – I have a super cool (and really pretty easy, trust me!) fun fold that I shamelessly stole from my clever teammie Tara Carpenter!  I changed mine up a little – it’s perfect for Christmas if you like – but…it’d also be great to just let someone know you’re thinking about them!  It features a gorgeous die cut snowflake from the new Snowy Delights bundle – and pretty Peaceful Garden paper (both from the new Sep-Dec 2025 Mini).  Take a look-see:

I know!  Winter on a card!

I started with a 5 1/2″ x 10″ piece of Secret Sea cardstock – the card base – that I scored at 1 3/4″, 3 3/8″, 6 5/8″ and 8 1/4″.   Then I folded it – pretty much like a gate card: Valley – Mountain – Mountain – Valley.

Using Liquid Glue, I adhered five pieces of Peaceful Garden DSP on five Basic White mats – and then adhered three of them to the three inside panels of the card base.  The two end panels stay open for a minute. 🙂

I went ahead and made the back – stamping a Snowy Delights sentiment in Secret Sea on a Basic White panel.  I stamped the sweet little snowflake image from the set in stamped-off-once Secret Sea – and added a clear Faceted Snowflake.  Then I adhered it to the back of the card base with Liquid Glue.

To make the bay window strips, I cut two 1″ x 10″ pieces of Secret Sea and scored them both at 1 3/4″, 3 3/8″, 6 5/8″ and 8 1/4″.  Then I folded them – it’s still a gate fold – but…opposite.

I matted pieces of Peaceful Garden DSP to Basic White cardstock mats and adhered them to the middle three sections of each of the two bay window strips.

Using Liquid Glue – I adhered the two strips to the card base – one at the top – and one at the bottom.  I adhered the end panels of the strips to the end panels of the card base – aligning the sides and top (or bottom) of the cardstock.

Using Liquid Glue – I adhered the remaining matted pieces of Peaceful Garden DSP to the first and last panel of the card base.

For the pretty floating snowflake – I used Tear & Tape Adhesive to adhere a 3/4″ x 5 3/8″ strip of Window Sheet to the BACK of the two middle sections of the bay window strips.

Using the dies in the Snowy Delights die set, I cut out a large solid snowflake from Window Sheet and two detailed snowflakes from Peaceful Garden Glimmer paper – the larger in blue and the smaller in silver.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the two Glimmer Paper snowflakes together and then to the solid Window Sheet die cut snowflake.

I tied a bow from two lengths of new white Baker’s Twine (from the Black & White & Gold Baker’s Twine) – and adhered it with a Glue Dot.

I stamped a Snowy Delights sentiment in Secret Sea on a piece of Peaceful Garden DSP and cut it out with the oval die from the Snowy Delights die set.  Then I adhered it over the bow with double-stacked Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added a clear Faceted Snowflake to the sentiment.

I adhered the snowflake to the Window Sheet strip with Stampin’ Dimensionals – centering it on the card base – and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Snowy Delights snowflakes in stamped-off-once Secret Sea on the front…

…and more of the Peaceful Garden DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Yeah – it’s a seriously cool fun fold, y’all!  I very much hope you’ll give one a try!  I love the new Snowy Delights bundle – it’s got the stamp set – the dies – and it’s ALSO got five fun masks to make snowflakes of all kinds!  The Peaceful Garden DSP – and coordinating Peaceful Garden Glimmer Paper are just gorgeous – so many pretty blue – and beige – and Crumb Cake – designs to use for your wintery projects!

Sometimes I forget that…she’s a blonde.

All the way to her eyelashes.

And then I’m brushing her face and…I see them!  And I remember that she’s blonde ALL the way thru!

Y’all blondes don’t be offended – I’m blonde enough to be allowed to say that! ;
