Good morning everyone! Hope you enjoyed the extra time off yesterday – and had a chance to reflect a moment on WHY we take note of the day!
My card today uses a fun new product – the Extraordinary Flora Washi Tape! It’s super cool and super pretty – and – the design on it is cut-out-able using the Extraordinary Flora Die! I paired it with some Country Woods DSP – and a very cool new die set called…Party Banners! It all came together to make this pretty birthday card. Take a look-see:

I started by using Liquid Glue to adhere a strip of Misty Moonlight Country Woods DSP to a panel of Smoky Slate Country Woods DSP on an angle. I made the strip longer than I needed and then trimmed the excess with my Paper Snips. Then I adhered the panel to a Misty Moonlight mat with more Liquid Glue to make the card front.
Using the fourth-from-the-smallest Party Banner die – I cut out a banner from a piece of dark Country Woods DSP and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.
To make the flowers, I first adhered a piece of the Extraordinary Flora Washi Tape to a piece of Basic White cardstock. This tape is gorgeous – the pattern repeats – it’s 3 1/4″ wide and the pattern is about….7″? It repeats the same pattern each time – but alternates pinks and purples!
Using the Extraordinary Flora Die, I cut out all the flowers and foliage in one pass!
I adhered one of the larger flowers to the banner on the card front (the one in the top left corner) with Liquid Glue.
On a piece of Smoky Slate cardstock, I stamped the Unbounded Love sentiment in Misty Moonlight ink. Then I used the second-from-largest Stylish Shapes circle die to cut it out.
Using Stampin’ Dimensionals near the center of the circle, I adhered the sentiment to the card front.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the rest of the die cut flowers and leaves – some on top of the sentiment circle and some tucked underneath (that’s why you want to keep the Dimensionals toward the middle of the circle!).
With all the flowers in place – I added a couple of Basic Gray & Smoky Slate Pearls and the card front was done.
When I made the short video – I just used the next design on the tape – that one was in pinks – versus the purples in the first card!
On the inside, I just went with a second sentiment from Unbounded Love stamped in Misty Moonlight ink on a Basic White panel.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of my Smoky Slate card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.
On the video, I used a little Liquid Glue to adhere a couple of the remaining Extraordinary Flora Washi Tape die cuts to the front of a Basic White Medium Envelope – but…I’d only do that if you’re going to hand-deliver the card! Otherwise – just leave it plain!
But you can for sure add some Country Woods DSP to the envelope flap – I mean…we’re not animals! 😉
Et Voila! If you’ve never die cut Washi Tape – this Extraordinary Flora Washi Tape is a great way to give it a try! Just be sure to stick it on some cardstock, first! Don’t forget to pick up the coordinating Extraordinary Flora Die, okay?! It makes cutting out all that gorgeous foliage easy – peasy (you might as well grab the bundle – you’re going to want that stamped image, too, I promise!). And the Unbounded Love set is a really good one to keep on hand – TONS of handy sentiments. The new Party Banners die set is HUGE – there are 17 banners in the set – SOOO handy!
