Good morning, y’all! It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop. We’ve got a sketch challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table. I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!
Since we’re getting close to Valentine’s Day, I figured I’d better make one! 🤦♀️. So – I grabbed a couple of new Online Exclusive goodies – the Hearts of Elegance bundle and the coordinating Marbled Elegance Specialty DSP to get it done! Take a look-see:
And here’s our sketch!
I did a quick video on how to make this cool card, which is posted on Instagram. If you’d like to give that a watch – click here!
I started by adhering a piece of Marbled Elegance Specialty DSP to a Flirty Flamingo mat for the card front.
Using the next-to-smallest banner in the Nested Essentials die set (another Online Exclusive) – I cut out two pieces of Marbled Elegance Specialty DSP – from the gold-foiled side!
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the two banner dies cuts to the card front.
I added some Stampin’ Seal between the two banner dies and then used that Seal to adhere a figure-8 of Flirty Flamingo twine from the Baker’s Twine Three-Color Pack.
I used the fun heart die – it embosses AS it cuts! – from the Hearts of Elegance die set – to cut out a Basic White heart. Note: these dies aren’t available right now – sorry – but they’re expected back around the week of 3 Feb 2025.
I adhered the heart over the Baker’s Twine with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
On a piece of Flirty Flamingo cardstock, I stamped the Hearts of Elegance sentiment in Versamark Ink and sprinkled it with gold embossing powder from the Metallics WOW Embossing Powder pack. Then I heat set the powder using the Heat Tool on the high setting.
When it was cool, I cut it out with the smallest Nested Essentials rectangle die and adhered it with a little Liquid Glue and a couple of Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I added five Adhesive-backed Heart Sequins and the card front was done.
On the inside, I stamped a second Hearts of Elegance sentiment in Melon Mambo on a Basic White panel. In the corner, I stamped the pretty heart from the set in Flirty Flamingo ink. Then I added another Adhesive-backed Heart Sequin.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the Thick Basic White card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Hearts of Elegance heart in Flirty Flamingo ink on the front…
…and more of the gold-foiled Marbled Elegance Specialty DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! Hearts abound in the Hearts of Elegance bundle – I LOVE this one that is embossed so prettily – and it has the stamped images and sentiments to get the message across! And the Marbled Elegance Specialty DSP is lovely in Melon Mambo, Flirty Flamingo and gold-foiling. There’s also Petal Pink, Poppy Parade and Cherry Cobbler in the rest of paper designs in the pack. So sweet!
