Stampin’ Up! Timeless Plaid Around it All Card with Video Tutorial

Good morning and Happy Mid-Way Thru the Weekend!  We’re headed out to our friends in a couple of hours – hope the Jalapeno Popper Dip I made will meet with approval.  I KNOW the maple bars will…. 🤷‍♀️

My card today is super easy – thanks to the fun new Online Exclusive Around it All Bundle – and some pretty Timeless Plaid 6″ x 6″ DSP. Take a look-see:

The fun layout is from the Try A Sketch on Tuesday challenge.

I started by adhering a piece of Timeless Plaid 6″ x 6″ DSP to a Boho Blue mat for the card front.  I LOVE this paper so much – and there are so many plaids and color combos that you could use with this exact same card layout!

Next – I embossed a strip of Boho Blue cardstock in the new Starstruck Embossing Folder (a free-with-$60-purchase goody during Sale-a-Bration!) and adhered it with Liquid Glue.

Using the third-from-smallest die in the Around it All Die set I cut out a Lemon Lolly circle, embossed it in the Starstruck EF and adhered it with Liquid Glue.

On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the Around it All sentiment in Boho Blue ink.

Using the fourth-from-largest Around it All Die, I cut out the sentiment and adhered it with Stampin’ Dimensionals – keeping the dimensionals near the center.

I used the second-from-smallest Around it All die to cut out a brown plaid from the Timeless Plaid DSP.  I tucked it under the sentiment – adhering it with Liquid Glue.

I stamped the smiley face in Boho Blue on a piece of Boho Blue cardstock and cut it out with the smallest Around it All die.

I adhered the smiley face with a little Liquid Glue and a Stampin’ Dimensional.

Now – in case you’re wondering – I used four different sizes of the Around it All dies.

I added five Lemon Lolly Adhesive-backed Rainbow Dots and five Boho Blue 2023-2025 In Color Opaque Sparkle Dots and the card front was done!

For the inside, I used Small Blending Brushes to add Daffodil Delight ink to the middle of the Congrats sentiment in the Around it All set.  Then I used a second Small Blending Brush to add Boho Blue ink around the edge.  I “huffed” on the stamp (like you’re huffing on a window to fog it up and draw a smiley face) and stamped it on a Basic White panel.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the Lemon Lolly card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Around it All smiley face in Boho Blue on the front…

…and more Timeless Plaid 6″ x 6″ DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  The Around it All Bundle is one of those “fly-over” sets in the Online Exclusives section of the Online Store.  But that would be a shame.  The dies are really fun – and work perfectly with the sentiments – and cute images! – in the bundled stamp set.  You can make a wedding card, new baby card, graduation card – heck you can do all those with THIS layout and various color combos inspired by the amazeballs Timeless Plaid 6″ x 6″ DSP (in the Jan-Apr 2025 Mini Catalog)!!  So many projects with one bundle and one DSP pack.  BOOM!

Thanks so much, Karen! Yes! I was so glad he had a home – and that Wayne knew where it was! He was a nice boy but…a Malinois is a whole ‘nuther level of active and “needing a job”! Finn and I just don’t have the energy!! 🙂
