Good morning on halfway-thru-the-weekend Day! Hope you’re staying warm wherever you are – and if you’re in harms way in SoCal – hope you are staying safe. Our thoughts and prayers are with you – and we’re helping with a fundraiser to send…as much help as we can as soon as we can!
We all have friends who are special to us – for all the things they do – big AND little – and my card today celebrates those folks! It’s a simple card – with the new Online Exclusive Twisted in Time stamp set and bundled dies taking centerstage on a Beautiful Bokeh DSP background. Take a look-see:
I started with a piece of Berry Burst paper from the Beautiful Bokeh 6″ x 6″ DSP. In each corner, I stamped the little fleur-de-doo from Twisted in Time in Berry Burst ink. Then I matted the panel on Daffodil Delight for the card front.
On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the Twisted in Time tree trunk in Pecan Pie ink. Then I stamped the leafy tree top in Granny Apple Green ink. I cut the tree out with the die in the bundled Twisted In Time die set.
I cut out a Pecan Pie tree trunk using the Twisted in Time die and adhered it over the stamped trunk with Liquid Glue.
Using the smallest leaves dies in the set, I cut out several Granny Apple Green and Garden Green leaf clusters. I adhered them, using Liquid Glue at the “bottom” of each die cut, to the top of the tree.
I adhered the tree to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
On a piece of Daffodil Delight cardstock, I stamped the Twisted in Time sentiment in Pecan Pie ink and cut it out with the label die in the set. This is a cool die – it gives you some banner-y depth without doing any folding or anything! 🙂
I adhered the banner over the base of the tree using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I added some Berry Burst gems from the Sunny Day Iridescent Dots – nestling them in the branches of the tree.
I added some birds from the Adhesive-backed Dragonflies & Birds – swooping in and and above the tree top and on the sentiment – and the card front was done!
On the inside, I stamped a second Twisted in Time sentiment in Pecan Pie ink on a Basic White panel. In the corner, I stamped the tree trunk in Pecan Pie and the top in Granny Apple Green. I added some apples with the Berry Burst Stampin’ Write Marker. Then I added the fluer-de doo in the other three corners in Berry Burst ink.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of my Granny Apple Green card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the tree – and Berry Burst apples! – on the front…
…and more of the Beautiful Bokeh 6″ x 6″ DSP (with a few stamped fleur-de-doo’s on it) on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! Isn’t this Twisted in Time set fun? With sentiment options for thank you – friendship – EASTER! – plus the build-a-tree stamps – it’s got lots of versatility for you! The Beautiful Bokeh 6″ x 6″ DSP is beautiful, with lots of colors to choose from!
