Stampin’ Up! Simply Flowering Zinnias in a Grid Thank You Card

Good morning, y’all – and Happy Happy HAWWWMP DAY!!  Yes – we’re half-way thru the week between Palm Sunday and Easter!  Friday is coming!! 🙂

My card today celebrates…all things SPRING!  It features the cheerful, happy and bright Flowering Zinnias DSP and the coordinating Simply Zinnia bundle – both of which are Online Exclusive products!!  I arranged some zinnias in a quick and easy grid pattern to make this thank you card.  Take a look-see:

I know, right?  This one just made me happy!!

The layout was inspired by this week’s Paper Players challenge!

I made a quick video on how to make this one – and posted it on Instagram this morning.  You can see it on YouTube right here!

I started with some pretty Highland Heather paper from the gorgeous Flowering Zinnias DSP on Daffodil Delight card stock for the card front.

Using the two flower petal dies in the Simply Zinnia bundle, I cut out a total of eight petals – four in Lemon Lolly and four in Basic White.  I used the die cut that has the smaller center as the top petal and the one with the larger center as the bottom petal.

Using Liquid Glue – I adhered the petals together to create four flowers.  Note: you’ll need two of each color in both sizes of petals.

I lightly curled the top petals with my fingers and then adhered them to the card front in a grid using Liquid Glue.

I cut out four Daffodil Delight flower centers and adhered them with Liquid Glue.

I tied a simple bow from two strands of white Baker’s Twine and adhered it in the middle between the flowers with Liquid Glue.

On a piece of Basic White, I stamped the Simply Zinnia sentiment in Highland Heather and then cut it out with a Stylish Shapes banner die.

I adhered the sentiment over the bow with double-stacked Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added a large Petal Pink dot from the Rainbow Adhesive-backed Dots to the middle of each flower and a few Lemon Lolly dots on the card front and the card was done!

On the inside, I stamped the pretty flower from Simply Zinnia in Lemon Lolly ink on a Basic White panel.  Over the top, I stamped a second sentiment in Highland Heather.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Daffodil Delight mat and into my Highland Heather card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got that pretty flower in Lemon Lolly on the front…

…and more Flowering Zinnias DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Well – this suite is going to go down in my books as one of my faves of all time.  I just love the flowers and the leaves that you can die cut with the Simply Zinnia dies – and the stamped images and sentiments in the bundled stamp set are a perfect complement.  And – there aren’t really words to say how much I love the Flowering Zinnias DSP – it is ALMOST literally – Spring-on-Paper!  So much fun to be had!

Finn Fan Fix

Finn has a Secret Admirer. 🙂

Any dog with even a modicum of restraint would have set the box aside and waited until Sunday.

But – it’s Finn.  SO…. get after it, lady-with-the-thumbs!

New TOY!

He took it to the living room so it could start to feel at home.

And then…back to see what ELSE there was in that enticing box!

It’s an…EASTER BASKET!!

And…a COOOKIEEEEEEE!!

Wayne said…aren’t you going to break it in half?

Sigh…Dads. Whatcha gonna do?!

Thanks, Secret Admirer!!
