Good morning – and Happy Halloween! Are you trick-or-treating tonight? Closing the door – pulling the blinds – turning off all the lights? Or…looking at a big bowl of candy and waiting for the ghoulies and ghosties to show up!? We’re doing none of the above – no sane ghoulie or ghostie ever ventures down our loooooooonng driveway in the dark! Not even for Reese’s!!
Just an admin note: today is not only Halloween but it is ALSO the final day of the World’s Best Joining Special (that’s not even an exaggeration!) AND it’s the last day of my Packaging Special! So if you’re that “wait till the last minute” person…guess what!? 😳😳
Now – since it IS Halloween I have a Christmas card for you today! Always looking ahead! This one is a bright and cheery little number showcasing the Wishes All Around stamp set and bundled dies, plus some fun Merry Bold & Bright DSP. Take a look-see:
The layout for this one is from the MFT Sketch Challenge this week!
I started with a 3 7/8″ x 3 7/8″ piece of striped Merry Bold & Bright DSP. Using the rotary cutter Crafter’s Tip in my Take Your Pick Tool, I free-handed a curved top edge. I adhered the resulting panel to a Basic White panel using Liquid Glue. Then I adhered all THAT to a Granny Apple Green mat to make the card front.
On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the Wishes All Around wreath twice – once in Shaded Spruce and once in Granny Apple Green. Then I cut them both out with the coordinating die in the Wishes All Around die set.
I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the Granny Apple Green wreath on top of the Shaded Spruce wreath – offsetting it so that the tips don’t line up.
Using the next-to-largest Stylish Shapes circle die, I cut out a Basic White circle which I adhered to the back of the layered wreath with a little Liquid Glue.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the wreath to the card front.
I stamped a Wishes All Around sentiment in Poppy Parade on a strip of Basic White, matted it on Granny Apple Green cardstock and adhered it to the wreath with Liquid Glue and a couple of Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I tied a small bow from two lengths of 2022-2024 In Color Baker’s Twine in Sweet Sorbet. That’s adhered to the top of the wreath with a Glue Dot.
Finally, I added some white snowflakes from the Adhesive-backed Snowflake Assortment (an Online Exclusive!) and the card front was done!
On the inside, I stamped a Wishes All Around sentiment in Poppy Parade on a piece of Basic White cardstock. Then I stamped the small tree from the set in Shaded Spruce and Granny Apple Green.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Granny Apple Green mat and into my Poppy Parade card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Wishes All Around trees on the front…
…and more Merry Bold & Bright DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! Okay – this was my first time using the Rotary Cutter tip in my Take Your Pick – what a fun tool, y’all! No more will I fear those curvy-wavy design elements – look how perfect it is with the Merry Bold & Bright DSP! And the Wishes All Around bundle makes such a cool wreath – definitely cut out TWO of them (a full wreath is a happy wreath!) and stack them up!
I hope you like!
