Stampin’ Up! Tartan Rustic Crate Life is Better With You Card

Good morning and Happy Monday!  This is a special day in the Deatherage household – you’ll see why later! 😎😎😎

In the meantime – how’s about a card!?  I made this quick and easy little number with just some Tartan Foil Specialty DSP and the Rustic Crate stamp set.  Oh – and my go-to-gotta-have-it Stylish Shapes dies.  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one is from this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

I started by adhering a piece of Copper Clay paper from the Online Exclusive Tartan Foil Specialty DSP to a Pumpkin Pie mat for the card front.

On a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock, I stamped the pretty flower spray image from Rustic Crate in Tuxedo Black.  I stamped it at the top – then rotated the cardstock 180 degrees and stamped it on the bottom.

I colored the flowers with the Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blend (looks a lot like Crushed Curry, doesn’t it!?) – then added a little color at the base of the petals with a Light Pumpkin Pie Blend.  I colored the middles of the flowers with a Light Pecan Pie Blend and the leaves with the Dark Old Olive Blend.

Then I colored over just the flowers with my Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Pumpkin Pie mat and then onto the card front.

On a piece of Very Vanilla, I stamped the Rustic Crate sentiment in Copper Clay ink.

Using the next-to-largest square Stylish Shapes Die – I cut out the sentiment and adhered it to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added a few Old Olive Adhesive-backed Speckled Dots and the card front was done.

On the inside, I stamped the Rustic Crate flowers in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink in the corners of a Very Vanilla panel.  I colored them with the Blends – and the Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush – just like I’d done on the front.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Pumpkin Pie mat and into my Thick Very Vanilla card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got the Rustic Crate flowers on the front…

…and more of the Tartan Foil Specialty DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  The Rustic Crate stamp set is so pretty – I love the fonts in the sentiments and the three Fall-themed images are perfect for making your projects this time of year!  And – I didn’t even need the bundled die cuts!  The Tartan Foil Specialty DSP – you get sheets in Copper Clay, Lost Lagoon and Pebbled Path – is simply….Wow!
