Stampin’ Up! CAS Magical Meadow Winter Wishes Card

Good morning and Happy Monday!  Hope you had a great weekend! 🙂

My card today is super simple – and really clean, too.

Well.  For me. 🤷‍♀️

I used the sweet Magical Meadow stamp set and dies – plus the pretty Snowflake Sky 3D Embossing Folder – to make a Winter card.  Not Christmas or even Holiday-specific!  Just…happy Winter!  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one is from this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

I started by stamping the sentiment from Magical Meadow in Moody Mauve on a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock.

Above the sentiment, I colored a swath with my Light Lost Lagoon Stampin’ Blend.  Above that – I added a second swath with the Dark Lost Lagoon Stampin’ Blend.

I embossed the panel in the Snowflake Sky 3D Embossing Folder.

Then I adhered the panel to a Moody Mauve mat with Liquid Glue.

I used four of the dies from the Magical Meadow die set to cut out a Moody Mauve CS bough, a Very Vanilla CS bough and two boughs from the Soft Shimmer Specialty Paper – one in Lost Lagoon and one in Pretty Peacock paper.

Using Liquid Glue, I adhered the boughs to the cardstock – with the Lost Lagoon on the bottom and ending with the Very Vanilla bough on the top.

I added a simple bow – tied with two lengths of Very Vanilla Baker’s Twine – using a little Liquid Glue.

Now – if you watch the short video I have linked below – you’ll see that I used two lengths of Linen Thread for that one.  Uhm…yep – I totally ran OUT of Very Vanilla Baker’s Twine before I could do the second card! 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Which one do you like better?  Baker’s Twine or Linen Thread?  I think – you could use either one, I like them both! 🙂

I added some Moody Mauve Adhesive-backed Speckled Dots and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped some foliage from Magical Meadow on a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock.  I did one in stamped-off-once Pretty Peacock, one in full strength Lost Lagoon and the last in stamped-off-once Moody Mauve.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Moody Mauve mat and into my Thick Very Vanilla card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got the Magical Meadow foliage on the front…

…and a little bit of Winter Meadow DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Oh – I love this Magical Meadow bundle – you KNOW I’m a sucker for die cut foliage and this die set is FULL of them!! I really love them – and the fonts in the bundled stamp set are gorgeous.  And – it’s always fun to add a little tone-on-tone texture with an embossing folder like Snowflake Sky!!

I noticed this AFTER he’d been in the house for about 30 minutes.

See it?

No?

How ’bout a close-up….

Yeah…those.

That’s Finn for…”🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ What?!?”
