Good morning and happy Sunday! Thanks to everyone who was able to join me last night for our FOURTEENTH Saturday before Christmas Saturday Nite Live! I hope you’re enjoying the countdown to Christmas – and that you’re starting to get some ideas for your 2023 holiday cards!!
And – this is the card we made – it uses one of my faves – the Merriest Trees Bundle – and one of the beautiful new Special Release DSPs – the Traditions of St. Nick DSP. Take a look-see:
I took inspiration from the CASE The Designer challenge over at the Global Design Project!
I started by adhering a piece of the wunnermus Traditions of St. Nick DSP to the front of my Copper Clay card base using Liquid Glue.
Y’all – this paper is so beautiful – AND it coordinates with the dies in the Saint Nicholas Die set – you can cut Santa right out of the DSP with DIES!! YES!
Next up, I adhered a panel of Wild Wheat cardstock at a slight angle with Liquid Glue.
I embossed a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock in the Distressed Tile 3D Embossing Folder. Then I used a VERY DRY Blending Brush to add a “glow” with Wild Wheat ink. Note: start OFF your cardstock (on a piece of scrap paper) and then go lightly – you can always ADD ink – but it’s hard to take it OFF! 🤷♀️
Using Stampin’ Dimensionals – I adhered the panel to the card front.
On a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock, I stamped the whole detailed Christmas tree image from Merriest Trees in Mossy Meadow ink. Then I stamped the fill with stamped-off-once Mossy Meadow. I also stamped the trunk image in Copper Clay on the Very Vanilla cardstock.
Using the next-to-largest tree die in Merriest Trees – I cut out the top four tiers of the image. Then I adhered it to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I cut out the trunk with its die – and adhered it with Liquid Glue.
Then I tied a small bow with Wild Wheat 2023-2025 In Color Jute Trim and adhered it with Liquid Glue.
On a strip of Very Vanilla, I stamped the sentiment from Merriest Trees in Copper Clay. Then I snipped a banner end and adhered it with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Note: use DOUBLE stacked Dimensionals on the left side where the sentiment overlaps the die cut tree. You’ll need a TRIPLE stack for the right end of the sentiment!
I added three Wild Wheat stars cut with the Merriest Trees dies – and three Mossy Meadow Adhesive-backed Speckled Dots (YES – they’re BACK!!) and the card front was done!
On the inside, I stamped the tree images again in Mossy Meadow and stamped-off-once Mossy Meadow in the corner of a Very Vanilla panel. I added some Copper Clay bows and a Wild Wheat star.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Wild Wheat mat and into the Copper Clay card base and the card was done!
My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got the decorated tree on the front…
…and more of the Traditions of St. Nick DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! Well – what do you think?! Is this card – with its simple Merriest Trees tree and stars – on your list for 2023?? I love the Traditions of St. Nick DSP – the Copper Clay, Wild Wheat and Mossy Meadow colors bring a very old-fashioned Christmas feel to it that is very appealing! It’s available now as part of the Special Release DSP promotion – but only while supplies last!
I hope you like!

I mentioned yesterday that we’d brought our trailer home to get cleaned up.
While I was wiping things down on the inside, the Man came in – to find me (I could hear Wayne outside….”she’s in the trailer – go up the steps – she’s inside”) and to check it out!
Yep – pretty good visibility from the door!
And then…
Yep – he CAN find the narrowest spot to settle in, can’t he?! No matter where he is! 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤷♀️

Such a pretty card! Love the colors and the clean layering. Perfect! And of course he found the narrowest spot…he doesn’t want to miss any of the action! 😉
Nope – and he never ever does. Well – unless he’s sleeping. THEN he misses some stuff! 🤷♀️🤷♀️. Thanks so much, Amy! 🙂
Gorgeous card, Mary! So…..if you are cleaning it up, does that mean there’s a trip in the near future?
Thank you, Judi! Wayne’ll be using it so he can go work on our rental house in Arkansas. ONE day maybe it’ll be an actual VACATION trailer! LOL! 🙂
Mary.. this card is just beautiful. I love it. Thank you for sharing with us..
Thank you so much, Bernice!!
Great card! You are beginning to “sell” me on that paper…….I didn’t get a good feeling about it at first but you are starting to change my mind!!!! We spent 10 yrs. on the road in a 5th wheel touring the country. Where do you spend most of your RVing time?? Looking forward to more holiday ideas for cards…..need to get started pretty quick!!!!!!
Hey Karen – we originally bought the trailer as a spot for my husband to stay while he worked on our rental house. We’ve got it down here for the same reason! With a pony still living at home – it’s really hard for us to be gone for any length of time! One day, though….traveling is on the list!! Thank you so much – I hope you’ll try a pack of that paper! 🙂
Nice tree!
Nice trailer!
Nice treat-waiter!
Thanks, Mom! 🙂
