Stampin’ Up! CAS Forever Forest Night Divine Christmas Card

Good morning and welcome back to the work week!  Hope it’s going to be a good one for you!!

My card today is a quick and easy – and yet very elegant and beautiful! – Christmas card.  It showcases one of the wunnermus new papers in the DSP Special Releases – called the Tartan Foil Specialty DSP.  I used it – in Lost Lagoon – as the basis for a little Forever Forest “scene” and a simple sentiment from the Night Divine stamp set.  Take a look-see:

Now – the layout was inspired by the sketch from this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge.  But – I realized that I mis-interpreted it pretty badly.  I realized it when I pulled the sketch to post here for you! Oopsie. 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

I started with some new Tartan Foil Specialty DSP – this is part of our DSP Special Release – so you’ll only see it online (it’s not in a catalog anywhere) and it’s only available while supplies last.  But – it’s beautiful in Lost Lagoon, Copper Clay and Pebbled Path!

I adhered a piece of the Lost Lagoon DSP on a Pool Party mat to make the card front.

From a piece of Pretty Peacock cardstock, I cut a couple of Forever Forest pine trees.  I also cut one from a scrap of Pretty Peacock paper from the All About Autumn DSP.

I adhered the tallest tree with Liquid Glue.

Next – I cut out the two Basic White “snowbanks” using the dies in the Forever Forest set.  I adhered the largest of them to the card front at the bottom of the large tree with Liquid Glue.

Then I adhered the smaller Pretty Peacock tree and the All About Autumn tree – both with Liquid Glue.

I added the second snow bank with a couple of Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I cut out a moon and a few stars from Basic White cardstock using the cute little Forever Forest dies – and then adhered them with little dabs of Liquid Glue.  The putty end of my Take Your Pick tool was PERFECT for this!

On a piece of Basic White – I stamped the Night Divine sentiment in Pretty Peacock ink.

I cut out the sentiment with a Stylish Shapes label die and popped it onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and that finished off the card front!

For the inside, I stamped part of the forest image from Forever Forest in Pretty Peacock in the corner of a Basic White panel.  I stamped snow banks in stamped-off-once Pool Party.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Pool Party mat and into my Pretty Peacock card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Forever Forest trees and snow banks on the front…

…and more of that gorgeous Tartan Foil Specialty DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Just a few colors – all shades of green – is all this one needed!  The Forever Forest bundle is wonderful – the stamp set is all images that coordinate perfectly with the bundled die set.  Needing a sentiment to finish it off – I didnt have to look any further than the wonderful Night Divine stamp set.  And – Tartan Foil Specialty DSP?  What’s NOT to love?? 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️
