Stampin’ Up! Tricks & Treats Halloween Card for the Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all – welcome to another edition of the Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team blog hop!  Each month we make projects centered around a theme – and this month our theme is Halloween Fun!  Be sure to check and see everyone’s projects – we’ve got a bunch of talented ladies hopping with us this month!

I pulled out some ghosty-ghosts from the Tricks & Treats bundle – plus some fun Them Bones DSP – and put them all together on a card that’s juuuuusst spooky enough!  Take a look-see:

This fun layout is from the MFT Sketch Challenge this week!

I started by adhering a piece of Cajun Craze Them Bones DSP to the top of a Starry Sky panel.

I adhered two more strips of the DSP to a Starry Sky mat using Liquid Glue.  Note: the mat and DSP strips start out longer than needed – be sure that you cut them long enough to go across the card front on the diagonal as shown. 🙂

I adhered the matted strips to the card front on an angle, using Liquid Glue.  The ends hang over the two edges of the card front.

Using my Paper Trimmer, I trimmed off the excess cardstock/DSP.

Using the larger “vein” die from the Autumn Leaves dies to cut out a “tree” from a piece of gold paper from the NEW Online Exclusive Silver & Gold Adhesive-backed Glimmer Paper.

I pulled the backing off the “tree” and then tapped the TOP branches on my pants leg (to make it NOT sticky!) – and adhered it to the card front.

I used the Tricks & Treats die to cut out three Basic White ghosts.  I adhered them to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Note:  check out the top ghost – he’s sort of tucked into the tree branches.  He’s a bit of a show-off!  That’s why I wanted that part of the die cut to be NOT sticky! 🤙

Using the cute sentiment die in the set, I cut out THREE Starry Sky “boo” die cuts and one Basic White “boo”.  Using Liquid Glue, I adhered all the Starry Sky cuts in a stack – then added the Basic White die cut on the top and adhered it to the card front with more Liquid Glue.

I added some dots with gold Metallic Enamel Basic Effects and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped a Tricks & Treats sentiment in Cajun Craze on a Basic White panel.  I added some Starry Sky ghosts cuz…they so cute!! 🙂

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Starry Sky mat and into the Cajun Craze card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got some Starry Sky ghosts on the front…

…and more of the Them Bones DSP on the envelope flap!

Et Voila! Okay – seriously.  How adorable are the little die cut ghosts from the Tricks & Treats bundle??  And they’re MATCHED by the insane cuteness of the STAMPED ghosts from the stamp set.  Awwwww!  I love the Them Bones DSP, too – it’s got so many options to choose from!
