Stampin’ Up! Joy of Noel Christmas Classics with Video Tutorial

Good morning and happy Sunday! Are you having a good weekend?  We got a little break in the heat – it was actually a little chilly when I let the man out yesterday.  The afternoon was warm but…you can feel Fall considering making an appearance. I am VERY ready.  I mean – it’s been months and MONTHS since I was able to complain about being cold! 😂😂

My card for today is the next installment in the 17-Saturdays-to-Christmas Saturday Nite Live video series.  It features several of the goodies in the new Joy of Christmas Suite! The coordinating Joy of Noel and Christmas Classics bundles shine atop Joy of Christmas DSP.  Take a look-see:

The fun layout for this one was inspired by the sketch challenge at the Global Design Project this week.

Yes – I added a strip.  I NEEDED that ODD number.  Don’t judge! 😉

I started with some Pecan Pie musical paper from the stunningly pretty Joy of Christmas DSP...

…that I matted on Shaded Spruce cardstock for the card front.

Then, using the rectangle die from the Christmas Classics die set, I cut out the five pieces of a second design in the DSP.  Using Liquid Glue, I adhered them to the card front.

Then I pulled out the dies from both the Joy of Noel and the Christmas Classics die sets and cut some foliage!

– I cut three pine boughs (Joy of Noel) from Shaded Spruce cardstock.

– I cut three more from Vellum cardstock.

– I cut three leaf dies (Christmas Classics) from Old Olive cardstock.

– I cut the five little sprigs (Joy of Noel) from Vellum cardstock.

Using my Dark Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Blend – I colored the BACK of the three Vellum pine bough die cuts.

Then – using Liquid Glue – I adhered the die cuts to the card front.

Next up, I used Stampin’ Seal+ to adhere a loop-d-loop of Pecan Pie 1/2″ Bordered Ribbon.  I used a few Glue Dots to adhere the loops of the ribbon back onto itself.  THAT was a confusing sentence so…check out the video! 🙂

I used the square die in the Christmas Classics die set to cut out a Cherry Cobbler square, which I embossed in the Timber 3D Embossing Folder.

For the sentiment, I used the die in the Joy of Noel die set to cut out the four letters from Pecan Pie cardstock.  Then I adhered them to the Cherry Cobbler square with Liquid Glue.

Using Stampin’ Dimensionals – I adhered the sentiment panel over the ribbon.

I added five champagne-colored gems from the Adhesive-backed Sparkle Gems and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped a sentiment from the Christmas Classics set in Pecan Pie ink on a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock.  In the corner, I stamped the Christmas Classics pine bough image twice in Shaded Spruce.  Then, over the top, I stamped the foliage image from Joy of Noel in Old Olive ink.  I colored the berries with my Light Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blend.  Then I added an Adhesive-backed Sparkle Gem.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Shaded Spruce mat and into the Cherry Cobbler card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got the Christmas Classics and Joy of Noel foliage on the front…

…and more Joy of Christmas DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Oh – my – goodness, y’all!  This is our most “traditional” Christmas suite in the new Mini catalog – and boy is it gorgeous!  The Joy of Noel and Christmas Classics bundles go together like peanut butter and chocolate (and we ALL know how good THAT is!).  And the Joy of Christmas DSP is…stunning.  I see a few more packs of THAT one in my future!!
