Today’s card features a beautiful bundle that might want to be on your list if you don’t have it already! It’s the Gorgeously Made bundle and I really really like it!  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one is from this week’s Sketch Saturday challenge!

I started by stamping the long image from the Gorgeously Made stamp set in Lost Lagoon ink four times on a Basic White panel.

Then I double matted the panel – first on Lost Lagoon and then on Misty Moonlight using Liquid Glue.

I stamped the small sentiment in Misty Moonlight.

I used the Gorgeously Made die set to cut a Lost Lagoon and a Lemon Lolly leaf.

Each leaf is adhered to the card front with Liquid Glue.

Using my Light Misty Moonlight Stampin’ Blend, I colored a length of Black & White 1/4″ Gingham Ribbon. Did you know you could do that?!

Then I tied a small simple bow and adhered it with a Glue Dot.

I added a few Lemon Lolly Adhesive-backed Solid Gems (these are one of my favorite embellishments!!) and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped the Gorgeously Made leaf image in Lemon Lolly on a Basic White panel.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Lost Lagoon and a Misty Moonlight mat and then into my Basic Black card base, popped the card front on with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Lemon Lolly Gorgeously Made leaf on the front…

…and I adhered some Lost Lagoon Subtles 6″ x 6″ DSP on the envelope flap.

Et voila!  Right??  We all know that CAS just isn’t how I usually roll but…I DO love how this one turned out – and it’s thanks to beautiful colors and the wunnermus Gorgeously Made bundle! 🙂

Finn Fan Fix

So – need y’all to send feel-better thoughts to the Man.

As I was doing my post last night – he was lying behind the sofa.  Didn’t bring Mr. Bear to play when we came in.

He DID – sort of – bark at Cady for rubbing on the hay net.

And he did walk around with us – trotting part of the way.

Did want a cookie when we got in the house.

But…not quite spot-on. Mom’s just…know.

We have weather coming in and it’s hotter and muggier today than it’s been.  Had a vet diagnose our horse with ADR once many years ago.  That’s “Ain’t Doing Right”.  So – sort of a non-specific malaise.

He told me then that when a weather system comes in he would see lots of colics and ADR cases.

Hoping and hoping that that’s what my fur-bucket’s got going on.

And I am pretty sure I am leaping to ALL the worst conclusions.

But….I can’t help it very much.   🙏🙏🙏

  1. Gorgeously made 😉 Prayers for Finn! It makes me so sad when our fur children are not up to snuff. It’s our job as Moms to be concerned. Chester is logy as well. Keep us posted.

    • stampsnlingers

And I am a champion worrier, for sure! 🤷‍♀️. Thank you so much, my friend! 🙂

  2. Such a pretty card! Love the colors and the clean design is perfect! Hope that Finn is back up and running full speed this morning! Bummer that he wasn’t feeling well last night.

    • stampsnlingers

Well – nope – but…we got some meds in him so he was feeling better on Tuesday afteroon. We’ll see how he feels tomorrow when it wears off! Thanks, Amy! 🙂

  3. Sue Floyd

Good morning Mary. Thinking of you and hoping “happy tails” will prevail!
    Sue

    • stampsnlingers

Thanks Sue – me, too! And sooner than later! 🙂

  4. Paula

Nice card Mary. You always inspire me.
    And to the Man…
She it off Big Boy! You’re giving mom and your fans the WORRIES!!
    HUGS and Happy Independence Day!

    • stampsnlingers

No kidding! Getting too old for this worry! Thanks, Paula! 🙂

  5. Susan K

Great take on the sketch—I love those leaves and your choice of colors. TFS. Hope Finn is back up and DRN (Doin Right Now). Hopefully just a little heat slowin’ him down—it sure does me! Thanks for the good pet/fireworks tips.

    • stampsnlingers

It does me, too – but…I think it was more than that. Not sure WHAT, exactly, but something! Thank you so much, Susan! 🙂

  6. Beautifully designed card and a fabulous take on our sketch! I hope your pup is feeling better, it’s so hard when they can’t tell us what is wrong!!
Thank you for joining our challenge at Sketch Saturday!

  7. Sue A. Jordan

WILL SAY A PRAYER THAT HE GETS FEELING WELL REAL SOON.

  8. Karen Lang

We are sending “feel better soon, Finn” thoughts to your boy! Every once in a while our “fur baby” has kind of an “off-day”……sort of lays around, doesn’t eat much & is just generally more quiet then normal………maybe a fasting day!! We always worry that more is going on & keep an eye on him……but, then the next day he is up to his usual routine!! So, hope things are better tomorrow……maybe it’s just the extremely warm weather as your vet sort of suggested to………..keeping fingers crossed & hope tomorrow is a better day!! It’s tough when our pets don’t feel well & can’t tell us what is the problem!!!!! Happy 4th of July & happy crafting.

    • stampsnlingers

Not sure what’s going on with him – but I thing we made some strides toward helping him feel better – and ruled out some things, which was a relief! Thank you so much, Karen!

  9. Kim

So hard when our fur babies aren’t feeling and acting normal, they can’t tell us what’s the matter. Sending prayers for you all!

    • stampsnlingers

Yup – it really is hard, Kim – thank you so much! 🙂

  10. JudiH

Very pretty card! Sending positive vibes to the FinnMan 😍

    • stampsnlingers

Thanks, my friend. On both counts! 🙂

  11. Kate

Oh, dear! So sorry the Finn ADR. Wonder if the smoke got to him? Prayers through Sts. Kevin and Roche for all to be well ASAP.

    • stampsnlingers

Yep – we’ll take them, Mom, thanks! Don’t think it’s the smoke, no. 🤷‍♀️

  12. Bonnie Kasjaka

I’m praying for Finn to get better and feel better and that it’s nothing serious. I hope maybe it’s just the weather that’s taking the energy out of him. We all hate when our babies are not feeling well.

    • stampsnlingers

Yes we do – it’s very focusing and makes it hard to concentrate on much of anything else, doesn’t it?! Thank you so much for the prayers, Bonnie! 🙂

  13. Faith Simpson

Well, I understand ADR…..it bothers me every once in a while…but for Finn?? No! ….just no……prayers for your sweet man…..!!
Gorgeously Made hasn’t been one of my favorite sets……i love the DSP tho…..and I really like how you used it on this card!!

    • stampsnlingers

Thanks, Faith – I’d rather be sick for a month than have him feeling bad for a day. I know you feel the same about Buffy! Glad you like the card! 🙂

  14. ANN D

I love your card, and the bundle is attractive, but I have to wonder: What IS that “long image” supposed to be? Or are we not supposed to ask? … Hoping the ADR is fleeting!

    • stampsnlingers

LOL – I don’t know! I think it’s just texture! 🤷‍♀️ We’re working on being on the mend, for sure. Thanks, Ann! 🙂

  15. Gail Schoolcraft

Very pretty card, Mary! I really like the DSP that goes with, but hadn’t really paid that much attention to the accompanying stamp set, Like what you did with it. Poor Finn! Glad he’s doing some better and continues to improve. It’s always so worrisome when they aren’t acting “normal” and that’s something we pick up on quickly!

    • stampsnlingers

Yup – we feel it before we can see it! :). Thank you so much, Gail – glad that you liked the card! 🙂
