Stampin’ Up! Perched in a Tree Lights Aglow CAS Christmas Card

Good morning on Monday!  It’s back to reality (ie: cooking my own meals!!) after a most wonderful weekend.  I wish we could do these retreats once a MONTH instead of once a YEAR!! Such a good time with friends – fun crafting – and amazing food!! 🙂

My card today is a simple little number using the uber-pretty Perched in a Tree bundle – the Aspen Tree die set provides the star of the show! – and some elegant vanilla-and-gold Lights Aglow Specialty DSP!  Take a look-see:

Right?  So pretty!

The layout for this one is from this week’s Freshly Made Sketches!

I started by adhering the gorgeous Lights Aglow Specialty DSP to a piece of Evening Evergreen cardstock to create the card front.

Next, I stamped a sentiment from the Perched in a Tree set in Cherry Cobbler in the corner of a square of Very Vanilla cardstock.

I embossed the panel in the snowflake folder from the Wintry 3D Embossing Folder pack and matted it on Evening Evergreen.  Then I adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

Using the small leaf die from the bundled Aspen Tree Die set, I cut three leaves from Distressed Gold Specialty Paper.

Using Stampin’ Dimensionals, I adhered the three leaves to the card front in a grid.

Then I added a Gold Adhesive-Backed Swirl embellishment by the sentiment and the card front was done!

Remember – these pretty embellishments are part of the new Fitting Florets suite – which demonstrators (including anyone who JOINS right now!!) can get right now – and customers can get on 1 November!!

For the inside, I stamped a second sentiment from Perched in a Tree in Cherry Cobbler on a Very Vanilla panel.  From the All Bundled Up stamp set, I borrowed the cute snowflakes and stamped them in Versamark Ink – sprinkled them with Gold Embossing Powder and heat set them!

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to an Evening Evergreen mat and into my Cherry Cobbler card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got the All Bundled Up snowflakes heat embossed in Gold on the front…

…and a little more of that sweet Lights Aglow Specialty DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!!  I do love the gorgeous die cuts from the Aspen Tree Dies – and the sentiments and images from Perched in a Tree are the sweet bundled accompaniment!  It’s also fun to find the PERFECT image tucked into another stamp set on your shelf – and I was tickled with the snowflakes from All Bundled Up!

I hope you like!

If you’d like to recreate this card, all the products and card cuts are listed below!  I also did a quick video on how to make this one – you can check it out right here! 🙂
