Stampin’ Up! Festive Florets Sticky Note Easel Holder for the SU Demos Fun Fold Blog Hop

Good morning everyone and welcome to the Fun Folds Blog Hop for Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators!  We’ve got a talented line-up and…I think you’re going to like what you see!  This’ll be a once-a-month hop and…all our cards will be fun folds!!  Whoo-hoo!

At our retreat last weekend, my friend Karen Ksenzakovic gave us all adorable little sticky notepad holders – that are ALSO easel folds!  I loved it so much that I asked for her permission to make my own to share with you – and she said yes!  Thanks, Karen K!

Mine features the available-soon Framed & Festive stamp set, plus the Fitting Florets DSP.  I actually made three different versions using the entire new suite – including the Framed Florets Bundle! Here’s the first one I made – it’s perfect for Christmas!

The fold is really quick and easy – so you can really have fun with your decorating!

It starts with a 3 1/4″ x 8 1/2″ piece of Night of Navy cardstock for the base. Using my Simply Scored Score Tool, I scored along the long side at 4 1/4″ and 6 3/8″.  Folding both score lines in the same direction creates the easel base.

I use Liquid Glue to adhere a piece of Fitting Florets DSP to a Polished Pink mat – and then to a 3 1/4″ x 4 1/4″ piece of Night of Navy cardstock. That’s the easel panel itself!

Using the oval die in the new Framed Florets die set (part of the bundle of the same name – and available on 1 Nov.  Or…you know…TODAY!! 😉 ) I cut out a Basic White oval and popped it onto the front of the easel panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I used the large leaf die in the Framed Florets set to cut out a Balmy Blue leaf and adhered it to the oval with Liquid Glue.

Then I cut out two small leaves from gold Glimmer 12″ x 12″ Specialty Paper – and adhered one over the Balmy Blue leaf.

On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the pretty floral from the Framed Florets set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink – then cut it out with the coordinating die from the set.  I colored the flowers and leaves using my Polished Pink and Soft Succulent Stampin’ Blends.

I adhered the die cut flowers to the oval with Liquid Glue – then slid the second small Glimmer leaf under the right side of the die cut, adhering it with Liquid Glue.

I stamped the Framed & Festive sentiment in Polished Pink on a narrow strip of Basic White, snipped banner ends and popped it in place with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

A few of the Gold Adhesive-backed Swirls embellishments – part of the new suite! – on the front of the easel finished it off.

I adhered the completed panel to the lower panel of the easel base using Liquid Glue – and the front/easel was done!

I used Stampin’ Seal + to adhere a sticky note pad on the inside and this one was done!

I mentioned that I’d made a couple more.  They go together EXACTLY the same way.  Check it.

– Easel Base and Front Panel are Soft Succulent cardstock.

– Mat and Oval is Daffodil Delight cardstock.

– Flowers are colored with Daffodil Delight and Soft Succulent Stampin Blends

– Large Framed Florets Leaf cut from Soft Succulent cardstock.

– Small leaves cut from white glimmer paper in the Red & White 6″ x 6″ Glimmer Paper pack.

– Used Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels on the front.

– Sentiment is from Framed Florets and stamped in Evening Evergreen.

– Easel Base and Front Panel are Balmy Blue cardstock.

– Mat and Oval is Basic White cardstock.

– Flowers are die cut from the Fitting Florets DSP using a die from the Framed Florets Dies.

– Large Framed Florets Leaf cut from Balmy Blue cardstock.

– Small leaves cut from Evening Evergreen glimmer paper in the Glimmer 12″ x 12″ Glimmer Paper pack.

– Used Gold Adhesive-backed Swirls on the front.
