Stampin’ Up! Gorgeous Detailed Leaves Reflected in Nature Masculine Card

Well – good morning, y’all!  Did you have a good weekend?  Mine was busy – and fun!  After Backstage on Friday and Saturday, we had our great Check Out The Krew FB event and it was great!  If you were able to join us – I hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!  If you couldn’t watch – there’s a lot of good info still on the page – and…maybe even some prize patrols still open! 😉  And – I hope you are – or will be! –  thinking about taking advantage of the great opportunity to join Stampin’ Up! with our team!  We’d love to have you in our Stampin’ Up! family!

The card I made for you today is probably going to make you say….Mary, is that YOUR card?!  😳 It even surprised me!  I used the pretty Blackberry Beauty Specialty DSP to make a….clean-and-simple, masculine!…card!  Gorgeous Leaves and its bundled Intricate Leaves die set paired with a simple sentiment from the Reflected in Nature stamp set.  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one comes courtesy of the Freshly Made Sketches challenge this week!

This one is stupid-easy, y’all, so….here we go!

I started by adhering a piece of Blackberry Beauty Specialty DSP to an Early Espresso mat.

Next up, I cut a piece of Cinnamon Cider cardstock and, using the leaves in the Gorgeous Leaves stamp set, stamped all over it in Cinnamon Cider ink.

I used the “wood grain” image and the smaller “splatter” image in the Gorgeous Leaves set and stamped over top of the leaves – but this time I inked-then stamped on scrap paper – then stamped the cardstock without re-inking!  That’s called stamping-off-once, in case you’re wondering! 😉

I adhered the panel to an Early Espresso mat and then to the card front with Stampin’ Seal.

Using one of the dies in the Intricate Leaves set, I cut a pretty leaf from some lovely Gold Shimmer Vellum.  I trimmed the stem and then adhered the leaf to the card front with Liquid Glue.

On a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock, I stamped a Reflected in Nature sentiment in Blackberry Bliss ink.  Then I adhered the strip to a Cinnamon Cider mat.  I used Paper Snips to cut a little banner in the one end!

I popped the strip onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals, added some Brushed Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots and the card front was done!

On the inside, I inked and stamped-off-once the pretty leaf from Gorgeous Leaves and stamped it in the corner of a Very Vanilla panel.

I used Stampin’ Seal to adhere the panel to an Early Espresso mat and into my Blackberry Bliss card base, and the card was done!

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got the same Gorgeous Leaves leaf on the front – this time in full-strength Cinnamon Cider…

…and a little more of the Blackberry Beauty Specialty DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I am always so tickled with myself when I manage to create a CAS card!  Go, me!!  It was really easy to do with the Gorgeous Leaves stamp set and bundled Intricate Leaves die set.  And the Blackberry Beauty Speciatly DSP has several not-overly-feminine designs, too! 🙂

I hope you like!

Finn Fan Fix

We had a little visitor in the garden yesterday.

See ‘im?

How ’bout now?

Still no?

There he is!

He was a little longer than the palm of my hand.

I’m pretty sure I heard him say….Fifteen minutes could save you 15% or more on car insurance…. 🤔🤔

And – his second cousin twice removed was playing in the tomatillo garden!

Not saying I want them as pets or anything but….they ARE pretty stinkin’ cute! 😉

  1. Love your card! The colors are perfect and so is the clean design! Cute little visitor too…but I agree, outside is the place for them to be. 😉

    • stampsnlingers

Yes – I’m not a fan of them being inside (but mostly cuz it usually ends badly for them!). Thanks so much, Amy! 🙂

  2. Oh, my, gosh, chock on the coffee time when I got to the insurance plug…lol! They are cute!! I love your card and it is soooo atypical you!

    • stampsnlingers

LOL – sorry?! Glad you liked it – it just seemed so perfect. At one point he moved his head JUST like the Geico gecko!! 🙂 Thanks, Karen! 🙂

  5. Kathy Carter

Oh great!! You’ve got mother nature’s Pest Control Patrol in your garden! Beware garden bugs!

    • stampsnlingers

Yes!! I’ll take as many of them as I can get and they can just eat themselves silly! Thanks, Kathy! 🙂

  6. Susan K

That beautiful paper doesn’t need lots of extras on it to make a gorgeous card—like you have here! Love your leaf paper and that single gold shimmer leaf. TFS
Love your visitors (and the flowers). I used to keep anoles in a terrarium in the library and they were the students’ favorites, even moreso than the tarantula.😀

    • stampsnlingers

Those little guys are really cute – I love having them around! 🙂 Thanks so much, Susan! 🙂

  7. I love this! The colors are rich and the paper is so pretty! Thanks for celebrating this milestone challenge with us at Freshly Made Sketches!

Thanks very much, Amy – hope you’ll have many more!! We all appreciate all the work you guys do for us! 🙂

  8. WOW!
What a gorgeous card, and all the leaves keep it from being TOO CAS. Love the colors. So rich, and so elegant. I love those leaves, and that Blackberry DSP.
What a cute little garden friend. He will help if you have bugs you don’t want. And, pretty good commercial BTW. 🙂

    • stampsnlingers

Yep – he and all his cousins are welcome to stay as long as they like! They’re the good guys! Thanks very much, Julie! 🙂
