Good morning from Maui! I can hardly believe it’s Friday already! 🙁 But today we’re headed out bright and early to go snorkeling at Molokini! I am excited – and yes, a little nervous. Wayne and I did a Snorkeling demo the other day in the hotel pool, just so I’d be at least a little familiar with the equipment and the how-to. I think I sort of got it – but…guess we’ll see this morning! 🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️ We ALSO did a SCUBA demo. WAYNE loved it – and he and Lance did a longer dive class – out in the ocean! – on Thursday and are going to dive with the turtles on Saturday.
Me? Nope. SCUBA not for this girl. I’ll stick to paddling on the surface, thank you very much! 😉
My card today is totally non-aquatic! I used the fun Celebrate with Flowers stamp set – with its vertical Happy Birthday sentiment – and the pretty Expressions in Ink Specialty DSP and Ephemera Pack. Take a look-see:
I played along with the Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week.
I started with a Pale Papaya card base of 5 1/2″ x 7 5/8″ – that I scored and folded at 4 1/4″ – which created a shorter front panel.
I matted a piece of Expressions in Ink Specialty DSP on Evening Evergreen for the card front.
I pulled several pretty pieces of gold foil die cuts from the Expressions in Ink Ephemera Pack and adhered them to the card front with Liquid Glue. I tied a simple bow from two lengths of the Crumb Cake twine in the Baker’s Twine Essentials Pack and added it with a Glue Dot.
On another design of Expressions in Ink Specialty DSP, I stamped the Celebrate With Flowers sentiment in Evening Evergreen and cut it with a die from the Hippo & Friends Die set.
I popped the sentiment label over the gold foil die cuts and bow with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Then, I added some sequins from the Ephemera Pack and the card front was done!
For the inside, I stamped the vertical sentiment from Celebrate With Flowers in Evening Evergreen on a Basic White panel. Then I stamped the leaves image in Just Jade up in the corner.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to an Evening Evergreen mat and into the Pale Papaya card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Celebrate With Flowers leaves in Just Jade on the front…
…and more of the Expressions in Ink Specialty DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! The Expressions in Ink Specialty DSP and coordinating Ephemera Pack are just so beautiful (I LOVE the foil die cuts and those sequins are the best!!). And I’ve always liked vertical sentiments, so the Celebrate With Flowers was high on my list from the jump. And the fact that it ALSO includes fun floral images is a real bonus!
I hope you like!

Finn Fan Fix
Some fun pillow gifts showed up for us on Wednesday afternoon!! 🙂
After we oooh’d and ahhh’d over those for a minute, we headed to Lahaina (Land of the Cruel Sun) for some shopping and dinner at the Kobe Japanese restaurant.
As we walked back to the car – the mountains were shrouded in clouds – this is near the valley of the Forbidden Water that we flew over on Monday in the helicopter!
Then we got to see the gorgeous sunset. Sunsets are sort of an “event” here – folks gather in oceanfront parks and head out to their balconey’s to watch each evening!
Finn? He was sleeping off his day in the pool!
His love for swimming and “helping” is noted in most of his daily report cards! 😉
