Good morning and….Happy Happy Hawwwwwmp Day! THIS week, I’m not too anxious for the weekend cuz it’ll mean our trip is half over! We’ll be headed to Kauai this weekend, though, so…I don’t guess it’s TOO awful, right?!? 😉
Today’s card uses the fun In Symmetry stamp set along with a little Sweet Symmetry DSP. Take a look-see:
The layout for this one is from the Fab Friday sketch challenge this week.
I started by adhering a piece of Sweet Symmetry DSP to a Just Jade mat with Liquid Glue to make the card front.
Next, I cut a Basic White rectangle. Across it, I stamped the flower image from the In Symmetry set in Calypso Coral and Bumble Bee ink. Tip – do the one in the middle first – then eyeball the separation for the other two flowers! 😉
I added Just Jade stems and leaves – this is a photopolymer set so it’s easy-peasy to line everything up!
I adhered the panel to a Just Jade mat and onto the card front with Liquid Glue.
I used Stampin’ Seal to adhere a length of new Just Jade & Gold 3/8″ Braided Ribbon to the card front – I frayed the ends a bit cuz it’s cool! 😉
I stamped the sentiment from In Symmetry in Night of Navy ink on Just Jade, cut it with a Scalloped Contours label die and then popped it over the ribbon with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A silver round from the Silver & Clear Epoxy Essentials on the sentiment label finished off the card front!
On the inside, I added a second In Symmetry sentiment in Night of Navy on a Basic White panel. Then I added a Calypso Coral heart and the flower in the corner!!
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Just Jade mat and into my Night of Navy card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the In Symmetry flower and hearts on the front…
…and a little more Sweet Symmetry DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! Such a sweet little stamp set – and there’s the matching Symmetrical Stems Border Punch that you can get bundled with it for a 10% saving!) – In Symmetry is one you might be tempted to overlook. But…don’t! Look what fun you can have with it – especially when you factor in the matching Sweet Symmetry DSP!
I hope you like!

Finn Fan Fix
Finn must have had a big day – when we checked on him on Tuesday evening, he was sacked out hard! 🙂
We didn’t get a chance to check him too much during the day cuz we were up in the mountains ziplining! And it was FUN! I’ll have more pics and info on that for you on Friday!
We had a great day on Tuesday – even with the shuttle van breaking down just short of the Skyline Zipline where we were headed! Blew a transmission hose – the hill is STEEP! 😳😳😳
Once we got another ride up the hill with a second tour driver – we had a great few hours with Haley and Chauncey (our zipline tour guides!).
And then our amazing driver – Cheyenne – took us down into Kahului to Ululani’s Hawaiian Shave Ice Stand (https://www.ululanishawaiianshaveice.com/menu-rev/) –
…where she gave us the spot-on recommendation for the Mango/Pineapple/Hi Ling Mui Shaved Ice, with ice cream underneath (I did Macadamia Nut!) and a “snow cap” (which is a drizzle of sweetened condensed milk!). It was totally delish!
Back at the hotel – we stopped by the SU Hospitality Room to “spin the big wheel” and I won a sweet new stamp set from the next Mini Catalog!
We got back to the room to find a really pretty Stampin’ Up! sunhat and beach towel waiting for us – our next “pillow gift”! How cute is that hat!?
That evening, we went to the SU Carnival – the welcome event for the demonstrators who arrived for the main portion of the Trip!
Got a pic with Amy…
Then we spent a very pleasant couple of hours mingling and snacking a bit and enjoying time with our friends!
Finally – it was off to bed to get ready for Wednesday! Wayne and I are doing a little snorkel demo/prep in the hotel pool in the morning and then we’re headed to Lahaina today to see the sights and eat some food (shocker!).
More on our amazing Skyline Zipline adventure on Friday!
