Stampin’ Up! Good Morning Magnolia Memory Fun Fold with Video Tutorial

Good Friday to you!

Literally!

If you were able to join me yesterday for my YouTube Live video – I appreciate you spending part of your day with me.  If not – and you’d like to see how to make this fun fold, here’s the replay!

The Good Morning Magnolia stamp set and matching Magnolia Memory Die set are retiring soon.  I wanted to do another project with it so that I could showcase the gorgeous flowers you can make with the die set.  And I turned it all into a fun fold, with a little Fine Art Floral DSP thrown in.  Take a look-see:

The layout for the front of this card comes from The Paper Players challenge this week.

I started with a 4 1/4″ x 10″ piece of Basic Black that I scored and folded at 2 3/4″ and again at 8 1/4″.

I cut two piece of Golden Garden Specialty Acetate the same size as the two panels resulting from the folds (2 3/4″ x 4 1/4″ and 1 3/4″ x 4 1/4″).  I used Glue Dots under the printed parts of the acetate to adhere the panels to the card base.  NOTE: in the video, I used my Fine Tip Glue Pen.  Afterwards, I realized that the glue wasn’t holding (cuz I couldn’t use enough and keep it hidden) so I replaced it with Glue Dots. 😉

I matted two pieces of Fine Art Floral DSP on Blushing Bride to make my strips.  I adhered the strip on the left to just the top panel with Liquid Glue, and the right-hand strip to just the bottom panel.

Using the dies in the Magnolia Memory Die set, I cut two large petals and one each of the medium and small petals.  Using a Blending Brush, I very lightly colored the middle portions of all four petals with Bumble Bee Ink.

I used my Bone Folder and my fingers to curl and lightly crease the petals – then stacked them up and adhered them together with Liquid Glue.

I cut a larger Bumble Bee flower center and adhered it in the middle of the flower with Liquid Glue, then cut the smaller flower center from Cinnamon Cider and popped it on with a piece of Stampin’ Dimensional.

Before adhering the flower, I made the inner liner.  I stamped the flourish image from Good Morning Magnolia in Blushing Bride on the top and bottom of a Basic White Panel.  I set the panel in place inside the card and closed the card.  Then I stamped the Good Morning Magnolia sentiment in Tuxedo Black in the “gap”.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Blushing Bride mat and into the card base.

With that done, I closed the card and used Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop the completed flower onto the left-hand strip – making sure it overlapped the other strip (which makes it like a little holder-closed-er….).

I cut Old Olive and Mossy Meadow leaves using the Magnolia Memory Dies and tucked them under the flower, adhering them with Liquid Glue – and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Good Morning Magnolia flourish on the front…

…and more of the Fine Art Floral DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  The Good Morning Magnolia stamp set (retiring soon ) is stunning, with its beautiful florals and pretty sentiments.  Y’all!  The matching Magnolia Memory Die set is on sale at 75% off – that’s just $8.75!  Which means (MORE MATH!) – you could buy the stamp set ($36) and the Dies ($8.75) for just $44.75.  That’s WAY less than the $63.75 BUNDLE price would have been.  I guess I mentioned 75% off?!? 😉

I hope you like!
